The boy didn't even understand that he was a slave. Suce was the innocence of his heart, of his mind. He had been sick for a long while, confined and quarantined to a den, but now he was back to full health and ready to play! Nevermind the fact he was almost a year old now. His eyes shown with the same innocence as the day he had opened them, and the naive little creature would wander about Imperium with little care as he searched for his friend Ashmendai. The Rex, the Leader's Leader as Ash called him, was really strong looking. He didn't seem to like Mieu for some reason that the boy couldn't figure out. Oh well~ Humming softly to himself Mieu would come to a stop within the middle of the range, flopping down. Man, looking for Ash was tiring work! His ears would perk, head tilted to the side as he wondered why not many of the wolves here spoke to him. Surely they were all friends under the leader and leader's leader, right? And he was the Leader's lead! That had to count for something. Mieu would get distracted from his thoughts by a nagging itch on his ear and he got to scratching. Sora had been advancing in her hunting skill as she had to survive on her own, she had gotten up to hunting hares and baby deer. She was quite proud of her abilities, although she hadn’t met many wolves upon her journeys that she could boast to. Upon her traveling something would catch her eye it was a small brown wolf, and he smelled like…”Mieeeuuuuuu” the pup would run headlong towards her brother disregarding anything else. She hadn’t seen any of her family in so long she didn’t care about anything else the moment she realized who he was. He was her brother and in this moment that’s all that mattered.

Bright blue eyes snapped open at the unfamiliar scent that the wind carried past her nostrils.  What… was… this.  Birna got to her feet, shaking out her coat from a lazy summer nap near the border after her finished patrol.  Apparently the rumors of Imperium being ruled by giants wasn't enough to frighten off everyone… she remember her conversation with Esti.  Fools, there were always fools.  The bear woman flexed and stretched a moment for breaking in a run, right for the source of the trespassers scent.  She honed in on it like a missile, eyes focusing on the yearling fae that had walked right across their borders.  Birna held little sympathy for the girl.  She'd escaped a dangerous regime, fought in several battles, and maimed a foolish bitch in a siege all before her second year.  The girl was old enough to understand borders.  Though Birna knew the wolves of this land were painfully soft.  While she would not permanently disfigure the runt she would all to happily put the girl in the dirt. Birna's defenses were set, her skull and tail aligned with her spine, her chin tucked, neck scrunched back and shoulders rolled forward.  Hackles laced down her back and her limbs were spread about equidistant apart, her weight shifting evenly over them.  Her toes splayed wide, claws tearing into the earth as her jaws parted, the flesh of her brow bunching as her eyes narrowed and her ears pinned to her head. As she'd been near the border Birna was positioned to the girls left and she would hope to stay there as she attempted to come in low and close the distance between herself and the girl.  Birna attempted to approach from Sora's left side and keep herself lined up perpendicularly just in front of the girls left hip.  Keeping her chin tucked Birna would attempt to bite the tiny girls back, just in front of her hips, seeking to land her upper fangs along the right of the girls spine and her lower fangs along the left with the spine in between her jaws.  She wanted to get a solid grip to put pressure on the spine and possibly crack a few of the little vertebrae to bring her opponent to the ground.   In addition to her bite Birna attempted to throw the lower front of her left shoulder into the girls left side, just behind the ribs and equidistant between the girls belly and spine.  She hoped to cause severe bruising and maybe make the girl wretch.  As she moved for the shoulder throw her weight would shift to her front left leg and her back legs as her right forepaw would lift as she attempted to bring it down, along with her by far superior weight, crashing onto the girls left hind paw with the intention of severely spraining the toes if not fracturing a few.  Pain was a good teacher. The boy would look up as he heard his name. Sora? Sora! He would get up, tail wagging happily back and forth. Excitement would rise within his heart, his blue eyes sparkling. He hadn't seen her in forever! He would practically dance on his paws, ready to start to bolt towards her, when he caught movement out of the corner of his eye. Here came a female like a bullet, aiming to hurt his sister. Ears would pin back, his eyes widening with horror. Mieu didn't understand what she was doing, why she was doing this. The innocent boy would feel a scream tear from his mouth, trying in vain to reach his sister before the woman crashed into her. "Sora look out!" He was scared to death. He had never seen two wolves fight before. What if this woman hurt his sister? What if... what if she was chased away!? Mieu would feel tears stinging his eyes, helplessness flooding him. He didn't know what to do. "Listen to me talk, 'but know my thoughts

Ashmedai smelled Mieu. That meant he was out of the den! If he was out of the den, then he was feeling better! Ash made his way towards his friend when he heard Mieu scream. Feeling panicked, the titan ran forward, bursting onto seen. He smelled the intruder and bristled, seeing Birna already on the job. Without pausing, Ash ran to Mieu, seeking to grab his scruff and pull the smaller boy under himself slightly, aiming to wrap his left foreleg around the boy's neck to stop him from squirming away or trying to jump in the fight. Ashmedai didn't know what was going on, but he had a duty to protect his lead, Mieu, at all costs.

And the winner is...

Birna! Due to Sora not replying, most likely because she is terrified of the massive, pale wolf barreling towards her with a snarl face, Birna wins dominance over Sora. Hopefully Sora will not have nightmares about the massive woman attacking her. ;)

Sora was glad to see her brother still remembered her, she was even ecstatic you could say. She would smile and her tail would start to wag as she heard something come from her brother’s mouth that she had never heard anything like it before. “Sora, look out.” She looked to her left to see a large white wolf running at her with a face that didn’t say friendship. Sora panicked why would a wolf do this, assume the worst of somebody they just met that just wasn’t right. She felt a sharp pain in her back and she let out a high pitched scream as she was forced to the ground. The other movements that the wolf was doing for seemingly no reason didn’t affect her since she was on the ground and they were so much taller than her. But nevertheless Sora was in pain, more pain than she had ever been in her life. Why did pain have to hurt, why couldn’t it just not exist. The girl lay on the ground heavily breathing trying to reduce the pain. What had happened, she couldn’t think of a reason why was she attacked the wolf had no reason to attack her. Did they just have trust issues or did they have some sort of mental disease, the poor pup just didn’t know.

Oblivious to the cries around Birna remained intently focused on her quarry as her powerful legs devoured the distance between herself and her opponent. The girl didn't stand a chance as the larger woman collided with her. Fangs dug into the girls back as she rapidly forced the other in the dirt. Birna released her grip as she stood over the girl, tail curling over her back in a show of dominance. "GET OUT!" she snarled. "Imperium does not tolerate trespassers. Stay and a more severe punishment is sure to befall you. Consider yourself lucky that you are even being offered a choice." The majority of wolves would maimed or claimed on sight but she would give this yearling a chance even though she fully believed the girl ought to know better. Birna was all to aware that she did not have the ability to claim the girl and she slowly steeled herself to maim the other should it come down to it though she hoped the girl was wise enough to leave while she still had the chance.

Mieu's heart was pounding. Panic. Fear. Everything rose in his throat all at once. He was almost immediately held back, and it took him a moment to realize what was happening to him. Ashmendai was above him, holding him back as he watched his sister get thrown into the dirt. Mieu felt tears stinging his eyes, a cry leaving his lips. "Sorraaaaa!" He wouldn't struggle against Ash, but more-so collapse against him, ears pinning against his skull as he shook. This couldn't be happening, his sister forced down in the dirt... was that woman going to hurt her? Something worse? He didn't know. Mieu fought for some sort of stability in his mind. He looked up at Ash, pleading with him. "Stop them... please Ash! Please don't let that woman hurt her! She's my sister!" The words hurt his throat to speak. They felt scratchy. Like something was trying to keep them from coming out. He would squeeze his eyes closed, begging again. "Please don't let her hurt my sister anymore..." "Listen to me talk, 'but know my thoughts
