Right in the Kisser

Shaye made the cogs move in his mind, the idea of fighting. She wanted to learn...but did he really know enough to teach her? He would have to find out, now wouldn't he? Most of what he knew was instinct, rather than actual combat. He would trot towards the battlefield, his head staring forward with intent. He had a mission, and today was the perfect day to attempt to battle. The storms that thundered in the sky echoed in his chest, fueling his fire and giving him determination. Deep blue eyes would narrow as he rolled across the territories, ears perking at the sound of a rather demanding call. At least he wouldn't have to wait too long. A smirk would spread across his lips as he moved in the direction of her summonance, lightning streaking across the sky. He approached her intently, his lips drawn into a deep frown. He didn't say anything to her, just dipped his head in greeting as he fluidly set up his stance. Shaye flashed through his mind, her adoreable stance and silly growl. With a shake of his head he'd lower it, keeping his eyes on his opponent as his chin ducked and jaws parted. Lips would curl up, showing glistening canines as his face transformed into that of a beast. Deep eyes would narrow as he stared at her, searching for a weakness or an in. There was a distance of 10 feet between them, which, with one sudden thrust on coiled, bent knees, he began to close. Paws would spread to shoulder width apart in his bounds, his toes and nails digging into earth each bound. His shoulders would raise, pushing skin and fur to protect his delicate neck, as his hackles and fur rose on end too. Tail was level behind him, like a flag or a rudder to help his balance. He approached her headlong, eyes glinting before he suddenly shifted to his left (her right) around two feet away. He didn't slow, using his momentum to his advantage. Shoulder would roll forward as a lance as he attempted to drive it into the soft joint between right shoulder and chest. The impact would be great, if it hit, and he hoped he could drive her right shoulder out of socket and out of commission. He hoped his momentum would aid in the bone rattling impact he desired, much like thunder crashing through the sky. With gaping jaws he'd swing his head to the right, hoping to latch on to the soft muscle along her neck, close to where her shoulders jut out. He hoped for a solid grip, to dig his teeth into flesh and take control of her neck, if possible. His right forepaw would reach forward, snaking in an attempt to wrap around her right forepaw and hopefully tug it towards his chest and out from under her, to disrupt her balance. As the woman slipped passed them and the impact he had been expecting and bracing forward never came he couldn't help but let out a gasp that quickly transformed into a snarl. He moved to follow her, to twist his body around and not allow her to get the upper hand on his unprotected side. Tail would swiftly flow under him, protecting his underbelly and special areas from her teeth should she get so far. His teeth would slice along her side, but failed to achieve the hold he wanted. Blue eyes would narrow and ears would press back as his lips curled dangerously. He'd watch her, as if in slow motion, flowing passed him as his own momentum pushed him forward. The impact that he hadn't been expecting hit his gut, nearly knocking the wind from him as the shoulder crashed into the tender area between his ribs and his right hock. A bruise would form there, deep and painful, tender, but not too severe. But good things seemed to come from the pain, the impact would help him twist around, evading her teeth. His hind end would stumble at the hit, twisting out of her reach but not by much. He breathed a breath of relief as her teeth clipped air, and he'd growl, coiling up his muscles in the milaseconds it took for all this to happen. His hind legs would bend, bracing as toes and nails dug into the earth. With a savage growl he'd lung, aiming for her own rear end that had flowed passed him. He hoped to colide his chest with her right back limb, hoping his momentum would drive the wide flat of his chest directly into her hind end, directly across the outter thigh of her right back limb. Gaping jaws would aim, hopefully with more precision this time, towards her tail bone, hoping to dig in with a solid grip and cause pain to this sensitive area. In all this time his balance would remain strong, at a good shoulder width apart, and his shoulders rolled forward to protect his precious neck. His under neck would remain out of reach, with how close he hoped to be to her leg and reaching, there wouldn't be a way for her to sink her teeth under. His fur would remain on end, his muscles tight and ready for whatever she had for him. Arcus v Esti Round 2 of 2 For Spar |

Notes:
Tips for writing and some suggestions. (no points are deducted here): For both: You both lost the most points in clarity and because of that this fight was a little difficult to read. Try to explain everything your character is doing or attempting clearly and as simply as possible. By over complicating explanations or neglecting to explain important details you run the risk of confusing your opponent and muddying the round, which could, in turn, mess up the next round and lead to low scores. - By [Lazuli]
