Resting by the Riverbanks

Coulter's bad paw had been aching for a while, so he decided to lay before down somewhere nearby. A river bounded around through green, crisp blades of grass. It actually felt good to walk here. A sigh escaped from his cream maw as he settled down in an especially plush patch of greenery.
"What a life it is, being able to rest here and watch a beautiful river run past."he murmured, enjoying his comfort.
He could see the fish swim by and wondered if he could manage to catch one.
Nah, maybe not. I don't feel like walking around just yet. he thought to himself.
It was so peaceful here. Maybe he should take a little nap. He began to nod off, slowly blinking wearily.

Drought was terrible thing. There was practically no water left in Lentajin. Everything had been abandoned as the life that lived there fled to find water. Herself included. The chocolate hued dame walked slowly, dehydration taking its effects on her. Her paws dragged, head hung low, salmon colored tongue lolled out of parted jaws. Everything seemed so hot. Even just a drop of water would be wonderful. Audits barely twitched at the sound of rushing water. Skull did lift ever so slightly. Steps became faster. And then she saw it. With her last burst of energy the dame shot forward, bounding up to her chest in the water, hungrily lapping up the refreshing liquid. She paid little attention to the wolf lay on the bank. He appeared to be dozing, and right now her only concern was water. Walk "Talk" Think |
