Stepping stones

The adolescent walked along the wall, looking down the steep drop, straddling the land between grass and snow. The wall was just thick enough for him to walk, and had a fall that was entirely too short to cause him injury if he fell, making it the ideal adventure for the young wolf. He would daydream, imagining he was climbing a great cliff and looking down at the world from a plateau. very often he imagined he was a bird, soaring over the world and feeling the wind through his feathers. He didn't have a care in the world his family was reunited and were slowly returning to a sense of normalcy. All of them except for Neo, his biological brother.
