She had heard about everything. The kidnapping, the fight, and the change that happened in her queen. She had fled when she heard about Sibelle being pregnant, about the love that had grown between her and Crucifix. She was afraid, and she felt hurt and pushed aside. She had felt like she didn't matter to Sibelle any more, and she didn't want to get in the way of her new life. Ekko wasn't one for love and pups, she had made that pretty clear to Sibelle. But it was unfair of her to try and make her pick between the two, so she left. It would be easier for both of them, or so she thought. The woman was growing old, and being alone was no longer something that she desired. Sibelle was the only one who had opened her arms up to her in a long time, and once again she had fled from the only thing that mattered to her. Why? Because it scared her. Every time she loved something it was taken away from her, and she didn't want to watch that happen with the russet woman. But now she was unable to keep herself away, her soul longed for the company of another wolf. The only one she knew was her, so here she was, crawling back into the borders.

The smell of Solstice was still on her rusted coat, she hadn't strayed too far away from the pack. If Sibelle had called for her she would have come, but the call never came. She couldn't be too crestfallen, it was her that had left after all. Fear swirled in her stomach as she slunk low to the ground, a soft howl leaving her black lips. She did not call for the woman, for a slave never called for their master. She was simply making herself known, letting the woman know that if she was ready to take her back, that she was here waiting for her. Pale blue eyes cast themselves on the earth, ears pinned flat against her skull as her shorter tail tucked under her. Would she be met with anger, or sadness? The woman had no way of knowing, and only time could tell if Sibelle even wanted her back.

The call that rang out for her was not one she ever expected to hear again. She had not forced her friend to stay when she fled, nor had she forced her to return. But a smile would lift her lips as she headed towards the woman, anxious to see her again. It didn't take long to find her huddle form amongst the trees, she still smelled of Solstice. "Ekko!" She would rush forward with a smile, bombarding the woman with affection even as she cowered. Her tail would wag furiously, happy to see that her companion was still well and uninjured. "I've missed you." She would mumble happily into the woman's fur, burying her face in her neck. It had been so long since she had the woman's company, she missed her quiet presence and the occasion fiery temper she showed. She didn't know if Ekko knew of everything that had happened, her lost eye, her kidnapping, the children, or more recently, her explosive fight with Cru. But it was all temporarily set aside for the return of her companion, and she couldn't be happier.
