Slowly -- yet surely -- the girl had been piecing herself back together. And it had been such a long time she had visited with her sisters, especially Motif. It seemed like forever since they had last had their playful banter. Maybe that could drag her from her glums. With a newfound spring in her step, Harmony would bound across a safer part of the rapids, not slipping once, and emerging on the other side, headed in the direction of her sister's den. When the area came to view, she took note of the rising sun, and the sparkling dew, as well as drying yellow grasses. She took a deep breath, and let out her best opera voice, her head poking into the den. "Mooooootiffffffffff!" Her voice was still hushed and respectful, to not startle her sister. Eagerly, she awaited response.

Considering her current... Condition, motif wasn't doing much socializing these days. She knew it was selfish, that she aught to be doing what she could to help bass and Abaven and it wasn't like she would actually be out of commission for a while yet. Besides, Bass really did need all the help he could get right now with the baby bloom rippling through their pack. Honestly, it was disgusting, you would think that it was spring instead of the autumn, pre-winter season it really was. These sex-crazed wolves, or optimistic family makers where honestly making life difficult for everyone else in Abaven. It wasn't like things where easy at the moment, they had just been hit by a storm and put had a lot of effort into healing and repairing, food was an issue as it was without all the added hungry mouths on their way and the large number of parents that would be incapable of pack duties well carrying their miniature hell-spawns.

Okay, so she was being unfair and to anyone else's eyes a total hypocrite too, the thing was she was probably the only one of the mothers that hated every moment of her condition and dreaded the arrival of the life changing being she was carrying. She couldn't exactly say she was doing this on her own, not when she had Rhythm and Bass along side her, but she was the single parent and a very unhappy one at that. She was content to spend the rest of the day locked away in self absorbed misery but it would seem her mocha coated sibling has other ideas. She wanted to think mean things about Harmony, she was grumpy and felt sluggish but she knew that she couldn't trust her thoughts these days, they where too sour and utterly unlike her usual self. Oh well, harmony was asking for her company, if she didn't know what she was in for already she would soon find out. Thank god, and to the luck of all Abaven wolves she still had a long way to go before she reached the waddling stage of her condition, all the same she didn't hold the same lithe grace and utter at ease of her usual movements, she was always so flowing and free with her movements but she still couldn't feel right in her own skin. So, with jerky and heavy movements she would peek her head out of her chosen den and peer into the eyes of her sister, waiting for an explanation.

Hm, since the last time the little tempest had seen her sister crawl out of the recesses of her den, she had been a lot... skinnier. And she smelled different. The mismatched gaze of the girl tipped to the right side her, banner slashing the air in curiousity. Nostrils flared, as nares rolled, appendages stretching to approach her sister. Finally, she came to the conclusion of something.

Motif had eaten an entire fawn! And didn't even share! She had to have been hungry!

Mismatched gaze of the girl would playfully ignite, as her sister's ochre gaze bore into hers. "Oh Motif, what have you been up to?" Not yet, would she tell her sister her hypothesis. Recently, optimism had improved the girl's activity, and she felt more involved in the pack, but beyond Abaven? Not yet. Maybe someday she could visit Sawtooth and see her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews. She had yet to hear what horrors had happened lately in the lands.
