He was starting to get a little on edge since the meeting. Was he one of those wolves? Did he change? He didn't know or couldn't remember. But he certainly wasn't going to back down and walk away. He was better than that. He would move around the thought of war and killing, something he never remembered think of.

But he felt like he needed to talk to Cat. They hadn't spoke since she let him in, and sooner or later they had to. But he knew it wouldn't be pleasant. He could handle it though, whatever she wanted to put him through. He let out a strong, but not demanding call for her, being his new leader. He didn't want to seem like he was wrapped around her finger, but he definitely wasn't over her.

His call rang out, pulling her towards him. It was a small surprise that he was actively seeking her out, but at the same time, she knew that they couldn't avoid each other forever. Silver stilts would pull her across the plains until she found the spotted boy. Her coral gaze rested blankly on his face. "Do you need something?" Despite her cold tones, silver audits tipped forward, ready to catch anything that left his lips. Her posture was relaxed, completely at ease despite the fact that her daughters face flashed painfully in her mind. She stood tall and silent, watching him closely, waiting for him to speak. He had called her here for a reason, and she wanted to know why.

Cat would be quick to his call, but her demeanor more than cold, brutal even. But in a way, he felt more comfortable with her being here. She seemed in no way to attack, and seemed almost interested in why he called. But he was sure that she wouldn't be too fond of why he was. Just a waste of her time probably. Because he would just jabber.

"Cat...? Could we just... Talk?"

Though he mentioned in his voice almost of Zaria, and that was mostly his intention, he didn't want to push her if anything, or in any wrong way. His cheek tilted toward her, where the hair was just growing back onto his old wounds.

"At all?"

His question held thousands of possibilities. He wanted to talk. With a soft sigh she would sit, silver haunches folding beneath her as she settled in. Her coral gaze would drop for a moment, gathering her thoughts and carefully steeling herself for a conversation that was bound to open old wounds. When she looked back up, she would force her gaze to soften, her expression to lose some of its edge. He had been in love with her daughter, and she had been ripped from this world far too soon. He hadn't even been there to say goodbye. "What do you want to talk about?" Silver audits tipped forward, as she watched his face, watched for any clues as to what he might talk about. Her tail would curl around her hips to cover her paws as she gave him her undivided attention. She had been hard on him when he first arrived, perhaps too hard. He had only joined her pack to be with Zaria, she knew deep down, that he was not cut out for this life. But he held a piece of her daughter that she could never touch, and for that, she would listen.

His ears perked towards her as she sat down and readied herself for his questions. But in her process, his ears pulled back with sadness trying to understand what she was really readying for...

He just needed to know. And after he learned his truth... it didn't have to be so harsh anymore. Even if the truth was that Zaria had died... he believed that he could move on and make a life here. He  could handle that at least... at least he thought.

"About... You know..."

He wasn't quite sure how to ask... or speak... or move... It was definitely awkward, but it was much more than that. He spoke one more time, a little nervous about how focused she was on him. She had calmed herself, let her sharp gaze let loose for a moment. And after he spoke, his ears would come back up to face her, it was the question he was dying to have a true answer for...

"Is it true...?"

Words would slip from her lips, pointing at the elephant in the room without actually doing so. More silence would stretch on between them before he spoke again. He questioned the truth. Her eyes would narrow for a moment, a hint of a frown pulling her lips downward. "Yes it's true." She would confirm, her voice carefully neutral. "She's buried in the forest where I first founded Arcanum." What proof did he need? She had buried her own daughter in the forest, Kylar could confirm it, not that she needed this boys faith or anything. Her coral gaze rested on him, unwavering. She knew that Caeto had been absent for the entire time Zaria had been ill, as well as her death, but the boy had never meant anything to her, he had been important only to Zaria. But now he sat before her, wanting confirmation about Zaria's death. And for what? So he could move on with his life? So he could stop waiting for Zaria to pop out the shadows and be like 'Im back!'?

Just hearing the words from Cat's mouth was enough. He didn't need any other proof... This was much too serious of a problem to be playing a joke on him. Zaria wasn't in Arcanum, and Cat had confirmed that she was dead.

His eyes moved down and away from her, not sure what to say. To him, this wasn't as awkward as he thought it could be, and though he was ready for her to lash out at him in rage, he wasn't scared. Cataleya deserved to do whatever she wanted with Caeto, he understood that. Or at least would allow it. Caeto had broken her daughter heart in more then one way, and he probably hurt her too.

"If you ever want to go back... I'll go with you."

Eyes met with her again almost shyly. He wasn't sure if she wanted to dare go back to her grave, or even be there with him. But he was offering, even if she refused, it was still an eternal offer. He would always go to Zaria's grave with her mother.
