She had taken residence here. As soon as the summer rains drowned out the sandbar that led here, Misty took the chance to get as far away from The Range as possible. It hurt to even be on the same continent. She hadn't found her father or her brother, it was almost like the two had vanished. Well Segar really did, he was dead. But Misty would only hope that the two had done just as her and her mother and sister did. Ran off to the next continent. Of course hat's what she was doing here, but she wasn't on this southern continent because she thought they came here.

She hadn't met any of the natives that lived here. She was unaware of anyone living down here. Though she did have her own den hidden in the trees and went out during the day most of the time. Hunting, drinking, fresh air; she couldn't stand to stay in the den long.

She was pretty lonely, but is wasn't anything she wasn't used to. Even when Ghost was with her, it was like she was... well a Ghost. She was detached from this world, and Misty couldn't do anything about that. And after she died, there wasn't anyone. Normally someone would say "there wasn't a change because she wasn't there anyway," but really, there was no one.

She finally came home to a fallen kingdom and their old den in shambles. But she had found Tahlia. That was the closest she had gotten to family. But Tahlia had her own family now; Misty didn't want to hold her down by sticking around.

Did she do this to herself? Was she alone because she chose to?

These thoughts only vaguely held in her mind as she looked up at the fruit in the trees, the winter front should be coming soon. She could feel the chill in her bone.

Talon strongly preferred the southern continent to the more northern, familiar one. These lands appealed to him in far more ways than just one. Here, he was away from all of the creatures he had encountered thus far in life -- away from the Armada family, whose cruel patriarch he remembered all too well; away from the wolves of the pack that had rallies for war soon after he and Kangi had decided to join them. The wolves that lived so far south were strangers to him, intriguing with their stranger manner of speaking and the gentle aura that most of them seemed to have about them.

This was no more than another adventure, and one that he was thrilled to be embarking on with Kangi at his side. Today, though, she was sleeping still, curled tightly beneath an overturned tree trunk that they had claimed as their temporary shelter. His paws stepped quietly as he moved through the grove, remembering his encounter with the two natives just recently and knowing he could easily be found again -- and who knew if all of the wolves native to this region were as docile as the ones he'd met?

He took care to remain silent as he went, dodging the bushes of wild berries that seemed to overrun the grove. The land here seemed so much less traveled and more exotic. A slight smile painted his features as he trekked onward, nose twitching as a strange scent reached his nostrils.

It was familiar, and he felt a pang of nostalgia tighten in his chest, though it was foreign at the same time. Curiosity overtook him and he began to trail after the aroma, halting a long distance before he saw the source of the scent. "H-hello?" Talon would call warily into the distance, his voice timid. These lands still had an aura of mystery about them and he felt suddenly nervous at what he might find here.

She eyed the trees, eventually pulling her chin down and closing her eyes before setting off. But a voice would almost cowered in the distance.

You think she would have recognized the voice, the scent. But it had been so long since she heard her brother speak, his voice had to have changed. And the same as scent, when was the last time she smelled something other than Ghost? But none-the-less, she would eye the stranger and start to walk toward them.

She walked only a little slowly, keeping a grin on her features so that she wouldn't startle them. But as she came close her emerald optics would eye the light markings around the man's eyes and only look into them when she came only a few feet away, jaw dropped.

Her lip quivered, she wasn't sure if he recognized her, and though she would normally doubt it was really him, she was positive by the look in his eye. She stood in awe for a moment, and then collapsed.

"Talon?"

Her nose was into the ground and optics shut tight as she tried to hold in the tears that always fell. Was she just hiding how she really felt all this time? That Segar and her brother weren't just off travelling in a whole nother world? Because only one thing came to mind.

"I thought you were dead."

Words stung through her throat as she spoke quietly. Would he even hear her? Through her cries and pain? She didn't even know how he would react. Maybe he'd be mad, confused. Maybe join her in her pity party. But she wasn't quite sure hhow to react anymore either.

He would continue to trail after the scent that had suddenly overwhelmed him, drawn toward it as though he was being pulled by an some kind of invisible force. It only took a moment for his gaze to find his sister and settle on her, his pace slackening until he came to a halt. It was then that everything changed. He had spent so long trying to be okay, pushing all thoughts of his mother and his sisters out of his head -- and here was Misty, standing right before him. A whimper left his lips, his chest sinking, the weight of her sudden arrival heavy on his chest. He felt very much like he was being crushed right there under the weight of the realization that she wasn't dead, that he had to face her and he had to remember that he'd been utterly abandoned as a child.

"Hi.... Misty..."   the man's voice quivered. Though he was now two years old, even his voice had not taken on the characteristic deepness that usually accompanied adulthood. His voice quivered as he dared take a few small steps forward. "Mom left me... alone..." The words came in a painful gasp, the tightness in his chest only worsening as he felt tears welling in his eyes. He'd been scared and confused and his abandonment had shaped him into who he was now; and his entire world was suddenly shaken by Misty's return. Another whimper fell from his lips as he gazed at her, confused as to how he ought to feel, only feeling raw pain as the tears began to roll down his chest.

Her chin moved to flatten on the ground, her head may have touched the inside of his leg as she dug at the dirt a little. Her clouded eyes looked at his three paws, not remembering he only had three legs until now. But her vision was distracted by a run of a couple droplets hitting the floor in front of her. She followed them down like it was all in slow motion, and her emerald eyes stayed down when she heard his broken voice after.

But his main concern: that mom had left him.

"I know, I'm sorry!" She tried to shout but her voice cracked more than shouted. "Mom wasn't... right!" Obviously the woman wasn't sound at all.  She tried to attack Misty before she...

What... Anyone in the right would leave their children behind? Would turn on their own blood? Would believe that the love of their life had abandoned them?

Segar really had... But Ghost immediately took the assumption that he left. There was no time involved. Just like Isis, and Talon. There was never any time left to keep them by her side. If only Misty knew, she wouldn't have left either of them. She would have convinced Isis to stay too.

But there was never tearing those wheels back.
