Still shaking with fury over the news of Akemi's ill fate, Baldur was on the prowl. He had little to go on but he was determined to find his sisters assailant and desecrate the wretch. Part of him wanted to visit Akemi, to get more details but how could he? He hadn't been there to protect her. True he'd been kidnapped, there wasn't much he couldn've done but she didn't know that and he feared she'd view him with nothing but hatred. No, he had to make this right he needed to maul the rapist freak and bring a piece back to Akemi as proof that he was still worthy to be her brother.

Freedom from Apollyon, from the red-coated brat who had sought to tarnish him by trying to - so to speak - get in his pants, had been a blessed relief. Unsurprisingly the child hadn't lasted long as an alpha, taking ill and wandering off somewhere probably to die. It hadn't taken long after her disappearance for him to conclude she wasn't coming back and there was no point in sticking around any longer. Since then he'd been wandering. Simply going aimlessly, nearly purposelessly. He hadn't seen any of his family since he'd found Akemi mangled on that island, and he wondered idly if she was still there, or if she'd found the courage to get up and move along. He was angry still, furious at the beast who had broken her and yet... he was so disappointed in her. To lose was one thing, to break... That was not the Akemi he'd known. Baldur was lost in thought, his piercing blue eyes turning skyward. If there really were gods up there he really wished they would send him some sort of sign, hell anything would be appreciated at this point! He just needed a direction. Perhaps he'd find something at the battlefield? A low life rapist would couldn't even seduce a pebble was likely to be crawling around such a place looking for victims. His tail twitched at a purring voice and Baldur whirled around with a growl that caught suddenly in his throat. "Skoll?!" His eyes widened only to be replaced with a disgruntled look. Amusement froze into disbelief. Not because Baldur had reacted so... nonchalantly to his assumed haunting, but the words that his elder brother spoke. "No, Baldur, you are mistaken," he choked out in a strangled tone. "Akemi wasn't raped, she was mutilated. I saw her myself not that long ago. She still stunk like him after all that time - it was faint but I am certain I would have smelled if..." The horrible, horrible thought occurred to him that him leaving Akemi alone on that island with only their incompetent half brother to protect her may have been what led to this. What this... guilt? No... he was not to blame for this. It was the man who had mauled her, he was certain of it. Akemi was no victim no matter her behavior when they'd last met; she wouldn't have been caught in the same way by another man. She'd have had to have been overpowered by the same giant who had maimed her. Blue eyes narrowed into sparks as he glared at Baldur, waiting for the muttering to resolve into an explanation. If it wasn't forthcoming he would see to this himself. His own way. ""

Baldur stared back at Skoll with just about as much shock. What did he mean he'd seen her recently? The young male flinched visibly. He didn't want to hear this, he didn't want to hear how she'd been wronged. He knew in his heart there was nothing they could do to that monster to make him understand the pain he'd caused but they should at least be able to get their own amusement at his expense before ending him.


Something clicked and Baldur turned to face Skoll, not caring if he was a ghost. If he had the mans sent he could track him! "No Skoll? Skadi visited with her recently. She's even pregnant. That fucker defiled our little sister. If you have his scent then track him for me! My only other thought is to scout out the battlefield. That is surely where that rat is hunting." A snarl burst from his lips. "I don't intend to let that bastard wander free. Are you in, Skoll? Will you help me?"
