It had finally happened, Motif had become the size of a mountain. The cosy fit into her own den was no longer a possibility for the heaving sides of the monstrosity. She must be filled to the brim with puppies, it must have been a litter and ten with the way she felt. She didn't want to move, moving hurt and her balance was a comedy. Lying down hurt too, nothing she did sat right with her belly, on her back and she could feel the whole weight of that litter pushing down on her, lying on her stomach was of course out of the question. There was only so many ways she could lie on her side.. right, or left.

Her sides felt sore with the extra weight that pushed her into the dirt. She felt horrible and tired all the time, her entire body was rebelling against her and it was all she could do to groan and lift her head and feel the weight of the monstrosity that centered somewhere beneath her chest. Poor Rhythm lost all control of her den as Motif and her emense weight took it over. She could get in through Rhythm's door which was more then she could say about her own home, and now that she was in there she had a strong feeling she would not be getting out again until. Yes, Rhythm had lost control of her home. Motif cackled in gleeful delight at her swift thift of what had been a momentarily abadnonded den. Rhythm was off adding a few more adventures under her belt and well Motif wouldnt begrudge her the much needed experience, she would also be learning a new lesson about leaving her possesions unguarded where a Mountain Wolf might creep in and steal the space. If 'creeping' is what one might call the swaying and groaning and dragging a heavily pregnangt canine did to heave her bulk into the space. She curled up and hope Rhythm this day or the next, no one else had made an effort to feed her and she knew she was suffering for it.

Dark paws would carry the girl daintily through Abaven territory, she'd only just returned to the lands and was very much eager to see her sister. Surely she was due any day now, and Rhythm knew she needed to be with her littermate now. On the way she'd had the forethought to grab her sister a quick rabbit, knowing by now she had to surely have been getting tired of the fluffy creatures. Not that she'd take 'no' for an answer anyway, Motif needed to eat and she had a inkling that not many members had been keeping up with her eating schedule like she had.

Nimble paws would carry her expertly to her den, not realizing that her sister had completely taken it over. She was not tempted to go to Motif's den however, knowing that she would be in the den that she'd claimed. Her mouth was full of rabbit as she made her way to the hole in the ground, her form slipping into the entrance before realizing that was all the farther she was going to go. mmph! a noise would leave her lips as she was suddenly stopped. She'd drop the carcass before her sibling, "Well, hello Mo." A giggle would follow as she leaned in to nuzzle her sister's features.

The girl curled her head over her paws as she attempted to shuffle her weight and lie angled on her side. She heaved a sigh before closing her eyes and waiting the day away to rest and more of nothing, like the days before it had seemed to contain. Bass was so occupied with his own mate that she barely saw the boy anymore. It was hard not to feel a touch of resentment there, after all they had been the closest of all their siblings once, and she felt like he would barely even know she was still breathing at this stage. It was Rhythm that helped her push aside those worries, or rather the thought of her. They had started to regain their friendship, to become close again before the pregnancy. All that was lost now of course, they where unseperable best friends, these sisters. They where no longer trying to reform a relationship, it was like there had never been any time between. The unknown hours they had spent beside eachother had mutiplied in her head to stretch out across the times they had been apart, when Motif had first become a part of Abaven until Rhythm herself had joined.

Somewhere amungst the thoughts of her sweet sister she would at last find sleep and drift off into sweet oblivion. She had no idea how much time passed before she was awoken to something pushing against her and an 'mmph!' escaping the lips of her sister. Stretching her own muzzle wide open in a yawn and flashing silver teeth she would shake her head to clear it and look up at the familer form of her sister. “Rhy” she replied softly, leaning into the muzzle before her eyes cought sought of the rabbit. She licked her lips and her stomach gave her away.

She had obviously disturbed the sleeping woman as her form found its way to her side. Motif found her way into wakefulness more easily than she'd have anticipated. Such would increase the smile that tugged on her lips as Motif brought her focus on her first and then easily would slide to the gift she'd brought. Normally Motif would reject the thought of charity she knew, but as her stomach gave way to the growl Rhythm wouldn't let her get away with 'sharing' a meal this time.

She'd lean her head down to nudge the meal in Motif's direction, meaning it as a gift obviously. "I've brought you and the babies a meal. It sounds like you haven't seen many of those the last few days." Her ears would fall to her head ashamedly, she felt bad for going out galavanting while Motif was here suffering through the long pregnancy. "Sorry I've been gone so long." She'd nudge her sister one last time before leaving her to her meal.

It was good to see Rhythm again, and she had no doubt she would be keeping her sister up tonight with questions, and hoped was in the mood to give her the stories of her adventures. Her sharp sister would, of course, catch the glance she gave towards the rabbit and would immediately nudge it towards the queen. She would sigh softly through her lips before catching Rhythm's words. With that the girl would lift her head to stick her tongue out at the other, it was clear her meaning meant that this was not Rhythm's fault.

However, for once she would not complain about the food provided and would instead dig in to the offering with a joy. There would be nothing but remains in moments and the girl would lick her lips, letting out an accidental burp as the meal hit her stomach in a satisfying way. She gave Rhythm a sheepish expression before shuffling about to give room for her sister to cuddle in beside her. The other girl would not be able to escape Motif's attentions tonight, she had missed her sister too much.

She wouldn't have to put much effort into convincing Motif to eat the food that she'd brought for her. Though Motif would make sure to dissipate any regret Rhythm might have had she still would feel a bit of regret at leaving her needy sister. Not that she could ever say that out loud of course, she'd just try to shrug off the thoughts as Motif tucked in to her meal quickly. Rhythm didn't have to wait long for her sister to finish, the much needed nourishment would fill her stomach faster than Rhythm had ever seen a wolf.. wolf down their food.

She'd smile at the burp that Motif would release, the satisfaction very much evident, this would cause a giggle to filter through her lips as she snuggled into Motif's side. Very much feeling the disgruntled babies through the wall of her sister's stomach. A soft 'oh' would leave her lips as she felt a wave of tears threaten to slip past her eyes. However, she knew she was stronger than that and would keep the negative emotions hid from her sister while the obvious wonder would show through. While Lyric had been rather specific in her teaching Rhythm had never experienced a pregnancy so close. "They're so big.." She'd observe softly as she nudged at the protrusions that would kick at Motif's belly.

Her sister would giggle in response to her actions and the queen would throw a grin her way. She truly had missed her dark almost-twin and had worried a little about her out in the outside world. She had listened every night and well sometimes she heard the song of wolves touch the air she not once heard any from Rhythm crying out for aid. Pregnant or not, she knew she would charged towards that sound like an angered rhino, ready to mutilate any who darned harm her sweet sister. Her worrying was of course for naught as Rhythm returned to her whole and undamaged – had it been any other way, revenge would have been eminent, of course.

The sisters curled up together, and Motif could easily feel the shifting of Rhythm as she shuffled against her to get comfortable. She would be startled when a soft word slipped through her sisters lips, and she would turn to peer at the other girl. Rhythm would simply comment on the size and Motif would laugh softly, the sound falling quit as her expression became sad, perhaps... even a touch wistful. “They are, I have a feeling there getting that from Shai ” she slipped a little on his name and found herself returning her head to her paws, an action made to hide the fact that she was turning her gaze from Rhythm. [b] “Did I tell you he was a giant?” and perhaps Rhythm could hear the upward quirk of her lips in her tone as she spoke this, finding dry humour in the predicament she found herself in.

She'd tear her blue and purple stare from her sister's moving belly, smiling slightly at the stare she was being given. Rhythm had a bad habit of reminding her sister of the impending birth it seemed, but it wasn't a topic she could easily avoid. She would still do her best to avoid an attachment to the tiny paws that pushed so readily against Motif's stomach. She couldn't miss the emotion she saw in her sister's eyes either. What was she thinking as the name of the father would slip from her mouth? Rhythm would nuzzle into her sister's fur, trying to be a comfort to her. She'd mention him being a giant and her own encounter would bring about memories within her head. She'd not mentioned Valentine to her sister yet.

This seemed to be a perfect distraction from the man who had left her in such a state, even still she wondered if there was more than just an impulsive night that Motif had left behind. "I think you've mentioned it." She'd smile, pushing away thoughts of Motif's woes. "Did I tell you about the giant I met?" That wasn't even the best part of the story, surely Motif would be proud of her antics towards their protective brother.

She took a breath to steady herself and find the strength to push thoughts of Shai from her mind. He was still a stranger to her, and she had to push away the potential for them she had seen shimmering the foreground of her thoughts during her encounter. She had not succumbed to that desire – only another, more imminent one at the time. Then, she had left him and their time together was already just a memory. She couldn't afford to linger on the what-if's, when she made her decision and knew she could not change it. She had chosen Abaven, had chosen Bass and Rhythm, this world and its people that she loved. Yet, as the pregnancy got closer she couldn't help but think further on him and worry and of course... desire.

Lost in her own world she had stepped out of reality and almost missed the words that fell, subtlety yet unmistakably from her sisters lips. The there was a pause before Motif returned to the world, her gaze flicking to Rhythm with speed and eyebrows would raise in surprise. “Oh, I see.. so you've gone and gotten yourself a giant, too?” she asked teasingly, hiding the pang of jealousy and longing that bit into her emotions, with an impatient swish of her thoughts.

Not all of Motif's rampant emotions would be lost on her sister, though Rhythm couldn't read her mind and would never know the extent of her feeling of loss. Though if she focused on the young within her sister's belly she might have experienced the same feelings. Motif was strong though, she could get through anything. Though neither woman would linger on those sad thoughts for long as Rhythm would utter her confession. Motif would be solidly silent for almost too long, Rhythm didn't want to repeat them and was almost regretful she'd uttered them as the pregnant queen would reply. She would hear the teasing tone, but there was something else in Motif's gaze that didn't sit quite right. Rhythm would ignore it, but would further explain herself. "We didn't do.. that." she'd mention first, making it clear that their minds had not even played with the thought of sex. Rhythm had not been actively seeking out that encounter in the least. "His name is Valentine, and he led me through the old crypts that are just south of here." That was their first adventure, she knew she'd never forget that terrible trick he'd played on her. Nor would she forget the trick they'd played on Bass. "He was at the gathering too, you might have to ask Bass about what happened." She'd giggle (leaving this vague cause that moment has not been played out fully yet), thoughts obviously amused at the encounter. She'd grow silent again to allow her sister to ask any curiousities she'd have.

Jokingly accusing eyes would settle on her sister as she stared the other woman down and waited for a reply. She wouldnt be able to help the soft laugh that escaped her when Rhythm did reply. “I didn't mean it like that” she pointed out, more gently now – she knew what this pregnancy had done to Rhythm and her feelings of childbirth. The playing would leave her face at Rhythms next words, she dismissed the name of the wolf – it was not familier to her, but lead her through cyrpts? that sounded dodgy in any frame of speech. Her teeth gritted together at the thought of a giant male leading Rhythm down into the maze, of getting her lost and.. Motif calmed herself with an effort, it was clear that no harm had come to her sweet sister.

Nect Rhythm would mention the gathering, and Motif would look at her sister enquizically, wondering what had happened there – although it was easy to rile Bass up with his sisters and random males where envolved – she could guess at the joke. 'Sounds like you are finding yourself some adventures” she told Rhythm gently, it was beautiful to see her opening up to others.

Motif would burst out a laugh as Rhythm instantly became defensive about their actions, but would go on to mention that she hadn't meant it quite like that. Thankfully they'd find themselves on the same page, though maybe not about the decision in the first place. Rhythm hadn't found herself in any danger, and obviously returned home safely to her sister. Rhythm would find herself smiling as her sister praised the adventures she was having, and she could honestly say she had enjoyed herself. Being out in the world on her own had been exhilarating. She'd seen so much of the lands, she felt much more comfortable in her home. She'd nuzzle her sister, "They were enjoyable, but nothing compared to how much I missed you!" Though she was still debating if she wanted to tell her about the venture she'd made south.
