Leo couldn't say winter was his favorite season. He did not enjoy the cold, having snow clinging to his russet coat, his paws being frozen and wet constantly. Those were things he could happily do without. But, as he looked out over the glittering, frozen landscape he could admit that it was an awfully pretty sight. Not as pretty as a gorgeous fea of course, but still pretty to look at all the same. He had found himself a perch on top of a fallen log that he had brushed most of the snow off of and now laid on his stomach with his head on his paws on top of it. The cold breeze ruffled his vibrant coat, but his fur had finally thickened up to its full winter weight so it didn't bother him too badly. Sapphire eyes rested lazily on the sight of the frozen lake, his pale white ear turned back behind him to listen for anyone approaching. Not that he was concerned about anyone bothering or threatening him. Actually, it was quite the opposite. He wasn't one to enjoy being alone for very long and it had certainly been far too long since he had enjoyed a girl's company. Everyone he had been around since Venus had been family. Not that he didn't enjoy his family's company, he loved them all dearly, but it wasn't quite the company he was looking to keep right now.

He sighed and lifted his head, pulling himself up into a sitting position on his haunches, shaking out his fur and getting rid of a few snow flakes that had fallen onto his back. He was ready for it to be spring again, for everything to melt and for warmth to return to the lands. He glanced around, silently wondering if maybe he could find a den to use around here for the night, when a stranger's scent suddenly caught his attention. His ears perked up with interest and he lifted his gaze to see if he could find its source. It was all too clear to him that this scent belonged to a fea, one that was in heat if he wasn't mistaken. Very interesting. He wouldn't call out to her, instead waiting patiently to see if she would show herself, a small, interested smile resting on his muzzle.

Pandora had been alone for a week or two. Fendar had been with her before then, ensuring her safety with her new home and making sure no "dragons" would appear at her doorstep. When everything had been considered safe in his eyes, he hesitantly left to return to Ebony. Duties of his pack fell upon his shoulders and with a look of regret in his gaze, he returned to his home. Even now, Pandora missed his presence, but she didn't know why. At first, she considered that she may have liked him for how he treated her. Then, she thought about it could have been because of him being a male. Oh well, what could she do about it now? He was gone and she was still silently confused...

One morning, she rose after the sun had reached the sky, providing warmth to the entrance of her den. A warm breeze reached her nose, making her wake up and immediately assume that the cursed season had gone. Instead, when she looked outside her home, she saw the snow and disappointment hit her. The scent of her heat struck her nose next and a sigh slipped from her lips. When would her fire be doused? Such aggravation was not worth the bad mood.

She rose to all fours and stretched before stepping outside her cave. Turquoise eyes twinkled with the morning light as she looked across the scenery that greeted her. The lake's ice made her temporarily blind, but she blinked a few times and the brightness left. Her tail wagged behind her as she took in her surroundings, hoping that today would be a good day to live. As her nose wiggled in the crisp air, she caught an unfamiliar scent. Of course...she rolled her eyes and looked out to the lake's edge. Another male had found his way to her current living area. Rather than try and remain hidden in her home, she left the den and walked through the woods. From where she stood, he was a good-looking male...but what was he like? She would find out in due time, as she made her appearance through the last line of trees. The sun hit her just right and all of her physical blessings were debuted.

My my. Alacritis so far had not failed to prove that every fea that resided within its borders was gorgeous. When she stepped out into the sunlight the gold markings that traced over her form glittered and he blinked with pleasant surprise. Her colors were opposite the color wheel from his vibrant russet and white. It wasn't just her intricate markings and sparkling light-blue eyes that made her eye catching even though those alone were enough. Leo's deep sapphire gaze was pulled in by the air of confidence that surrounded her. An air that told him she knew exactly how beautiful she was. If he had to guess she had probably grown up hearing it, being chased after by every brute around. He smirked a little to himself. Well, maybe he could be a palate cleanser for her.

Part of him wanted to get up and pad over to her, fawn over her, the usual song and dance. Instead he flashed her a friendly smile and a small nod before turning his blue eyes back toward the lake that he had been gazing at for a while now. He rose to his paws and hopped down from the log he had been resting on, shaking out his thick coat so that it laid neatly against his body once more. He may not have breath taking gold markings in his corner, but had never thought that his looks were anything to sneeze at. Russet, nearly red coat, just enough white to break up the monotony of it, and eyes the color of deep blue gems. He had no idea of knowing what her type was, but it wouldn't hurt his feelings if he wasn't it. He looked back toward her, flashing another smile. "How are you today?" he called, wondering if she'd like to make conversation.

She watched with a mixture of fascination and amusement as he gave her a polite nod before looking out at the lake. An eyebrow rose in a questioning manner, mentally challenging his actions. What was his game and what did he intend to do next? The second half of her question was answered when he shook himself all over, showing off the markings that he himself had been blessed with. From her point of view across the pond, she thought he wasn't bad looking and his pelt color was an eye catcher. What really caught her attention was his gaze. Sapphires drilled into his face, but what they held, she did not know.

When he greeted her from where he stood, she took a step back or two because of the volume. Part of her wanted to retreat to her den and forget that she had ever seen him. The other part, however, was more boisterous and reckless, intending to prove that she wasn't scared of a new stranger in her unofficial "home". Her dominant part took over and she gave a smirk before calling back. "Wonderful, despite the chill!" She exclaimed, Romanian accent deaf upon any ears that heard her speak. Usually, her mother's descended gift could only be appreciated in soft tones.

She pulled herself from the forest, paws daintily walking through the snow that was scattered around the lake. Instead of walking towards him, however, she decided to walk the opposite way and take the scenic route. Her tail idly flicked behind her as she silently walked, wondering if he would play along with her morning game. "What brings you to this part of the world?" She called, all the while remaining on guard for his possible antics.
