Well, it seemed her newfound energy was boundless - it wasn't a problem hunting for the pack as per her lost bet but it was tedious, incredibly so, and Cascade was sooo done with it already. Maybe if they ate something bigger than a hare or a duck these fatties wouldn't need to eat so often. It was with that in mind that Cascade had been staking out the parts of the knolls that still attracted larger prey this far into winter, and to her delight she'd found a small group of mule deer wintering in one of the valleys. There were some does small enough that she could probably take one down herself but it would be a chancy thing at best so while it wasn't strictly allowed by the terms of the bet, she was going to call in some reinforcements and take down one of the larger bucks. Moving far enough away to not alert the herd, the Saxe threw up her head and sang out for any members of the pack interested in participating in the hunt. ""

The thin boy would lay quietly in the shade of a rather bare tree, his bright eyes trained on the herd of deer before him. He was still, with his head held high over the dead grasses. He was debating himself if he should take one of the small does that mulled about, but as Cascade had found it wasn't quite worth it with only one wolf. Especially one that was barely a year old. Though he could take care of himself he was hardly experienced. The sound of the call would bring his attention away from them however, slowly he would back away he didn't want to disturb them too early. Carefully he'd make his way around them and to where the caller was located. He'd approach respectfully, head down as he watched her from his sun-lit stare. "I'm Revenge, ready to help with a hunt." He'd say simply, obviously not yet as eloquent as his father.

She pranced in after his brother, eyes rolling at his attempt to be normal. Bumping her shoulder against his she scoffed, nibbling on his scruff. "What's up Cascade?" She asked, purple gaze flickering to her form. So a hunt, eh? She didn't miss the scent of mule deer on the air, the winter was harsh and they couldn't turn down this opportunity. The thrill of the oncoming hunt rushed down her spine, her fur standing up slightly in her excitement. She was thankful that she could once again be useful, she had grown weary of sitting around waiting for something to happen. Training was fun -- but only when your mentor wasn't pregnant and hiding away her fat body. Huffing, she let her eyes roam, searching for other Imperium wolves. Hopefully they would get here soon, she was growing restless.

The only two to answer her call were a pair of yearlings - Mercy, and some kid who was either her brother or should be. Hmmmm well they were both big kids, but they were still just kids, barely old enough to be considered adults and not even old enough for sex. They could probably still take something big down but the kids probably didn't know enough yet to be helpful. Well damn. Hey maybe they could be useful, if she taught them some stuff. And if she made them useful maybe Valen would let her out of the rest of this bet. She gave the kids a wide grin. "Ok so school's in session! Since it's just us I'm going to teach you guys a few tricks. First thing's first - walking quiet, five second lesson. You big guys are going to have a harder time with this than I am so you're going to need to practice more. You guys sound like elephants right now, those deer are going to hear you coming from a mile away. Gotta do it like this - keep your joints loose instead of stiff, put your little toesies down gently like so before you put your weight down so you can feel the ground and make sure there's nothing there to rustle or crack or... you get the point. And make sure you only put your weight on your foot if you're absolutely sure. You kind of rock your weight forward and back as you go." Keeping her weight very lightly on her toes Cascade crept forward to demonstrate, slinking along low to the ground, before straightening to glance at them expectantly. "Well?" ""

He would get a rough greeting from his sister, but he'd easily keep his footing as she pushed against him. He'd return her playful nips to her chest as she addressed Cascade, his own eyes following back to their hunt leader. He watch the bright eyed woman grin widely as her words began, the hunt he had expected turning more into a lesson than anything. Would they still go after those elk? He'd refrain from laughing at her like he wanted to, finding it much harder to take her seriously than it should have. Still, she was the one with Valen's favor and he would be expected to obey her.

She'd demonstrate expertly, as she spoke he had pressed his paw into the earth, standing on his toes instead of the large pad between them. As she'd said he'd rock his weight forward as he slowly placed his next paw. A couple of steps would produce perfect results, but as he set down his back paws the snow would crunch obviously. He would need a good amount of practice it seemed.

Her brother nipped at her and she shot him a playful glare, he would pay for that later. Her focus was on Cascade as she started talking, giggling softly at her silly words. She rather liked this woman, she brought a bit of fun into everything. With careful purple gaze she watched her, standing on her own toes and shifted back and forth, rocking slightly as she took silent steps. She seemed to get it rather quickly, it was just like fighting. Kinda. Looking to her brother she saw him fall back to his paw pads, and shoved him again to try and knock him over. "You're just too fat for it, Revenge." She teased, sticking her salmon tongue out at him as she crept around her brother with quiet steps. She was ready for the hunt, but it would seem as Revenge wasn't. She nuzzled him lovingly, such a difference from her harsh teasing. Pulling on his ear softly and rested her flank against him, showing him with her muscles what to do. She was always better at actions, her brother better with thinking before acting. Rocking slowly, Mercy pressed up harder against him so that he could feel the coil and pull of her muscles, taking a few small steps as her flank brushed against his. He could do it, she knew it. Gazing up at him encouragingly, she pulled her head forward to tell him to try.
