He had no idea that she hadn't been using their den as of late and figured automatically that this ridiculous not sharing a den rule meant he'd be the one kicked out. I mean come on, even he wasn't enough of an arse to send the pregnant woman out into the cold to sleep though to be fair, that plan may have resulted in her giving in and joining him, just as she had walked so closely beside him all the way home. That had killed him if he was honest, wanting to touch her but knowing she wouldn't allow it. He'd intended on walking her to the den though as if she hadn't already made her point clear enough back at the Orchard she had left his side as they hit the range. He had spent some of the journey home wondering where he would sleep that night. Eventually assuming that Scorpion was still alone most nights, he had settled on going to try sleep there. It was large enough, he'd selected that space keeping in mind the number of kids he had it seemed and so they wouldn't be cramped even if Othello was present though that selfish part of him certainly hoped she wasn't. His paws was healing well, all thanks to Orchid's efforts. It seemed he might loose a toe, the one that had turned quite black and disgusting, but when compared to losing his life he was certain to take the trade. Within the next few days he was sure he'd be able to actually get up and start moving again, but for now he'd enjoy his drug induced state and the relaxing knowledge that he didn't have to do a thing for a few more days. A sigh would filter through his lips as he changed his position in the cave, wakefulness washing over him for a moment. He'd slept a lot the past few weeks, he'd really have to work hard on getting back into condition after this.

He'd feel the lack of Othello's presence again, and it seemed Orchid was on one of her trips back to Solstice, so he was quite alone that night. Though he missed the added warmth he couldn't deny the peace of solitude. Then he would hear his name. Sighing again he'd lift his head from his front paws, yellow eyes searching and finding his brother's curious face. He hadn't seen him in a minute. What did he need now? Surely he was busy caring for his pregnant woman. "I was, until you got here." He'd say, sleep evident in his voice but he was waking up. If his brother was in need he would get up.

Whether woken by his call or awake at the moment anyway Soliloquy would soon hear his brother's voice and take that answer as his invitation, slipping inside to join him out of the cold. It seemed icier still outside now without Isolde against his side though that being said he certainly wasn't about to cuddle up to his brother for comfort, he wasn't sure he had ever done that, though early memories of his childhood, that brief time of innocence would perhaps show such sweet brotherly moments. "Great." He responded simply now moving to find himself a space to settle down. "That's alright, don't get up." He added as he glanced at the sleepy looking male. "In fact it'll be better if you're quiet, I need some sleep myself." if we're all just cynics come undone

Without hesitation Soliloquy would slip into the den, his pale form bringing a higher level of warmth within the den just by entering. Scorpion would watch lazily as he seemed to make himself quite comfortable. He almost expected him to come curl up against his own side, though even he was unsure if the boy had ever done such to him as a child. The words that would follow would only serve to confuse him, head tilting and his expression half unbelieving he'd stare. "What do you think you're doing bunking with me? Don't you have a little she wolf to be worrying over?" He'd grumble as he placed his paws on his feet, eyes closing. Obviously he wasn't going to make a fuss, but he did expect an answer so he opened one eye to look at his younger brother.

if we're all just cynics on the run Of course this was a rather unusual behaviour for the boy, as Scorpion had correctly noted he now normally shared a den with Isolde and even prior to that moment had at least slept in a den of his own. Scorpion wouldn't protest too much but would at least question the oddity of Soliloquy's current actions. This probably wasn't going to be a quick little conversation the white male would realise and with a sigh would lift his head once more directing his eyes towards his brother clearly waiting for his answer. "Apparently not." He responded bluntly. "Can I sleep, I've only just got back. I'm tired." if we're all just cynics come undone

He'd hear the exhale of air as Soliloquy realized he wasn't going to get any peace until his brother's thirst for knowledge was sated. Head lifted from his paws the pale brother would start, commenting rather simply that it should have been obvious he was not in her presence. An eyebrow would lift as he found himself even more curious his head would lift once more. Oh his brother wouldn't get to wait until morning on this one. You can sleep," He'd start easily, "As soon as you explain why you're in my den tonight." He might not have been with Isolde, but he was becoming ever more curious as to why. What had Soliloquy been up to now?

It had been a long night and he wanted nothing more that to sleep now if he was honest, feeling more tired now that he had finally stopped and reached a point that he could rest, or at least should have been able to. A cruel thought considered going to find a snake to taunt his brother with though that was too much effort, he didn't wish to get bit himself and most importantly even in his cranky state wouldn't seriously consider teasing or harming his brother in that manner. "I'm not allowed in my den." He responded, giving in for it was really the only option he had if he wanted to close his eyes. Thing was a whole bunch of other questions were bound to follow and he wasn't really in the mood to answer them, he just wanted to sleep. "Isolde doesn't want to share. It seems I'm just like you brother." Othello clearly wasn't up for sharing just yet either after all, and hopefully that little comment would step too close to home and be enough for Scorpion to leave the topic alone now. if we're all just cynics come undone

Unknowingly the elder brother would prolong Soliloquy's night, of course he really didn't care one way or the other how his brother was feeling. He was a man, he could take a couple more questions before succumbing to some shut eye. The younger brother would reply simply, even more simplistic than Scorpion would have guessed. All the same Sol would go on to explain a little better, stating Isolde held no interest in sharing and insinuating that they were in the same boat. He'd scowl, "Funny." He'd huff before putting his head back to his paws. He wouldn't even wish his brother a good night's sleep before falling quiet himself and eventually falling back to sleep.

if we're all just cynics on the run Whilst Soliloquy had anticipated further questions to follow it seemed that Scorpion was content with what little information had been provided in the end either that or had taken quite the distaste to the little dig at his own romantic failures as of late. After a single sarcastic comment, Scorpion would fall silent and there would be no further questions at least not that Soliloquy could say he had heard anyway. He'd tried to wait and see if eventually Scorpion would ask him something else, though before the elder brother had fallen asleep, Soliloquy's eyes were closed and his dreams calling him. if we're all just cynics come undone
