Maybe she's born with it

Standing perfectly still amid the mist, the brute watched with keen interest as a beautiful specimen glided by. Markings the color of fire adorned her person; their black background coupled with the swirling mist giving them an ethereal quality, as if Fire itself was walking Alacritia. Her scent came to him on the wind and filled his nostrils with a very mortal perfume. The beauty was a she. Captivated by her and her peculiarities, the brute strode forward, intent on introducing himself and getting a better look at her markings. He closed the distance rapidly, long, fluid stride eating away at the ground with ease. In a matter of heartbeats he was only a few feet away and there Valentine paused as not to alarm the other with his presence. She was even more stunning up close, but he refused to make his smitten state known. "If you're scoping this place out, I suggest you look elsewhere for a home." He shrugged. "Far too many creepy crawlies here." Valen quirked a brow. "However, it is a good place to pout. The ambiance, the mist, the alligators...it'll curdle any mood." “” |

Sorcière les Désastre
A sudden spark ignites, And from the dark a light breaks the silence
Where the hell was she now? What kind of accursed place was this? Despite the swamp being mostly frozen, it still stunk to high heaven. A sigh left her, oh well, the smell was something that came with this place something she would have to get use to or utterly ignore it. No doubt her paws would need a wash at least before going any where or meeting with someone. She wondered, just where her and her mother would end up. She wanted them to join a pack, at least for the winter until it was over. But these thoughts were quickly interrupted by the smell of a male.
Those molten eyes switched to a blue form, strange but he didn't look half bad - not that she was looking at men at least of yet. She was still too young for such a thing. "That it would seem so, with the smell..it is a poor place to call home even for a short period." The words were soft, but held no emotion as that facade had already fallen into place, that steel wall surrounding her since early pup hood. "What is a pack wolf doing all the way out here?" The smell was undeniable, he was a part of a pack clearly.

In response to the fae's question, Valentine shrugged. He had no particular reason for visiting the swamp. Curiosity was his motivator. Well, that and an insatiable wanderlust. “Nothing of substance, really.” The brute eyed her curiously. All he was doing was killing time, maybe he'd even do a little recruiting if the opportunity arose. He quirked a brow at her. “And what about you? What brings you to these desolate parts?” The corners of his mouth lifted in a slight smirk and amusement laced his voice. Before she had a chance to reply, he went on, “Let me guess. You came here for the sights, yeah?” “” |
