She felt giant, she knew that the end of her misery was almost over. Her abdomen was incredibly swollen, the spawn within made more obvious by her tiny frame. She'd started creating a nest, and found herself unwilling to leave the cave like structure she called home. The spotted she wolf couldn't get comfortable at all anymore. Othello did her best to help, but even with her effort Isolde was a mess. Sleep hardly found her anymore and it was beginning to show.

Othello was not within the den at the moment, maybe off having a word with Scorpion? She hadn't realized how similar their stories had been until both brothers realized that the she wolves were sharing sleeping space. Her swollen form would readjust again, it seemed she had to move all the time now. They couldn't get out of her soon enough, and though she hardly looked forward to birthing them she was done done done with pregnancy.

Truth be told Soliloquy dispised the current sleeping arrangements. At least he was free to his own den and didn't have to share with his brother, though the stale scent of Isolde taunted him knowing she was cuddled up to another. It may have been Othello, though that still didn't settle the boy's mind at all, eager to return to bring her fully back into his world. Of course he still wasn't ready to fully commit, the secret and almost forgotten encounter with Desireé surely proof of that fact though Isolde was still his and in his strange way he did care for the girl.

For that reason he tried, he hunted for her visited her and cared for her in any way that he could. He kept true to his promise and hadn't left the range at all and yet still it seemed nothing had changed apart from the fact that Isolde continued to grow. If the changes had seemed so clear between each trip back home, they were nothing compared to now. He would never been fully aware of her discomfort, Othello after all was still the one she shared a den with and the white woman could of course sympathise with her in a way that Soliloquy never good given the whole gender role situation meaning he never had to fear actually being pregnant himself and Othello had already experienced the whole thing.

That didn't mean to say he would like the fact she was around Isolde. He much preferred the idea of her remaining at Scorpion's side, not influencing Isolde in any was as he was convinced she had done. Since her refusal to let him see the spotted girl he no longer felt he could really call her a friend, not that she had ever been anything more to him than his brother's girl. She was away now though, he had seen her leaving earlier and he would take the opportunity to visit Isolde without a watchful glare upon him.

SHe wouldn't be left alone for very long as the silhouette of Soliloquy would appear at the front of the den. She hadn't gone back to his side, not yet. Though he was proving that he cared, such was obvious to her in the food he brought her and the time he would come to see her. She would admit that she was finding herself warming up to the idea of him again, and she knew that by the time they were born she would want him to move in here with her.

Soliloquy's den held barely enough room for the two of them, it was hardly a place to be trying to nurse the puppies. As she lived with Othello the how of raising her babies would become easier as the older she wolf told her of what she had done. What to expect and what to avoid. She still felt very much overwhelmed, but safer since she had an idea of what was going on. A lot would be instinct that she relied on, but Othello's knowing words would help.

Her head would told curiously as she looked i Soliloquy's direction, he hadn't said anything yet but she would gladly invite him in. "You can come in," She'd tell him, ears perked as she watched the doorway.

Soliloquy would approach quietly, to be honest part of him had wondered if perhaps Othello's absence was simply because Isolde was finally resting. From what he gathered she was rather tired as of late, finding it difficult to successfully rest. She was awake however, his bright eyes would pick out her form easily though before he had the chance to work out whether she slept or not, her voice would answer for him, inviting him inside the den. A part of him revelled in the win, knowing full well that Othello would disapprove of his presence inside. The same part of him couldn't help but wonder what her reaction would be if she returned to find him here.

The white woman would soon be cast away from his thoughts however, instead allowing his attention to focus fully upon Isolde as he silently slipped inside the den. "How are you, my sweet?" He enquired, resisting that urge for physical contact. It had once come so naturally for the pair of them and yet now she pulled away from his advances. He hated that, it only made him even more bitter about the fact that she slept here with Othello. Words were all he had now and he hated them, never had he really felt as eloquent with speaking as his brother.

He seemed pleased as he entered quietly into the den, she couldn't help the small grin that would play over her features. No matter how much he'd upset her she still found herself completely infatuated with him. His gentle lyrics would reach her ears and her tail would thump, rather pleased as he made no move to intrude within her space. It was odd to have him so far away for so long, even at their first meeting he had embraced her to keep her warm. She was not so cruel though, "You don't have to sit so far away," She'd say softly before answering his question, "I'm doing rather wretchedly if you must know." There, the confession. "You've filled me with these tiny parasites and I don't know how well my body can keep up with them." Surely she would explode if they grew any bigger. A sigh would leave her lips as she leaned into him, presuming he'd come to sit by her like she'd hinted at. "It's nice to rely on you again," Her voice was a whisper as her gaze grew more far off, more than anything during their time apart she'd missed his affectionate support.

Though pleased with the invitation into the den Soliloquy hadn't anticipated his luck improving any further and yet now he would be given an even greater surprise as Isolde extended the opportunity for him to move closer. He did not need to be told twice, moving away from the entrance of the den to to join her and and he would settle beside her with practiced ease. Why on earth had it taken them so long to get back even to this stage? As much as he trying now to care for and please his russet beauty, to be completely honest he still failed to see quite where things had gone horrifically wrong. He may have been doing an ok job at redeeming himself though the man was still a clueless fool.

At his enquiry to her current state he would merely be met with a cleatly negative answer and now found himself with no idea what to say back. He hadn't impregnated her on purpose after all, did not want to be a father as much if not more than Isolde had feared the idea of being a mother. Where Othello had calmed Isolde slightly more now, Scorpion sadly had not achieved the same feat with Soliloquy.

Even without further words or any initiation on his behalf for further contact, Soliloquy would find Isolde leaning into him, whispering softly. It had been far too long since they had spent time together like this and he was glad they were heading back in the right direction once more. Softly he would nuzzle her, breathing in her scent though at the back of his mind still longing to rid her of Othello's smell. "Perhaps I can make you feel better." He offered quietly, those little affectionate touches continuing.

Soliloquy fit beside her like a perfect glove, his form contouring to her enlarged frame with obvious ease. She couldn't help the smile that curled over her features as she looked up into his sunny yellow eyes. She felt like some kind of barrier had been broken, like she could begin to trust him again. Though by now she had realized very clearly that an apology would not be coming, she knew that he was very much sorry about the rift that had torn them apart. He seemed unwilling to answer her words, though really there wasn't much he could say.

His affectionate touch would keep her mind from wandering as they lay there together for the first time since before she realized her condition. The relief she felt with his form pressed against hers was astounding. Though she found that her heart seemed to beat for Othello her body would sing for Soliloquy. He'd whisper to her, nuzzling her softly, distracting her from the roundness and discomfort of her bloated body. "How are you going to do that?" She'd ask quietly, her eyes peering up beneath her lashes as her buried her nose in his neck. "Speech"

Soliloquy certainly couldn't be called a nostalgic man and yet there was no denying that he had missed this; the contact of Isolde, his Isolde. Fully committed to her or not, he wished never for this to change and that strained period would hopefully never happen again. Of course it wasn't completely over, he still had Othello to deal with though surely if he had managed to redeem himself his brother would surely achieve the same task now his paw was recovering.

She had invited him inside, to her side and leant against him, his little nuzzles surely wouldn't be rebuked and sure enough his assumption had been correct. Gone apparently were the days of pushing him away, retreating from his touch and Soliloquy was relieved to find themselves here again. "Just relax." He informed her simply, placing a kiss atop of her head. Daunted by her size and perhaps worried that their preferred past time might make things difficult and even more uncomfortable for her he wouldn't seek anything more. As with their first meeting he would be a gentleman, at least as close to one as he was able, and simply lie at Isolde's side to comfort her and shower her in affection.

She knew the tensio that would reside between Othello and Soliloquy, that much had been made clear at the last clash of wills. Still, she would mostly ignore it and out it to rest in the back of her mind. She loved them both, and it was unlikely that she would want either to disappear from her life. Solilqouy was the father of her unborn children, her caretaker for the better part of the last year. She would never be able to just let him go, no matter his transgressions. What he did had been cruel, and she hurt from it but he was here now, and that was what counted. He was going to be there for the birth and if she had any say so he would be a big part of their lives.

Though he probably deserved a far worse punishment than what she'd given him she wasn't able to keep herself from him any longer. She gave in to his affectionate touch and the his gentle words. A soft sigh would slip from her lips as she pay her features on his paws, legs would stretch out as she curled her back against. She wasn't sure what he was up to, but she doubted she was in any kind of condition to mess around. All the room inside her was being taken up by pups. He seemed to know this as he remained still, only moving to cover her in his affectionate touch.

Soliloquy was certainly glad to have gotten off what was apparently lightly. It had been torture for the man though, whether Isolde realised it or not, to see her here with Othello to know that each night she was curled up with her rather than him. Ignorant or simply disbelieving of it all, he knew not how deep the connection between the two had gone, to him it simply made no sense at all for the two women to choose each others company over his own and Scorpion's where they were both supposed to be after all.

Things fortunately appeared to be heading back onto the right track now though it was too late to make the most of what little time they had alone as Scorpion had originally suggested and Soliloquy completely misinterpreted but at least they were almost back to where they had once been or at the very least at a point he could now see it all getting there eventually. She would listen to his words, and he would feel her relaxing now at his side. Though he had not by any means tired himself, her presence and the knowledge that he had earned her trust once more would soothe him as well. The nuzzles and kisses would continue of course though."I have missed you my dear Isolde" He would murmur. Though perhaps it would have been more correct to say he had missed this he could be somewhat articulate at times.

Eventually there was likely to be more confrontation about her choice in company, but she didn't wish to see either Othello or Soliloquy leave her. She'd seen the love that her parents had shared once, and though she didn't have that exclusively with Soliloquy or Othello she felt like with both of them she was closer to whole than she'd ever been. Soliloquy was there for her physical needs, but he was useless when it came to her emotional side. Othello was the perfect solution to that deficiency.

Soliloquy seemed quite ready to get their relationship back to where it had once been, the two of them nearly inseparable at one time. He'd lavish her with the affections she'd been denying him since he'd made the decision to return to her side. He'd whisper to her sweetly as he worked to make her relax, she'd feel her lips upturn into more of a smile as she let him groom her enormous belly. "I missed you, Sol," It was unlikely he could no how much she had needed him and how desperately she had wanted his presence in the weeks following their discovery. He had been late on the uptake but he was doing rather well now. Her tail would beat contentedly, and as she relaxed it seemed the pups would excite. At her middle the three little beings inside would start to dance at their father's touch.

To say that Soliloquy wasn't a very understanding and emotional wolf would be an understatement and yet evidently there was some semblance of feelings somewhere within the man. Though perhaps he wanted Isolde purely to please his own selfish desires, there was of course a part of him that still cared for the woman, perhaps second in his life only to Scorpion and these children he was certain would not change that fact.

If not for Isolde's rounded stomach, honest Soliloquy would have preferred to forget those things growing inside of her. Though she would roll over now, and his kisses and nuzzles would fall upon it, retreating as suddenly, the movement of the pups startling him. "It moved" He remarked, gaze falling momentarily to her face and then back to her stomach, almost worried to touch her again now. He was not disgusted by the movement, though a little fearful "Is that normal?" He questioned, a small hint of concern in his voice. They weren't coming now were they?

Soliloquy had easily been the most important wolf in her life up until the day she'd realized her pregnancy, after he'd left her she found that Othello would also make her way into Isolde's heart. She still wasn't sure how she felt about the spawn that filled her womb, they were still so foreign and alien. Surely their birthday would reveal more emotions then? Right now she felt oddly neutral about them, and she was sure Sol's feelings could not be stronger than her own.

She'd feel the disturbance within her as Soliloquy jumped back, obviously startled by the sudden movement made by his offspring. She'd smile softly at him as he look worriedly at her middle, his question filled with a concern that she would not have expected. She'd felt them move a few times prior, and it didn't seem to mean anything more disturbing than that incredibly weird feeling of something moving inside her. "As far as I know it is." She'd soothe him, nuzzling into his chest lightly. "They just wanted to tell you hello." Softly she'd add as she watched him from the corner of her eye. What was he thinking about?

Soliloquy still had no attachment at all to the little things. He still didn't dare think of himself as a soon to be father, it still seemed so wrong and he still dreaded the arrival of them. Though Scorpion had given him advice, told him they could be fun little minions there was a disbelief still lurking within his mind despite the fact that anyone else would perhaps guess that he had been his brother's very first little minion. Isolde on the other hand had taken onboard any advice and comforting words cast her way, though clearly the one physically suffering in all of this, mentally she had certainly done a far better job of keeping herself together than Soliloquy had.

Now as well she wouldn't be fazed by the abrupt shock that had taken hold of Soliloquy, still staring confused at her stomach. He truly was rather clueless about everything it seemed, it was logical that the life growing inside her was free to move in what little space they had and yet he had never thought about it before and certainly never experienced it in any way, Soliloquy hadn't spent much time around pregnant wolves, unless of course you counted his own time growing within his mother's womb.

The explanation was so simple and yet Soliloquy still was somewhat uncertain about this newly discovered oddity. A more caring individual would perhaps worry that their contact had harmed the children, perhaps that was what had startled them into action though no such thought entered his mind just yet. Instead he simply tried to get to grips with it, now slowly moving closer, bright eyes still examining the stomach and gently he would nudge it once more with his nose, a similar caution perhaps to the way one might poke something with a stick to check if it was dead or alive.

Isolde would watch him as he stared at her rounded stomach, he looked absolutely dumbfounded. He had her attention now though, what did he think that they were just going to come out after him? She would stifle the giggle that threatened to come out as he slowly went to poke at her protruding belly, as she felt his nose to her side she would giggle. He was ridiculous. Still, he'd get a reaction, though she had no idea if it was the one he was hoping for. Eagerly the pups within would show him, indeed they were alive and getting quite excited to come out. She'd giggle again shaking her head at him, what a pair of parents they would be.

Of course Soliloquy only had himself to blame for being so clueless about everything, skipping a large portion of the girl's pregnancy and fleeing for some time alone, although of course he hadn't been entirely alone throughout it all. This was all so strange and new though and he found himself completely unsure on how to react to this movement. Once more he would find himself stunned by it however, pulling back slightly although not as much before as he felt yet another kick of 'hello' from one of the children, still uncertain what to make of it. "Doesn't it hurt?" He enquired, eyes now falling once more to Isolde's face, she was smiling away she didn't seem to be in pain and yet he couldn't imagine it was a nice feeling.

She found it odd to see Soliloquy so out of his element. He'd always been so confident in her presence it was obvious that despite this he was clueless about the results of their primary activity. He would pull back again from the child's touch, though this time a bit less surprised. Still giggling slightly he'd look down at her now, curiosities falling from his lips. She didn't want to giggle at him, she knew that he couldn't have enjoyed being so out of the loop, but she couldn't help it. Though she wasn't laughing at him so maybe he'd join in her amusement. "No, it just feels about like your poke... only from the inside so it's.. really weird." She'd chuckle as she nuzzled his fur, eventually it would turn into a sigh. "I'm not ready, Sol." She'd confess slowly, even though the statement was quite obvious.

Of course the tiny little pups didn't really have enough strength behind them to really hurt though the simple idea of something moving around inside of you really didn't sound comfortable and Soliloquy hadn't thought beyond that at all. Being out of the loop of all this strange pregnancy stuff wasn't what bothered him so much however, he could live without all that sort of knowledge though it was the simple case of being out of Isolde's life that had really bothered the man. Being shut away from her, unable to even stand too close and watching her with Othello, that had been the real torture for him.

This however was rather close to that. It wasn't exactly a comment he was entirely comfortable with although he too wasn't ready for this either. The problem was he didn't exactly wantto talk about his own feelings on the matter or really talk about it at all. He had no support at all to offer to Isolde, no comforting words to make her feel better and once more was at a loss on how to reply to her at all. In the end he would choose the simple truth that perhaps she had already realised for herself and he had somewhat confirmed during their strained meeting at the orchard; "Neither am I."

She didn't know how much she would punish the white brute by denying him contact, nor would she realize how much Othello really bothered him. Yeah she understood his frustration at the incident where he'd found them together, but would she have every believed he was jealous? Especially of her time with another woman, it seem preposterous. Surely he didn't feel that strongly for her.. did he? Isolde was clueless to how deeply his feelings for her went, though obviously it was unlikely he would ever say he loved her, even that might have dissuaded her from Othello's side. However what was done was done, and Isolde would be hard pressed to give up the relationship she'd formed with Scorpion's lover.

For a long moment Soliloquy would remain silent, her dark eyes would watch him before finally agreeing simply. Her features would fall just a bit, not that she had expected some grand revelation from him in the first place. A sigh would again fall from her lips as she struggled to find anything to cling to. Any kind of supportive thought or a little bit of conversation about their future. "They'll be born anytime now," she'd say softly, "I'm scared." She had to say something to him. They'd been so disconnected, they had to focus on what was going to happen in just a few days time.

When contact had been the primary part of their relationship surely she could have realised how much Soliloquy would suffer without it. Unlike many connections, this had been a completely a rather shallow start especially on the man's behalf. He'd seen a girl he liked the look of, one who had responded well to him and from that moment desired her. Even now there was really very few important details they had shared with one and other, they were practically strangers in some aspects, this was perhaps to be their second real conversation.

There was no escaping words this time as much as he hated them and detested the idea of revealing his own emotions and truths to even Isolde. Couldn't it have simply stopped at the simple point that they weren't ready to be parents rather than delving further into a conversation? It seemed this wasn't allowed to be the case as she admitted her fear. He wouldn't go quite so far as saying he was scared of course, though after another small pause he would find himself speaking once more. "Children hate me." He commented bluntly, a topic that surely wouldn't help settle Isolde's nerves at all. It'd explain his absence however, and hopefully would prevent her from imagining some sort of perfect world with happy children and proud parents. They'd hate him, he was sure of it.
