She heard Isolde's voice call out to her, thanking her, but she couldn't turn back. A deep sadness filled her heart, tears streaming down her face as she wandered aimlessly around the range. She was happy for the new family, there was no doubting that. But there was something else weighing her down, the loss of her own children. It wasn't as if they had passed away, they were still on this earth and just chose not to be with her. Perhaps that hurt more, the fact that they left her of their own free will. Was she truly that terrible of a mother? She had done all she could have, but she had her own ghosts to deal with. Demons of her own kind. And seeing those little souls... she couldn't help but think of her own babies, after the large children had almost taken her life from her. A shuttering sigh left her maw as she blinked the tears away, trying to force them to still.

She finally realized where her paws had taken her, right outside the den that once housed her, Scorpion, and their pups. Their scent had nearly vanished by now, phantom whispers of it lingering to torture her. A new scent was there as well, one that almost made her turn and walk away. Soliloquy. He seemed to like to be there when she wasn't, he was now in the den with Isolde and his scent was fresh and mixed with Scorpions. Sniffling, her nose wrinkles as she poked her black marked face into the den. "Scorpion? she called softly, almost timidly. Her tear stained face moved around, trying to spot the lumbering giant. She hadn't seen him much since she returned, after nearly losing him he wasn't sure that her heart could take it. But now, now he craved to be by his side, for him to tell him that everything was going to be okay. But would he want her here?

He was practically recovered, he could easily stand on his foot, walk and almost run with no complication. Orchid had been a rather apt healer. Of course if anyone could heal him it would have been her. Still, he was feeling lazy and hadn't much left the den in quite some time. It had been lonely, but he liked it that way. The quiet was nice to recover to. Though he was getting bored, and missed the visits from Othello. He was vaguely aware of where she'd been spending her time, though he didn't know how deeply the relationship went. He was glad she could be there for his brother's girl.

He'd stir at the voice that called into teh den, his sweet Othello would knock at his door. Eager to see her face the brute would turn over, not missing the scents that clung to her pelt. He would choose not to comment, only wanting her close now that she had decided to come back to his side. "Othello," He would greet back welcomingly, he'd motion for her to come and curl against his belly. "Come and get warm," He would further suggest.

She had not seen him, as his dark back blending in with the rest of the cave. But she heard him shuffle, turning to expose his lighter belly as his voice tumbled for her. Letting out a sob she raced to him, basically flopped over as she arched her back into his stomach. Othello wiggled her head between his forelegs, purple eyes squeezing shut as more tears spilled. She was sure that Scorpion was able to smell the birth on her fur, but he didn't mention it at all -- a fact that she was thankful for. She didn't want to talk about the three new perfect lives that entered the world, the sadness too heavy to even speak about it. "I've missed you," she whined, nipping at his forelegs. Her ears were flat against her skull, but she didn't want to talk about why she was crying either. She just wanted to forget it all, to be here with Scorpion. He was here for her no matter what, and she had been foolish to keep herself away from him. But Isolde had needed her, and she couldn't deny her affection for the spotted woman. Her little fawn. She was a mother now, and Othello was... what? What even was she any more?

He hadn't been too bothered by the loss of his children, they were old enough to make their own choices and if they didn't like him he preferred that they get out rather than stick around anyway. Othello's emotions were much more fragile though, and she had been devastated as they'd found that Revenge too had slipped away. He realized very well that her upset figure was caused by the birth of his brother's first children. Their scent would drench her, but he was unwilling to ask unless she said something. Soliloquy would give him any information he would care about or need.

Othello would easily make herself comfortable, pushing herself into his embrace. He'd hold her close to himself, kissing her cheek tenderly. "i've missed you," He'd rumble, it was the honest truth. A deep growl would bubble within his chest at her little nips. Smiling he would find his way to her skin with his teeth, returning her nips easily. Behind him his tail would lash with a pleased fervor as he pulled her even closer. "My, Othello." He would claim her verbally once more, needing to feel her against him.
