ooc: No deadline, no posting order. Let's go!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It had begun as a simple bit of rain, seemingly nothing to worry about though animals everywhere had of course sensed that the worst was yet to come. Even so Novella could have never predicted things would reach this level of danger. The bay was far more dangerous, the winds painfully strong and rain so heavy you could barely see the end of your nose. She hadn't made it far enough but she was sure the tide was higher as well, the water starting to flood the area. She'd searched for as long as she dared, attempting to ensure that no one else was around the area, most importantly that none of the children had wandered that way. She had been unable to find Aslan that morning and it had worried her sick.

She had reunited with the boy now though as she transferred back over towards the falls. The weather was a little calmer here, though still very dangerous. She didn't dare lead them closer to the falls, it was their rising water level that had alerted her to the dangers of flooding in the first place. She would howl now, summoning all towards her. They would have to move temporarily, find shelter elsewhere away from the rivers and oceans and perhaps less affected by this awful storm. Where she had no idea, but first things first, the pack had to be gathered. She would stand protectively close to her son hoping that Frith would soon arrive with both Herne and Varda in tow. Praying that her parents would show safely with their three children. Wanting nothing more than the entire pack, safe and sound standing around her.

Where had the sun gone? The was a rather constant thought in Aslan's mind right now as he wandered through the storm. He wasn't quite sure why he had wondered off now, it certainly didn't seem he would find the sun in this awful weather but something drove him onwards anyway. He had gotten somewhat lost though, the rain obscuring vision and washing away scents, he didn't know how to get back to the den. His mother had found him though and together they had travelled until she would stop and summon the pack forwards. Silently the boy would wait at her side for the family to appear. He didn't plan on straying from her again any time soon now.

The pup wandered around aimlessly, soaked by the unstoppable rain. She had never been outside in the rain, as her and her brothers were usually protected in their den. But now it was different. She had been enjoying her usual day-to-day life, relaxing by the streams. She somehow did not realize the thick and dismal clouds overhead, until the storm unleashed. The pools and rivers were overflowing with water, swallowing more of the surrounding land. With an alarmed yelp she scampered about, her pelting paws leading her through massive and deep pools of water. The falls were flooding the area! She was scared and alone, whimpering as she pushed against the violent winds. The gales could sweep her off her paws and the water could swallow her up! But where was her family?

Mama! She heard her mother's howl not far away. Her mother was here! The exhausted creature stumbled further from the falls, searching for her family. In an instant, two figures came into sight.

"Mama! Aslan!" She gasped, approaching the ivory and chestnut wolves. "The falls are flooding!"

What was happening? Why was it raining so much? Would it get worse?

The rains at first would not be something to worry about normally but this felt different. The air felt more charged and tensed. She shifted in the den, trying to just shrug it off and go back to sleep. Days like this usually made her sleepy. And she was nearly back to sleep when water started to seep down into the den. She barked out in alarm, scrambling to her paws, eyes watching the water pour in."EVERYONE! Get up and out of the den!" She yelled, not even seeing who was in the family den with her. She rushed out of the den, trying to remain clam. But as soon as she was out in the open her body was pounded by the rain and howling winds. Ears flattened down and eyes narrowed. Good thing she and her brothers weren't little pups anymore. Just then she picked out her Aunt's howl over the storm. "Novella's calling for us, lets go. It must be about the storm, the whole place is flooding!" She called to her family before taking off.

She would be the first to arrive to her Aunt besides her two pups. She neared them and would smile down at the pups."Don't worry you two, we'll be safe soon enough once everyone is here." She turned to look up at her Aunt. "We got to get to high ground, but everything is at water level here. Do you know if there are any caves behind the falls?" Oddly enough the young girl felt very calm and had a clear mind. She honestly was not afraid, she knew her family would be ok so long as everyone remained calm too. She moved closer to help shield the pups from the storm and would nuzzle each one if they let her. They were her cousins after all and so cute!

Her hopes would not be the case however, Varda would appear on her own no Herne and no Frith following behind her. Novella would encourage her daughter closer to Aslan and herself nuzzling her gently and checking for any damage. Apart from frightened, just as with Aslan however Varda seemed alright. "I know. We'll gather everyone and then we'll sort out what we're going to do. It will all be ok." She tried to sound calm, hopefully not put any more fear into her children though truth be told she was a little worried, this storm was awful.

The next to appear would be her niece Cerise, she would cast a thankful smile in the girl's direction as she too attempted to calm down the two pups. Once that task was out of the way, the young girl would question as to whether there was somewhere behind the falls they could settle. There was her and Frith's crystal cave though there wasn't enough room for the entire pack nor did she really want to give away her secret. Fortunately it wasn't simply out of selfish reasons that she could lie now, she honestly didn't think it was a good idea.

"I don't think hiding in a cave is really the best solution. We've no idea how long the weather might be like this for, it could get worse. It's coming in from the coast so if we travel further inland we'll still be able to hunt whilst keeping ourselves safe." It was a temporary solution, the weather wouldn't be this bad forever but whilst it proved to be potentially dangerous, a temporary move would be the best solution. She would be repeating those words an awful lot as the rest of the pack began to arrive unless someone else could think of anything better.

Varda would soon arrive and he would lean into her slightly as she joined them. His sister would followed by one of the older wolves he'd seen at the meeting though couldn't quite recall her name, he hadn't spent enough time with many of his cousins to be able to do such a thing. Caves behind the falls? He was certainly a little intrigued though his mother would turn down the idea with a suggestion that Aslan was rather confused by. "We're leaving?" He would question, shocked that this would be the suggestion. He had no qualms with exploring but the falls were his home. And what about Arivae, would his little cousin be ok?

Sorrel had been out attempting to gather herbs when the heavens opened. With the healer's den being the closest, he had hid himself inside it, mismatched eyes watching the dark clouds with annoyance as they continued to soak the earth and the storm arrived. Silently he would retreat further inside, certainly not liking the sound of the howling winds nor rumbles of thunder and streaks of lightning that would join the chaos. He longed for his family but he was not chancing going out in that! And so for hours he would sit alone.

Unfortunately however it was getting to the point it was necessary to leave. The den, so close to the falls was amongst the first of them to start flooding, filling with water. It was rather astonishing how quickly the place was starting to fill, some of the collected plants had swept away and now the water was pooling around his paws, even at the back of the den. Sorrel was feeling rather uncomfortable with the entire situation.

As a distraction he would attempt to collect whatever herbs he could that were still floating within the den. The sodden plants probably wouldn't do any good now though as he caught the Lavender he would be tempted to take some regardless. He wasn't trying to sleep of course, though hopefully it'd still calm him now, providing it worked. He'd take a little extra, just to be on the safe side. Valerian Root would have been better though he couldn't see any of that around, either they were out or it had been lost to the growing river over the lands.

By the time his aunt's call sounded the medication had well and truly kicked in. His worries had certainly subsided though he had ingested too much, and mild drowsiness was kicking in. He wouldn't fall asleep, though he certainly wasn't feeling awake enough to function properly in this dangerous situation. He still didn't particularly want to go outside, even now he thought it was a ridiculous time to call a meeting but he would venture outside, moving through the water, the levels had risen again now and were already touching his stomach and sides as he got closer to the entrance of the den and there.

The current was growing stronger now and it was deeper at the entrance and outside of the den, the result was that Sorrel would struggle though drowsy he wouldn't cope too well. He would find his feet sweeping from beneath him and as if not drowsy enough, his head would collide with a tree. He would come to a halt in a shallow puddle but for how long would it stay that way. Hopefully long enough for the boy to be discovered. Out cold, he had no way of moving himself or crying for help.

Like his twin, as the heavens opened F?licien sought out shelter. When the rains let up he would look in the healers dens for his mother and brother, slowly gather his family, but the rains didn't let up. They got heavier... the falls starting to make the river overflow. The den which he hid himself in had flooded as well, and as the water rose he saw no other choice than to plunge into the storm. Novella's call was lost upon the boy, in all honestly, as he moved through the waters. He was scared, but not for himself. Where was his family? Where were they in all of this? The rains left his nose useless, rendered his eyes bad off, and his hearing less than what it would be. In short; he had a heavy disadvantage.

Fate would lead him to his twin. They were bound, and the mirror of his brother would find his brother within the puddle. Water swirled around them, and if not moved soon the current could rise and take his brother again. This time to never be seen. This, F?li could only assume, was what has must have happened. Sorrel was out cold. F?licien felt fear bubble in his gut, and he would grab his brother's scruff in his jaws. He would have to pull him to higher ground, somehow. 'Come on... please...' The young man's heart was pound in his chest. If he lost Sorrel... he would never forgive himself. The male would pull, trying to slide his sibling through the muck and lower level of water to safety.

The water levels were obviously rising, and he happened to be on the opposite side of the territory. Chocolate ears would fold back against his head as Frith realised the gravity of the situation and that his family was in danger. Abandoning the border he would sprint back to the den. Rain would sting his ears and nose as he raced as fast as he could back to the den. By the time he heard his wife?s howl he knew how dire the situation was, and he?d pray that his children were safe.
He?s almost barrel over the pair as he came into sight of the gathering area, fully underwater. The twins, Novella?s nephews, his nephews, were in a puddle. One was very much not moving. Frith would feel a growl bubble up over his chest as he leapt in, his own strength aiding in Feli?s as the pair tried to drag the young boy from the water and towards Novella. What were they going to do?

Sorrel had been left seemingly alone for a while, though one witness to the ordeal had remained huddled in a nearby tree. The being was a Madagascar Red Owl, unable to escape the lands before the storm had kicked in his was stuck sheltering in this tree now though watching the wolf there was a sympathetic desire to brave the weather and seek help for him. He truly didn't want to fly in this weather however and instead his gaze remained fixed upon the canine, willing him to suddenly wake up and run off to safety, holding on in his likely ridiculous plan so as not to miss the miraculous event.

No such thing happened however, Sorrel remained unconscious though the owl for a moment almost thought he was seeing double when a second appeared, so identical to the first in appearance. The twin tried to move the fallen brother though the efforts weren't working too well it seemed.

The extra play and exploration F?li had engaged in as a child had strengthened him and whilst they may have made it to the same height it seemed rather likely that Sorrel would always be the slightly weaker of the twins. His mind simply wasn't ready to awaken just yet however, F?li's presence wouldn't even stir the boy from his enforced slumber and nor would the attempts to move his body.

"He hit his head on that tree over there." The bird would call out to the concious of the twins. "He's been out for a little while. I can't fly but you'll need help to move him." As if on cue another wolf would appear. This one looked nothing like the two boys, he was larger and quick to help, together their efforts were certainly working and it seemed that the wolf would be safe now. He was a little nervous about his next plan but curious about the boy's recovery and perhaps a little tempted to join the wolves in their search for safety the bird would drop down, settling himself upon Sorrel's body. "I would like to come too if that's alright?"

Sorrel was in big trouble, that much was obvious. As he grabbed the scruff and lifted him his unconsciousness was ever more obvious. Frith would growl, but cut off the noise as he heard the voice of a bird. Fire and ice eyes would widen as he looked at the creature, but he was reminded slightly of Symphony?s own little owl and his hackles would fall. As an answer to the question Frith would nod slightly, or as best he could with Sorrel in his jaws, and would not chase the raptor off. The man would heave the boy out of the water, hoping Feli would be there to help drag them to higher ground. He needed to se Novella and his babies. He had to be sure they were alright. With much might he would heave and bring the Destruction boy to safety.

The boy would pull, speaking to himself in his mind, willing strength to his body during this time of need. He feared his strength would not be enough to support his sibling, even if he was a bit larger and stronger. Sorrel was still pretty much at his adult size after all. However something strange would occur when he heard a rather odd voice. Much to F?licien?s surprise, when he shifted his bi-colored gaze to see the speaker, it was some type of avian... An owl he believed. It looked different then his mother?s own, however. Another would come almost immediately, the golden boy stumbling some as he shifted his gaze, nearly releasing his hold on his brother. Frith.

F?li was grateful, eternally grateful that he had shown up when he did. The other male would add strength to his own, and Sorrel?s body would begin to move easier now. At least more-so than with just himself dragging the other. As they pulled the owl would settle upon his brother?s body. He honestly didn?t mind if the other came -- no one should be damned to stay in this cursed storm. He would give a soft grunt, making sure to give his all to aid Frith in bringing his twin to safety. Thank the goodness they had made it.

It would take a while for anyone else to join them and frantic eyes would search the lands for any more members of the pack. A part of her was tempted to venture off leaving the children in Cerise's care in hopes of finding everyone else. Where were her parents, her siblings, and where on earth was Herne? Her hopes that he would be with Frith wouldn't be confirmed as her mate suddenly came into view. One of the twins were at his side, and with their backs turned they slowly were making progress in joining the gathering group. "Wait here." She requested to her niece and children. Fearful and curious Novella would cautiously tread closer to get their attention and find out what had happened, there was a sickening fear within her gut that not everything was ok with the pair.

A gasp would sound as she closed enough distance to notice the second of Symphony's sons lying upon the ground and being pulled by the pair. A nervous glance would be cast back towards Cerise, Aslan and Varda. "Is he... is he ok?" She was terrified to fear the worse but his limp body dragged across the lands certainly wasn't a good sign.

They were making progress, slowly and surely, but there was no hiding the worry in the boy's heart. F?licien would let go of Sorrel when he heard Novella, panting some, and he would turn his gaze to her. Hopefully Frith would stop too. A short breather while they figured out where they were going to go was needed. At least Sorrel was out of immediate danger of being washed away. "I believe he'll be alright. This fellow here said that he hit his head on a tree. He might have tried taking something to calm his nerves cause of the storm..." Which was why such a thing might have happened in the first place. Sorrel had been completely alone after all. With it getting so bad...

F?li would look to his brother's unconscious form, shivering some. "...What are we going to do, Novella?" His voice wavered, betraying the boy's worry. He'd glance back to her, seeing some gathered beyond. Cerise was there... but not his mother or father. That just got his stomach in more of a knot. Were they... were they okay? Lost in the storm? Ears were lowered, a whine threatening to leave him. He felt helpless... they were all at nature's mercy right now.

He was alive, he had just hit his head. A breath Novella hadn't even been aware she was holding had been released now, they were all still in danger, Sorrel especially it seemed though the situation fortunately was not as bad as it seemed. "Take him over there to Cerise and the children and help her keep an eye on them." She advised. "We'll have to evacuate the lands for a while I think, I'll go see if I can find anyone else."

She had done her search around the bay and now it seemed the same would be necessary for the falls now that there were more people to watch the children. She would set off to find them all first, collecting Herne and her younger siblings. Her parents would be found as well and Myth too, though not ready to leave themselves yet they would stay to look out for Symphony and Gitan, the children had to get out of the storm.

She would make her way back to the little group, announce once more that they would be setting off and then it was time to move. She hated leaving some behind, but they were right, the children and Sorrel couldn't be left here it was dangerous for them.

ooc: OK so thread is continued here had to ooc wrap up some things to get plots moving and just so we all have a plan.
