She would gather her children, now old enough to travel and lead them out past the borders of her domain. She had destination in mind, perhaps bringing her children wasnt the wisest idea, but exposing them to the world was. It was time they learned exactly what the world was capable, or what it could produce. Silver limbs would carry her slowly, sense diligently trained on her children as they ran about, their sense undoubtedly on overload. Her destination was the forest she had once inhabited, intending on seeking out the tyrant that now resided there. A smirk would curl her lips. Solstice had vanished, but now a new enemy had arisen. It had crossed her mind briefly if the pallid was woman was simply hungry for war, or if her sights had solely been set on the russet bitch.

Her pace was steady until she found herself on the outskirts of the forest. Her coral gaze cut through the heavy mist that she had grown to love. Her crown would tip back, a melody dripping off her lips as she sought out the tyrant. Haunches would fold as she reclined to wait. "Don't go into the forest, monsters might eat you." She would murmur to her children, a smirk toying with her lips. The faintest of borders lingered, silently claiming the forest. Silver ears tipped forward as her gaze left that of her children and returned to the mists.

entranced, the viper maneuvers upon willowy appendages with the finesse of a fledgling queen, each stride elongated and pronounced despite the lingering sensation of apprehension swelling beneath taut flesh. and her pupils are frantic in their rigorous scrutiny as she ravenously indulges in the foreign sights proffered to her, intrigue inherent yet contained as she attempts to maintain pace with her mother. it is only once the silver wraith ceases to navigate further that the babe’s own saunter is stunted, her miniscule skull then inclining towards her mother’s familiar visage as a tacit query graces her shadowed countenance in the form of furrowed brows. for the viper is uncertain as to why their presences are warranted so far from home -- and in a location so eerie and enigmatic, and foreboding.

a snarl contorts the babe’s facial features as her mother’s demand permeates the temporarily silent atmosphere, hackles prickling duly upon the length of her serpentine spinal column as indignance breeds and festers within. and her vermillion gaze drifts toward the veiled forest as she exhales a disdainful snort, rolling her shoulders in an unperturbed manner as her mother unleashes a curt summons for someone unknown. “monsters won’t eat me; i’ll eat them! the sovari huffs assertively as her mother’s howl subsides, attempting to retain beguiled composure even as trepidation worms through her conscience. however, the viper is quick to shuffle closer towards her mother’s right forelimb -- just in case any monsters do manifest with the intent to devour her.

He was lethargic in his movements, holding himself with the demeanour of a slave boy rather then that of the prince he had been born to be. Awoken from his slumber far too early for him to enjoy their outing the child would slink and slither behind the feminine members of his family. Eyes were slack, dead as his nose hung low and trailed just above the ground. Tail would drift like a banner at half mast behind him as dual coloured eyes took in the very opposite demeanours of both his mother and littermate. He would not attempt to surpass them, to frolic and explore like other child his own age might but instead would march along in line like the good little pawn he intended to be. Despite slackened and almost empty gaze the boy was watching, allowing senses to roam beyond their immediate vicinity in an attempt to figure out where it was that their mother was taking them exactly. It was some time before the silver queen would halt just on the outskirts of a forest, fog curling along the edges as if held in by a force field. Eyes would move from their fixation to his mother as she spoke a warning. Monsters… Dahlia of course would boast the ability to eat them but Aster would remain silent, slowly slipping behind his sister to position himself in between his mother and sister. He would protect them...

The voice of a stranger would have his dark crown shooting upwards, ears careening forward and body quivering with excitement. There had been so many visitors lately! Though most of them his mother had ended up attacking because they had trespassed. He didn't entirely understand the concept, all he knew was his mother did not want those wolves here, so she had promptly chased them off. But this wolf, this one was calling for his mother. With a look at his mother, not waiting for her words, he would shoot forward, legs clumsily carrying as fast as possible towards the edge of the forest.

He got lost a few times, losing his sense of direction, but he would finally make it. Skidding to a halt, he would find three strangers. One was as big as his mother, though she had pretty designs on her face. And the other two were pups! He had yet to meet pups that were his age. One was dark, and was bigger than he was with mismatching eyes. The other was a girl, who was just a pretty as the big lady sitting beside her. His silver gaze would inspect all three before he spoke. What are you doing here? He would demand, head lifted high along with his tail. Mom didn't want anyone in the forest, so he would let no one in. A frown would pull at his lips, dark brows furrowing in a silent demand.

“here to enthuse of war, no doubt,” is the enigmatic croon proffered to her solicitous little titan as the phantom’s rugged physique emerges from a veil of mist, tendrils of fog duly coiling about her ankles to refine the illusion of floating. yet her glacial stare is engrossed in the silver wraith’s coral gaze as the deity maneuvers within closer proximities to her unanticipated company and adjacent to her son’s left side, her poise malignantly composed in contrast to the boy’s inherent hostility. and rigorous pupils briefly divert from their fixation upon the monarch’s own as her attention is abruptly ensnared by the lingering babes defiantly placed at their mother’s forelimb, their infantile exteriors suggesting an age similar to her own budding progeny. a singular brow ascends upon the tyrant’s mutilated forehead with tacit inquiry as her frigid gaze unites once more with the arcanum sovereign’s own, mild curiosity discernible through the faint expression etched upon her disfigured countenance. “cataleya,” is the curt greeting the elysius extends toward the silver herald, silently bading the woman to explain the reason for her summons as silence proceeds her apathetic vocalizations.

ooc- we could break off into a kids thread so they can play and art/cat can chat

Children.... Her daughter would proclaim that she would devour the monsters in the forest, not the other way around. A smirk would adorn dark lips as she peered down at her child. Her pride and joy. Or one of them. Though her youngest daughter had by far sprouted into a little hellion. Aster would follow, as silent and brooding as his father, sitting between herself and his sister, her silent sentinel. Both would sit obediently beside her, Dahlia a tad closer, an immediate give away to her fears of the monsters.

A the familiar thud of puppy paws would pull her attention to the mists, curiosity spiking. They would be greeted not by the pale tyrant, but rather a child. His silver gaze immediately gave away his lineage, but his ebony pelt starkly contrasted his mothers. Hostility rolled off his tiny frame as he demanded to know what they wanted. Again she would smirk, soaking in the boy. He was about as old as her own children, suggesting that Artemis had been the pregnant the same time she had. Interesting... She had never envisioned the woman as a mother.

The voice of his mother would pull coral gaze upward, eyes dancing with unspoken questions and interest. Mismatched gaze would land upon her own children, faint interest sparking to life on her scarred features. Silent questions hung between them, neither had expected such baggage from the other. "Artemis." She would greet the wraith in similar tones. "War is always on the horizon, its simply a matter of where." Lips twitched in vague amusement. She would give nothing away for now, keeping her plans to herself.
