For so many nights now sleep had welcomed her dreamlessly. She’d fall completely unconscious and slip away to nothing to escape the real world. Gradually over the months it was getting easier to accept her parents death, accept the fact that like Frith had stated, life would go on. She would always miss them though, that much she was sure of.

Tonight however it seemed there was to be a shift in her routine. As usual she’d curl up beside her mate, eyes would close and sleep would eventually beckon her. There was light though this time, and scenery that awaited her not the recent black. She was dreaming, of course such a thought wouldn’t occur to her immediately though instead she would simply go along, walking and admiring the beautiful landscape laid out before her.

It was peaceful, perhaps more so than the usual black, nothingness but equally there was a sadness that would grip her as she realised something. This place, it reminded her of Ahlon.

She supposed this was exactlly what heaven was supposed to be like, the woman felt and looked young again. They had been returned to their homeland, and though the inhabitants wree not what she had expected they brought smiles to her face. Dutiron's sister had come to greet them as they found themselves within this spiritual world, and Descant had been quick to follow. Of course only joy would fill her as she walked through the peaceful valley with Dutiron at her side. Now they would wait for the rest of their family to find their way to this place.

Though she hadn't quite expected to see Novella so soon. The sound of paw steps would cause her to raise her head from the ground, her dark eyes falling on her daughter as she made her way through this dreamland. She couldn't help but smile at the sight, not realizing the distress their not so sudden departure had caused the rest of her family. Pulling herself to her paws (painlessly!) she would approach her daughter's ethereal form, "Novella.." She would call out, seeking the attention of the woman.

Dutiron had always longed to believe that a heaven of sorts would exist for the afterlife. Perhaps it was because his parents had died whilst he was young, he longed to believe there was a chance to meet them again and indeed it seemed it was possible. Whilst there had been reunions with his own family however, no such greetings could be said for any of Novel's. A blessing in some ways though not all had the cruel heart of their father, some like his dearest Novel had taken a lighter path in life.

A nice aspect of dying was to be back in his prime. Whilst he had simply looked forwards to eternal sleep ending his illness it seemed it had ended any sorts of pain at all. He hadn't realised just how much he had aged if he was honest, a spring once more to his step he felt young and even alive again. This place was rather wonderful, perhaps even better than he could have hoped for in the afterlife.

Apparently not all of Sominium's secrets had been discovered by the pair. Now they would learn that they could be visited by their family at least he prayed that was the reason Novella was there before them now. He too would push himself up with ease and walk beside his mate as they moved to greet their daughter.

As if a landscape so alike her place of birth had not been enough the girl would soon hear her name called out and turn to find the forms of her parents. They looked better than she had remembered them for a while, and she was half surprised to find that she was fully grown herself, not a child with her siblings running around her. This dream wasn't some memory then, though she still didn't believe it to be any sort of reality just yet.

Truthfully she wasn't sure whether to enjoy what sleep was presenting her with or be sad that her mind was torturing her in this manner. Strange as well was the fact that here she was debating over the emotions over what to do with herself. It was an incredibly lucid dream, one she could say she'd never had the chance to experience before. Right choice or not she certainly couldn't deny a moment with her parents even if it was in a dream. She'd feel horrible come morning when this was taken away from her, but for now she would enjoy this.

"Mum, Dad." She greeted them warmly, pausing as they finally reached each other and reaching out to nuzzle them. Though so much of this dream felt so real, she would be disappointed to find that the touch now did not hold the same feeling, something seemed to be missing.

Dutiron would join at her side as they made their way to the daughter, not for a moment would she believe that the girl had died, she was too insubstantial to have found a permanent residence here. Still, she felt a feeling of warmth, happiness and completion at the sight of Novella. She had no idea what might happen when she left, but she knew that she and her husband would enjoy their daughter while they could. "Novella," she would repeat as she was able to touch the girl's frail being. She did not belong here, that much was obvious, but how long she would stay was the question. This was no permanent thing, that much was quite obvious. More questions would rise, though she doubted she would receive any answers. Why was she here now? How long would she stay.. and how had she even arrived? Not that she was complaining, to see Novella again was a blessing as much as she was sure it was to her daughter. Their departure had surely brought her distress.

Novella seemed a little stunned to see them as well, though she would move forwards to greet them as she always had done. He too would welcome the affectionate touch, as close to it as they were able to get now it seemed anyway. The similar questions would haunt him, hoping that this wasn't for some reason his daughter here to join them. It simply couldn't be true. Novel wouldn't question it out loud, and Dutiron would take it upon himself to utter the words of curiosity.

"What are you doing here?" He questioned, some concern seeping through into his voice. There was certainly a mixed emotion about seeing her and his mind simply couldn't settle upon one feeling until it was clear that she was ok, he couldn't bear to think of the other possibility. "You're ok aren't you?"

The dream, as if it wasn't odd enough would only prove to get stranger still as her father enquired why she was here and whether she was ok. Honestly she wasn't entirely certain how to answer the question, it was a dream did it really matter why she was here and could she really be sure whether or not she was ok? Right now she supposed so, at least she felt alright anyway and in real life her only qualms were ironically enough that she couldn't stand here and have a conversation like this with her parents.

"I guess so." She responded, the uncertainty surely showing through in her tone, at least enough that one of her parents was bound to pick up upon it anyway. "But I'm just dreaming." She hadn't actually meant to speak that part out loud, but somehow the thought found itself being spoken. Apparently there wasn't quite as much control in this dream as she would have thought. What was going to happen next then she wondered.
