Eventually Athena would let them go to explore their new home, he'd found the place interesting upon first inspection. However hot it made him feel. Though he had found that the many water features were a pleasant way to cool off, the hot spring were only enjoyable during the cooler nights. This was one of those nights. With a gentle nudge Bacc would aim to stir his brother from the slumber he found himself in, they were the only two really close enough to the entrance to escape with out alerting either mother. Would the other boy be as eager to go and enjoy the hot springs? He hoped so, there was a lot he would have really liked to discuss with his brother and the springs were calm and mesmerizing. A perfect place to calm himself and actually think. With another nudge Bacchus leaned down to his brother's ear, "Come hang out with me," He'd tell him before slipping from the entrance, the cool of the night air greeting him. The marked boy would wait patiently for his other brother, but wouldn't stay forever. He was going to the springs if he Archelaus wished to or not.

The warmth was not appreciated by the young Armada boy. He missed the snow, the icy terrain that he had called home. The cold conditions were the only he'd known prior to leaving and whilst he of course missed the pack itself, and still felt bad about the loss of Roman, Archelaus would not admit such things allowed. He had however complained a little about the heat enough that Bacchus would be willing to share his little revelation about how to cool down.

"I'm trying to sleep." Archelaus muttered back as he was nudged by his brother. The nights were slightly cooler, it made sense to try explore a little more then and without the watchful gaze of their mothers wondering what they were up to. He just wanted to sleep however, getting up didn't seem appealing, he was rather comfortable at the moment.

Bacchus wouldn't give in so easily unfortunately. Archie would find himself nudged again and this time words would accompany the action. Why now? He was trying to sleep! He'd gone outside now, one red eye open and watching. He told himself he'd go back to sleep but curiosity won out it seemed. With a small huff he'd heave himself to his paws, glancing back at the sleeping forms of the rest of the family. "Lucky" He muttered under his breath as he slipped outside. He'd have to make sure he squeezed in somewhere closer to their mothers tomorrow, just in case Bacchus had trouble sleeping again. Now he simply looked to his brother, waiting for some explanation as to why he had been disturbed.

The first nudge had done little more than to hardly disturb his brother, he would in a rather annoyed voice, make known the fact that he was sleeping. Bacchus had no feeling of remorse as he nudged his brother once more before leaving the den. Fine, he could stay if he wanted. Bacchus was still having trouble keeping his own sleep regular. If he wasn't careful he'd be sleeping when everyone was awake and be awake when everyone was sleeping. Not that he knew how to cure his insomnia. Ever since they'd moved here sleep had been hard to come by. The nights were too warm and the scents to unfamiliar. Maybe he'd eventually get used to it, but for now he'd struggle with staying asleep.

He was surprised at how much time went by before his brother's form became visible in the moon light. Bacchus would smile softly, thankful his brother wasn't so against spending time with him. Though now that they were actually together he wasn't so sure about spilling his thoughts. "Have you gotten to see the springs at night?" His question was quiet as his feet started moving in that direction. "It's a lot better than during the day." He'd finish as his pace became more rhythmic and purposeful.

Tossing and turning in the heat of the South, you were lucky when you got to sleep. Archelaus had found it and now been unfortunate enough to lose it, his brother for some reason wanting to disturb the peace. He was still sleepy when he finally rose, slowly trudging out into the moonlight and certainly not the happiest of fellows as red eyes watched Bacchus. It didn't help when no immediate explanation came either, the darker of the boys suddenly turning and starting to walk away.

Archie was tempted to head back inside the den at that point, eager to head back inside. Of course though Bacchus would soon begin to speak, not the most thorough of explanations nor one that particularly thrilled the silver boy. "You woke me up to see the springs? The hot springs?" He hadn't spent much time around them at all, the name and the one or two warmer pools he had felt certainly not making him think the area was somewhere he particularly wished to be.

He wasn't really sure why it had been Archie he'd awoken, he was the closest to the door, but surely that was not his only reasoning. He could have gone to think by himself, but really he'd though Archelaus would have enjoyed the trip with his brother. He had actually been quite wrong in that. His litter mate would drag his feet, though something had to be said about his loyalty. Obviously not really wishing to come he had left the den of his own free will. Bacc would become fully aware of his brother's displeasure through the tone of voice he used when Bacchus told him where they were going.

Mismatched ears would fall to his skull at the rebuttal, but he'd stop and look back to Archie. "You don't have to come with me." He'd admit, with an apology in his voice, "I just.. needed someone to talk to." His voice would grow a bit softer as he took his gaze from the other boy. He'd sigh, not looking back but heading towards one of the cooler pools to think. Either his brother would follow, or he'd go back to sleep. Either way Bacchus would refrain from passing judgement on the other's decision.

Archelaus loved his family really though wasn't exactly cheery when he first woke up especially not in instances that he hadn't woken up on his own accord. Instances like this for example, he liked his sleep and disliked being disturbed from it. Bacchus would succeed in giving him a bit of a guilt trip, his apologetic tones and pleasant words despite how grumpy the silver boy was being. It would calm him slightly though he still wasn't sure this was quite the greatest idea in the world either.

With another sigh Archie would follow behind his brother. "Hold on, I'm coming." He responded, still slightly begrudgingly as his steady steps continued. He'd go but he wasn't going to hurry. It wasn't just the heading to the springs that he wasn't all that eager for to be honest, but the idea of talking as well. Talking was fine, but the fact that he'd been woken up in the middle of the night for a talk left Archie with the impression that this would be a far deeper conversation than the boy was particularly comfortable with.

His brother Archie was probably the least likely to want to have a heart to heart conversation, and even though Bacchus knew this quite well he had still dragged him along for the ride. After his apology it seemed Archelaus was more willing to follow along, and his voice would make his intentions clear as Bacchus slowed himself and waited for his brother to show up at his side.

His pace was easy as he glanced appreciatively at his brother, he would try to make it worth his wile, at the least he would appreciate the colder pools he found.. right? He'd remain quiet until his mismatched paws brought him up to the water, it was rather still and almost completely cut off from the other warmer pools. "I think you're gonna like this." The humidity wasn't quite as terrible that night, but Bacc could still feel it. The heavy air made his fur stick to him in the most unpleasant of manners. Eagerly he would slip into the cool water, relief was immediate as his expression would show it. A content sigh would leave his throat as he waited for Archie to follow.

Archelaus would remain completely silent now as he followed his brother. A small non-committal 'hmm' would sound as Bacchus informed him this was something he would probably enjoy. He still wasn't entirely convinced and still preferred the idea of sleep and not having been disturbed from it. For his brother's sake though he would continue with no further argument.

Maybe the heat simply was part of the problem behind his bitter mood. If that was the case then perhaps Bacchus really would help him feel a little better. With no other word or explanation Bacchus would slip into the water. Honestly Archelaus had never been fond of swimming. In the North there had been no need for it after all, climbing into the icy water was foolish really in the already cold lands and he hadn't yet discovered the benefits of a little dip in the Southern lands. He wasn't an idiot though and understood enough that the idea was for him to join his brother in the pool.

One paw would dip into the water first, pleasantly surprised by the cool temperature of the water. Given they were in the hot springs he certainly hadn't anticipated anything but warmth from the spring, even though Bacchus had seemed rather content as he lowered himself into the water. He would follow suit wordlessly, not quite wanting to admit his brother had been right; this wasn't so bad after all.

Arch would hold no further argument as he followed behind his brother, and as Bacchus grew more comfortable in the water his features would shift to see the other boy testing the water. He wouldn't say anything, but would observe boldly as Archelaus slipped into the cool water. Still no words would stretch between them as his silver brother grew acclimated, there was no disagreement with his claim and that was good enough for him. When his litter mate got comfortable Bacchus would go on with what he'd intended. "I saw dad." He'd start, but he wasn't sure where to go from there. How much did Arch know about the reappearance of Vereux anyway? "So did Ama." He'd sigh, "I don't think he'll be around much.. but wait do you know anything?" Had Archie gone and seen their sire too?

Archelaus wasn't quite certain what to really expect from this evening. He had no idea why Bacchus had really woken him, what he might wish to talk about though their father was certainly not on that list. He couldn't help the emotion that showed as Bacchus mentioned he had seen their father, the if only for a moment the shock evident upon his features. It'd soon turn to a frown however, thinking upon the words and his brother's question. "I didn't even know he was around again." Archelaus would confirm. This he could talk about as long as things didn't get too emotional.

He'd stop as the shock showed quite easily on his brother's features. He hadn't picked up on the man's presence. Arch's words would again confirm that he knwe nothing of the goings on. "Hey, um.. father is alive." With his mismatched ears to his head he'd look back to his brother. "I saw him," He didn't know how much he actually wanted to say now. Really if Archie wanted the whole story he needed to go to Amalia. "You should talk to Ama about him." Bacchus would grow quiet again as he let the cool water swirl around him. He could have fallen asleep here if he didn't think he'd fall in and drown.

Archelaus had been rather sleepy, perhaps could have allowed the drowsiness to claim him again though now he was too awake, this new revelation that his father was around and alive was certainly a shocking one. They had mourned the man's disappearance, of course hoped he was alive though feared that he wasn't. Either way his vanishing had left them in a state of sadness and now suddenly he was back. Was there any sort of explanation for it at all? Why hadn't he come to see them? There were certainly a number of questions within his head now, he tried to seem non-nonchalant though that moment of surprise was still worn slightly upon his features. He wouldn't say a word though on this occasion, as usual keeping it all in and a part of him debating about whether or not he would or even should speak to their mother Ama about the man.

"When did you see him?" A question would eventually slip from his lips as red gaze fell once more to Bacchus. He had steadied himself, recovered from the moment of shock and would regain composure once more. The question was a harmless one he felt, that couldn't get too emotional.

Seeing his father had indeed been a shock, to know that after all this time he hadn't perished.. it was weird. He didn't know if he should be happy or upset, he was glad his father was not dead at least. He'd shown him the importance of being strong, to be able to defend yourself and your home. Bacchus knew that he needed to train, to get strong just like Vereux said. So he didn't lose his family too.

He could see the questions roll through his brother's mind, though none would be spoken aloud as Archie sat for a long moment. The only inquiry a simple one of 'when'. The silver boy was steadied, though shock still very much evident. Bacchus hadn't meant to disrupt him so fully. "The day before yesterday." He'd answer back, wondering if that really would be the only information his litter mate wanted.
