Freedom. He was finally free.

Life may not have went back to normal, Quintus and Cassuis he still hadn't seen and Isolde may not have known of their mother's new pack. Too sad to say that her children were taken from her, but no one knew that around here. Caeto felt free again. And he could have a period of that once more.

He would travel just outside the pack, finally being able to not be scared of coming back and thinking he would be mauled if it was too late. Though that never happened, the wolves of Arcanum sure had it in his mind that they all wanted blood. He would make to a part of the river where you could see the beach ahead before taking a seat and admiring the view. He loved the beach, he loved the east, and he knew or at least hoped this wasn't a dream and he wouldn't wake up anytime soon.

SOMETIMES IN MY TEARS I DROWN

but i never let it get me down

He had gained maybe a pound in the several days since his return. It was a pitiful gain, but a gain nevertheless. His mother would be proud, had he thought to tell her. Odds were she wouldn't notice, as the skin still hung slack around his midsection and he still looked an absolute hot mess. He had decided it was time again for a bath, and as much as he had grown to abhor the water he knew his mother wouldn't like it if he looked disheveled all the hours of the day. And so, quite reluctantly, he moved toward the delta. He had been here once before, maybe twice, and it was close enough to Fiori that he thought he could find his way back if he really tried. Jaws fell slack to release a medium sized stone from the confines of his maw, leaving it in his wake a few hundred yards from Fiori's border. He would march on, occasionally dropping another stone here or there, as a marker for himself. He didn't trust his navigating skills, it was the same set of skills that had gotten him into heaps of trouble in the past. Finally, when he was void of stones and could hear the delta in the distance, he picked up his pace - continuing in a straight line. Five hundred one, five hundred two, five hundred three... Yes, he had found that if he set off in a straight line and counted his paces he could manage to turn around and go back the same way he came (following the stones, of course) with very little trouble. He lifted his head up at last (for he very rarely walked while looking anywhere but at his front paws) and noted the figure of another. The other was cloaked in a familiar looking coat, and for a moment the breath caught in his throat. Caeto was there. He halted, having forgotten what pace he was on. There were no stones left either, and so he froze momentarily, evaluating the situation. Would his brother want to see him? His mother certainly had wanted to see him. He continued staring through bi-hued eyes, occasionally drawing in a ragged breath to sustain his current state of consciousness. Finally, when he felt particularly brave at approximately twenty feet away, he found himself uttering (rather quietly, of course) his brother's first name. "Caeto."

The woman hardly ever wandered away from home, not since she had finally found her place among her mothers pack. But today she got bit by the walking bug, and just simply wanted to explore. She crossed the river that cut off Fiori's lands from the rest of the East, wadding through the most narrow, calm place that she could find. It was almost spring, the rain had slowed and the sun was providing much more warmth. Another season, and a fresh start for her and her boys. Or so she hoped. The return of Vereux was an upsetting one for her, her family had just gotten over the pain that his absence had called when he wandered back in, trying to pretend that everything was quite alright. She huffed, shaking out her damp fur as her paws landed on solid earth once more. She just hoped that it wouldn't change her boy's view on her, or make them feel any different towards her. She would surely die of a broken heart if they did.

Once she reached the delta she glanced around, dark blue eyes surveying this new area. She hadn't wandered too much in the North, it was far too cold for her tiny body. But here it was much warmer, and she felt comfortable enough leaving her babies within her mothers pack. She knew that they were safe there, and that no harm would come to them. They were old enough to know that by now -- she hoped. Letting out a soft sigh, her ears suddenly perked when she heard a soft name whispered on the wind. Straining to pick up the name, she suddenly froze mid step, gray paw lingering in the air. Had she heard that right? Caeto? She had not seen her litter mate for a long time, for far too long in fact. Picking up to a steady trot she followed the source of the sound, coming in between the two men of her family. Amalia let out a gasp, her eyes flickering between the two. "Caeto! Cassius!" she called. Cassius was the closest one to her, and she raced to his side. Skidding to a stop she nuzzled fiercely into his neck, burying her features within his two-toned coat. When she pulled back she noticed just how skinny he was, and her smile quickly turned into a motherly frown. Her gaze shot up to his face, brows pulling together. "Don't make me shove a moose down your throat, brother dearest," she scolded, but it didn't last long. A grin split her lips again as she placed a kiss on his cheek, little rabbit tail making her rump wiggle along with it. "I can give you some herbs if you like, that will make you more hungry," Amalia offered sweetly.

With one last kiss on Cassius' cheek, she turned and raced towards Caeto. She came at him at a more head on position, and when she tried to stop her still damp paws slid across the earth. Eyes grew wide as she slid towards her brother, falling to a rump to try and stop herself before colliding with his chest. But she was rather too late, and her tiny chest slammed down against him. Letting out a giggle she rolled over her spotted brother, picking herself up and dusting off before trotting to his side again. Pushing her nose to his cheek, she let out another sweet laugh. "Oh how I have missed you two! Probably not the best way to show it but... Hi!"

A voice would make his ears flick backwards, twitching a moment before being able to turn his head to the sound of his name. The voice was far from familiar, and his brother's appearance had a bit of damage too but his color was all Caeto needed to know who the man was. He picked up his back legs just enough to spin his body around and look at the man with a tiny smile, at least a big one for him. But before he could open his mouth to say anything, his older sister would also come to greet them.

Caeto hadn't been in the new family lands long enough to reunite with the family who had seemed to be lost to him. His older sibling were definitely distant in his memories but they were still there and they were still family. It was just Quintus and of course his father that he had failed to meet up with and they both were off everyone's radar.

Caeto sat back and watched as Amalia affectionately greet Cassius, a bit of a space out took place as he tried to think of his young days when he was with them. And that was quickly interrupted by Amalia's face just in front of his with a collision between the two. Caeto would roll with his sister, raising easily with a playful smile obviously glad that they could meet again, no matter how it was. He wouldn't be mad, he was looking up on things after all.

"You could take it a little easier next time." he joked, keeping his eyes on his sister a moment after speaking his next words but dragging to Cassius halfway through, "But you really could use more than one moose down your throat." Still in a joking matter but it sure was true.
