The fact that he hadn't found Caia yet was both disconcerting and infuriating. There were only so many places in this godforsaken land that she could be, only... Well, the land was a bit bigger than he expected. How they'd gotten thrown so far off course was still a puzzle. No sign of her, no scent of her, and no word either.

More startling than anything else was that the wolves in this land were so.. sooo... drab. And small! Where was their color? Their patterns, their... LIFE! It was disturbing in a way that felt fundamentally wrong somewhere in his soul. This land was different, but all the same he had to find Caia, so he'd put up with the locals whenever necessary. Besides, this particular region was pretty awesome. The willow trees twisted and fluttered, their long fronds dusting the ground around him. The noise the made was soothing, and lulling him into a peaceful state. Maybe... Maybe Caia could come find him. Best plan would be to stay in one place, right? Make it easier? Or... something like that.

"Talk" "You" Think

NOTE: Caia,  Faria, and his children are allowed in all of Mithras' thread, regardless of their status. If you're threading with him, expect them as well!

Sometimes Mnemosyne came here to watch the willow trees 'dance', here, where the breeze blew without fail, and the long, billowing leaves were a beautiful sight to see. The grace and serenity of the swaying branches attracted the rambunctious youth, she enjoyed the comfort of the quiet every once in a while - but that wasn't the only thing that made her a frequent visitor of the area. The pond  guarded by the ancient willows was teeming with fish and frogs, ripe for the bite of her snapping jaws. It was always fun to run after the hopping amphibians or swipe at the flashes of scales she could see beneath the lily-pad covered water; she rarely caught anything though, the areas residents always being too fast or slippery, but it was the challenge that brought her back.

Today was not a day of chase however, today was a day of pondering and discovery! The current question requiring answer was what existed atop the willow trees; with her maw tightly clutching a bundle of leafy rope the fiery child tugged roughly. So far, nothing had fallen except stray leaves and quite frankly it was getting very tiring doing all this pulling with no result - Mneme was just about to give up, when the fruit of her labour appeared in the distance.

He was a glorious sight, celestial and strange against the tranquil scene of the willow trees; obviously the only explanation for his existence was that the leafy tree fronds were attatched to the sky and all her tugging had pulled a piece of it loose, a very starry, night-time piece. That piece of sky must have fallen down in the form of a wolf - Mneme was absolutely overjoyed.

Spitting the chewed clump of willow leaves free the child bounded towards the stranger, her pink eyes wide as she plopped down in front of him and stared at him intensely. She sat there for a long moment, studying what she believed to be her creation very closely, before she opened her mouth to question him loudly, "So, did you just fall from the sky or what?"
