for you i will
She hadn't fully recovered from the birth yet, and if he was completely honest he had to guess that she had almost gotten worse. He worried for her, but knew she was strong and would pull through for him and their family. He had no doubt that she would enjoy the time alone in the den as he wished to tempt Fate and Luck from the confines within.
Dropping the carcass at the door his deep vocals would let out an eager woof, calling the young children to his side. This was lesson one, and he couldn't wait to get started.

Both pups would feel the brightness of the sunlight despite their den being covered in tropical foliage. Having never seen the outside he had no doubt their little eyes would need a few long moments to get adjusted. "Good morning, my loves." He'd whisper to them as their curious expressions and words reached him. Luck's attention would fall on the rabbit he'd brought them, her question curious inquiring if it was asleep. While her brother was quite distracted by the fact that he was finally outside. He'd smile at them both. "This is food," He'd tell her as he looked to Fate, "And it really is, there's so much exploring we'll have to do." He'd tell the little runts as he sat down. "We can save the food for when we get back." They'd be ready for a nap afterwards for sure, and after expending all the energy they would have no problem accepting their new food. "For now, aer you two ready to go for a walk?"
Novella couldn't understand quite what was wrong with her this time. She had felt calmer, more rested and all together better throughout this pregnancy and even the birth itself though her strength simply refused to come back as swiftly. She was young still, age wasn't the issue here but she was certainly feeling rather worn down still. She would have been rather upset to know Frith was planning on sneaking off for the first outing, tired or not the woman certainly wished to see how Fate and Luck coped with their first trip outside. She would stir as the children departed to greet their father though she would still awake slowly and opened her eyes to discover she was alone in the den. Pushing herself to her paws, she followed pausing at the entrance herself and watching those first little explorations, she hadn't missed everything. She probably wouldn't join them on the walk to be fair, however much she wished to accompany them the rest alone would surely do her some good. |

Rising from the earth Frith would move forward to nuzzle Novella lovingly, but tenderly as he was sure she had somehow become more delicate over the course of the season. He'd nudged Luck to her feet and he would seek out the adventurous form of Fate. "Do you want to come with us, dearest? I figured you'd do well with the extra sleep." He'd ask his wife as he nuzzled into her neck softly.

Luck would venture closer to Frith whereas Fate was apparently more daring and opted instead to spread a little further afield, bounding around with more vigour. Novella watched the pair for a moment, eyes then falling to her mate as he spoke. A part of her certainly couldn't help but agree with his words, sleep and some time alone would surely do her some good and yet she didn't want to miss out. She could watch them now, watch their return perhaps would she be pushing herself too hard to try and follow? It was a possibility. Her gaze flicked back to the children again. So eager to explore, did she want to hold them back, taint the memories of their first expedition with their mother slowing them down? Maybe they would take after their grandfather, could develop to be avid story tellers, could return home and report their adventures to her later. "That might be a good idea." She confessed, though would push herself that little bit further from the den to move to her mate's side. "I'll just watch for now, wait for you to come back." Now little Luck would have her attention. "Have fun." She told them, nuzzling her daughter's head gently before looking to her son still eager to get going, she wouldn't catch up with him too easily it seemed. "And be good." |
