Solo hadn't been at the meeting. She hadn't seen him since she'd left for Pantheon and now that she had returned he was gone. She just wanted to cry in her make shift den. She hadn't gone back to the quiet tree the pair had shared, and she'd tried to keep her distress from the siblings that also took up residence in Ebony. Though she knew very well that she couldn't just disappear from the world like he had. Someone was going to notice her sooner or later.

She'd made her way from the little hole in the ground she'd claimed as her own, her pelt was dirty and disheveled as she sought out water to replenish her depleted reserves. She'd barely eaten anything but she'd been camped out by the lake long enough to stave off dehydration. Freewing, the small bird that Solo had given her, had been with her the entire time, though he had kept himself fed during her dark days. His bright red form perched upon her frail shoulder now as her thinned body made it to the edge of the water. Her once silver now dingy form would sink to the earth as she lapped slowly at the cool water. Her sightless gaze half closed with exhaustion. Why did everything have to hurt so bad?

All he wanted to do was curl up in his den to sleep.

Instead he wandered territory checking on the injured - blessedly few, thanks to the two Fiori wolves taking the brunt of battles, and the Abaven wolf taking care of the yearling who'd joined in the fray. In fact there'd been so few fights at all. Kass, Hephaestus... and Sindri and Sigmarr. A wave of guilt shook him - if he hadn't been the one to start the war, they would never have confronted Aerndis and put their lives at risk like that. Would they have?

A soft sound, maybe the lapping of water, maybe a sigh, drew him to glance up from his feet. Gaia. How unusual to see her alone - where was her hulking fiance? But as he drew closer his brow furrowed in concern. She was so thin, so ragged. What the hell? He bristled silently. Had Solo not been taking care of her after all? "Gaia?" he said quietly, coming to a stop beside her to curl his body around hers. "What happened?"

She would lay, completely broken, by the water when she heard foot steps. Not that she was eager to look and see who it was that brought themselves closer. It was so obviously not Solo's gait that she felt felt like she wanted to just throw herself in the water and be done with this life. She'd hear her name, and for a moment she debated about not even looking to her brother, but the feeling of him so close did comfort her despite how much she wished to deny it. Her features would turn towards him, the cried tears obvious on her wet cheeks as he asked her what it was that had happened to her. She would lean into his touch, more desperate for his touch than she ever thought she would be. "I think Solo left me." She'd offer quietly, she should have come to someone sooner but she had spent too much time hoping that he would reappear. "I haven't seen him since before going to Pantheon." Had Kass seen any sign of him since she'd left?
