Novella had been feeling much more like herself lately, those darker times seemed to be behind her for now and she focussed upon the happier points, the exciting moments that lay ahead for her and Threar. The first of which would be a welcoming ceremony for Fate and Luck. Such events if they were repeated in the future for other puppies of Threar would hopefully happen far closer to the children's birth though her own condition and the fact that this was a new idea meant it hadn't been possible for her own children.

She had encouraged the pack to hunt recently, to gather food for a feast though hadn't included the details of why. Some perhaps assumed it was simply to celebrate her health, she had settled back into her rank as an Author once more after all. Whilst this would be the first event she would call since before her depression had consumed her, today was about her children, not her.

Encouraging Frith, Fate and Luck to join her at the pack's usual meeting point, Novella would wait for them to join her before howl ingfor the rest of the pack, inviting them all to gather and with their food for the feast. She had begun a pile with a couple of rabbits that she had caught earlier that morning, what else would the pack bring?

It was a joy to see her mother rid of the depression that she had been suffering from in the past season. What miraculous timing as well! It was so soon after her discussion with her brother which only reminded her of the postponed trip to the North. For now, the thought was moved aside as her mother had other plans for the pack. They were to hunt and bring their catches to one pile for a feast. Varda had never participated in a feast and couldn't recall if Threar ever held one. Nevertheless, her mother's health was surely something to celebrate and so she would participate in this new event.

Since hunting was the field she held the most experience in (and the only field), capturing prey would be no trouble for her. She stuck with small creatures as they were easier to hunt down with only one hunter to do so. After deciding what was a decent amount of food to bring, she would be the first to arrive after her mother's howl with two squirrels and a hare proudly dangling from her jaws. Once her prey was plopped onto the pile of the other recently caught rabbits, she took a seat close to her mother. She really couldn't hold in her delight. "It's wonderful to see you've recovered."

Slowly but surely throughout the Summer Novella had been getting back onto her feet, small enough steps towards progress that at first Aslan had missed the signs of her recovery. These days there was no denying that she was getting better though, he'd seen her around the pack lands more and had even caught her familiar smile and a far cheerier tone to her voice than he had heard in ages. It was wonderful news the though she seemed to hint at something else exciting coming their way, Aslan was sure that nothing at all would beat the joy's of seeing his mother looking more well than she had in a long time.

He had been tempted to summon someone else from the pack to help hunt something special for the feast though after the last hunt, though it hadn't gone quite as badly as it possibly could have done, Aslan decided he was done with leading until he had gotten a little more experience under his belt. And so he set off to hunt something on his own. Now, though he had suffered a couple of harsh pecks that had prematurely removed a few tufts of his Summer coat, he had succeeding in catching a goose that had taken a nasty break to it's wing at some point before attempting to take on the wolf.

Depositing his catch upon the pile, Aslan made his way to join his family greeting them each in turn and sharing in Varda's joy that his mother certainly looked well now. "We have missed you around here." He remarked. Summoning the pack to feasts though, he could only assume she had taken her place as Author once more which surely meant things were finally back to normal.

Before even her father and brother got there, Luck arrived on clumsy legs, giggling gently at the sight of others. Varda and...what was his name? Hasan or something like that. Ah, she should know her own brother's name! She really did stink at remembering names...but, at least she remembered her older sister's name! Luck sighed quietly and made her way over to the small gathering of the three of them, squeezing between Varda and her brother and sitting between her mother's legs. She gazed up at her and giggled innocently. "Mama, where is Daddy and Fate?" She hummed quietly, her ears pining forward curiously.

Frost heard the call for a pack meeting and to bring food, now this was yet another chance to meet her pack mates and prove her hunting skills. She had found some birds and had made their death quick and efficient. She arrived at the place where three wolves had responded to the call, Aslan and Varda were there along with a pup who looked related to the one she had met at the pack hunt. The one who had made the call once again looked related to everybody else. She placed her kill of three medium sized birds on the pile, she walked over to the one who had howled, she gave a slight bow of the head and said "Hi, I'm Frost." She would then proceed to walk over to the side of Varda and sit down.

Félicien was overjoyed when he had heard the call of Novella ringing out over the lands of Threar to call the pack together. The fact the female was in better health lately was good news to all, and the young man was certainly relieved to see her back in higher spirits. Their family was recovering, holding strong, and someday it would once more expand. Threar would not fall, the Destructions would not fall. He would breathe in, loping towards the meeting with a light feeling within his heart.

Varda, Aslan, Luck, and Frost were already present, as well as Novella of course. The young man would tip his head to Novella, his eyes shining as he looked upon her. Yes, she certainly looked more like herself, now didn't she? "I can't help but wonder what you've been planning, Aunt Novella." He was grinning. Something was surely up, especially with the hunt that they had recently. He would sit himself down, gaze shifting to little Luck. She and her brother were a pair of cuties, that much was for certain!

The young child had been off exploring and learning in his own silent manner once more when the call for the wolves of Threar rose from his mother's throat. He grinned as he bound towards her, hoping that he would be wanted at whatever she was planning. He arrived, his eyes set carefully on his mother and sister as he grinned. "Hi mum! Hi Luck!" He would greet the two wolves that he had seen before settling down next to his sister in a sitting position. "Hi everyone else!" He piped up to the rest of the wolves around for the ceremony.

The chocolate alpha would follow after his mate, his chest at her rump as she took in the meeting place that came before her. Today was the day they would be gathering the pack to introduce them officially to their tiny new children and he couldn't have been more excited. His own catch was laying in the pile, he'd found a young deer with a very obviously broken leg. The creature had hardly put up a fight and was a welcome addition to their feast pile. Today would be a magnificent day. The whole of the family was coming together, for one they would be able to celebrate instead of mourn. Threar deserved this day. They were growing, in more ways than one. For so long they had only been surviving, barely able to keep their head above water. Now though, they had two new pups and two new members in the last season. Threar was growing and prospering. Frith would greet each member as they arrived, pride swelling within him as their children found their way to their parent's sides. He would nuzzle into Novella's neck. This was her time to shine, to show the pack that she had recovered and was ready to be the queen she was once more.

When the call came up for a celebration, Hecate gathered up all of her courage and ran to the scene. She was leaps and bounds ahead of where she had been a season (maybe a season and a half?) prior but she was still far from being like the others. She would arrive and take a seat at the back, shooting Frith, Luck, Fate, and Novella a kind smile before looking at her paws. Stupid her! She should have brought a gift for the new children. Her earthy toned body was rested in a relaxed way as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath just as she had been taught to by Frith when she was feeling overwhelmed. Her heart rate started to slow from the rapid beating in her best. bumbumpbumbump. She could hear it and it did not frighten her like it might have done once.

"Hello Novella and Frith." The young woman finally spoke up to an audible level in a greeting as her eyes fluttered open and her face flew up to look at them. This was strange. Normally she would have been running for the hills at that point!

A feast. Sorrel couldn't say he liked this idea too much. The pack was growing and no longer was it even contained to simply family. It had begun with Hecate, then that other woman Frost had appeared and just recently, though he hadn't met her yet Sorrel had heard of a new healer joining the ranks. Her position and skill didn't bother him at all, it was merely the fact that she was yet another strange face in Threar. Couldn't it go back to how it had all been just over a year ago? He'd much rather have had his parents and sister back than these three.

Sorrel was awkward, difficult to please and get along with. It was nothing against any of them. The unsociable man would unwillingly be dragged from his isolation now at the summons of the Author and trudge along to the meeting with a rabbit for the pile. Quietly as he could he would add the food and then slink off to sit quietly, Ellingham would deposit a few voles as his own contribution before joining the wolf at the back of the gathering. Féli was much too close to all the excitement for Sorrel to cope with today.

The pack would begin to gather many of them bringing food to add to the pile and many arising to greet her. In turn she'd greet them all certainly pleased to be in this spot once more, sharing the joy of her recovery with her family. Of course no clue as to what was happening would be given just yet, they'd have to wait for everyone to arrive first of all. As usual, Sorrel arriving was the likely clue that everyone had gathered and as he settled at the back, Novella would officially begin the meeting.

"Welcome everyone." She greeted them all warmly, casting her gaze across the pack. It was rather fortunate that Fate and Luck had chosen to settle themselves in front of her, no need to call them forth. "I don't wish to bore you too much so I'll jump right in with why we are all here today. As some of you may know, my recent litter were the first children born in Threar. I'm a little late announcing their birth, and introducing them all to you of course as many of you have met them, but this is a new tradition that I wish to start for any litter born in Threar. So please, welcome to the pack mine and Frith's children; Fate and Luck Destruction." She would glance down at each of the children in turn as she introduced them before looking back up to the rest of the pack.

Other faces, familiar faces of his family, would begin to fill in to the meeting as well. Little Fate would come in shortly after him with a cheerful greeting. Then Frith would slide in as well, coming to stand beside his aunt. Félicien's smile just grew wider, tail wagging back and forth in excitement. His heart would race in his chest, a happy whine threatening to escape from his maw. Seeing his pack gather like this, even if it wasn't as large as when Threar was part of Ludicael he was still grateful for every face that he saw, for every wolf he was able to get to know. Honestly though, the one that the boy had to be most grateful for was his twin. Sorrel was a sign of consistency, a sign of stability, and Féli would feel totally lost without him.

Speaking of his mirror, the boy would arrive shortly after Hecate. The last two had come to the meeting and the young man would slide from where he was, close to everyone else, just to fall back beside his brother and Ellingham. "Hey there~" The young man would bump his brother's shoulder gently.

Before long Novella would begin the meeting, speaking of the children. Fate and Luck, the latter one that he had yet to have the privilege to meet personally. He would sit, though his tail would continue to wag a mile a minute. "Welcome to the world you two~" Félicien would bark out. He was back to his cheerful self, the two sickness' he had overcome just memories now. All that was left was his future with his pack. With his family.

The female watched as five others arrived the young man she had met at the border came first. She had been meaning to ask what his name was but just hadn't gotten to it yet. Next was the pup she had met at the hunt earlier. Then came the Alpha and yet another wolf she didn't know, they were a mainly brown colored with black thrown in the mix. Finally there was a wolf she had seen at the hunt, he seemed to have the same colors as the other young man minus a couple of markings .There were so many wolves she didn't know yet, she made a mental note to introduce herself to them all eventually. When the head female started to speak, Frost listened. So the two pups were her and Frith’s, she presumed that Frith was the male alpha and that this woman must be his mate. Now that she knew the names of the two pups Fate and Luck there were two less introductions to be made.

It was late, quite late indeed. Almost a season had passed since the birth of the newest editions to Threar and if it wasn't for the dreaded depression that had befallen her mother, perhaps the celebration would have occurred earlier. Although Varda herself couldn't remember any feast to celebrate her own birth, she was certain Novella had announced it as a tradition of Threar, and she had been born into the former pack of Ludicael before it split apart. The matter clearly wasn't worth the fuss as she currently had younger siblings to shower with love. Her gaze looked down upon the smaller forms with an amiable smile stretched across her feminine features. In addition, there was quite alluring prey before her which made her purposefully empty belly rumble. Of course, all this food wasn't caught just for it to lie there wastefully. The point of the feast was to make the pups feel welcome into pack...and also eat (hence the name feast).

"Then...I call a toast," Her voice increased in volume so the rest of the gathered wolves could hear. Whether this was what happened at celebrations or not, she still continued with a confident cheer. "to Fate and Luck."

Aslan's own thoughts would have had to agree with Varda there, he wasn't sure that there had been a big celebration of their birth, not that it was a fact that even occurred to him or bothered the young Destruction. They had been born at a rather busy time, whilst Song had taken the reigns of what had become Sawtooth and whilst his own parents had been preparing for the divide of the pack and their creation of Threar not to mention trying to cope with being first-time parents.

No envy would befall him over the start of this new tradition, Aslan would happily join in the celebration for his new little siblings without a second thought. He'd already been part of a private little family gathering to welcome the pair into the world before their eyes had even opened and they were barely crawling around but he would not let that diminish from the happiness of the current festivities. "To Fate and Luck." He echoed his sister's cheer.

He was more than pleased to see Hecate appear as Sorrel brought up the rear. He'd smile as he leaned into Novella's side, her words finally coming to bring the pack together in celebration of the new lives they'd been blessed with. His wife wouldn't take much time in introducing their new little bundles, as well as the reason they'd gathered and brought their foods of choice. Feli, Varda, Aslan, they would all offer their greetings and a toast to the new little lives. They seemed to be taking the attention rather well so far. "To Fate and Luck." He'd beam down at the little pups at his feet, those same two pups that had once not even been the size of his paw when they were born. He'd take a chance to look at his other children as well, to see how much they had grown over the last year. He was proud of what he and his mate had created, more than he had ever thought possible he loved his little slice of heaven and the wolves that inhabited it.

The first time celebrating anything like this truth be told even Novella herself wasn't entirely certain what to really expect. It was something to pull the pack together, to truly invite the children as members of the pack and introduce them to the other adults, an extra benefit in the fact that they'd know who was around to help them when they needed it. Of course Fate and Luck had already met many of the members of Threar simply through their own exploring though this was a tradition that typically would occur as the children took their first expeditions outside, that was the plan anyway.

The pack certainly seemed to enjoy the festivities, smiles around and cheers let out for the two pups she would cast her glance down to them, joining in the joyful shouts though of course there was a pile of food and a feast awaiting them. Further chatter could happen over dinner. "I see many of you contributed to the feast, the food is waiting so lets tuck in!" Leading the way she would rise from her seat, and make her way to the pile of food to take the first piece and officially begin the feast.

Slowly wolves of all ages would start to gather, including Aslan and Varda, his siblings. He grinned at them, his tail wagging as the soft creme colored boy looked to his mother as she started to speak. She let freedom reign over the crowd to do as they liked and so Fate, naturally, went straight for the food. He grabbed something (perhaps a rabbit :3 something small) and sat down to gnaw at it while he observed his surroundings. There were not many wolves there that he didn't recognize. He knew his parents and sister/littermate. He knew Aslan and Varda. He knew Feli. He remembered hearing about Sorrel and he had seen Frost at the hunt. His eyes were on a seemingly shy woman whom he had never seen before. "Mum, who is she? I've never seen her." His tone was hushed as he galloped over to his mother. He had been under the impression that he knew everyone but he did not know Hecate.

His wife was quick to begin the feast, as they had all gathered with their prizes Frith too would walk forward after Novella taking his own meal into his jaws before returning to where they had been seated. He'd smile. It was simply amazing how far he'd come. From a simple loner who had never even seen a pack, to an established leader with a great pack and a beautiful family. He was sure that none of this would have been possible if Novella had not entered his life that night in the shrine.

He'd take a few bites of the meal before him before nuzzling his bloodied maw into his wife's fur. He'd try to catch her gaze as he gave her a little love. This was more than he could have ever asked for and she was the one to thank for everything. "I love you, my dearest. I hope you know how much." He couldn't help the smile that played on his face, she was his world and he never wanted that to change.

Settling down with her family, Novella would look back to her mate with a smile as he gave her a quiet little declaration of love. Had she just brushed any of those off in her broken state in the past season? She certainly hoped not but with some days so hazy there was a fearful possibility lingering within her mind that she may have done. "I have some idea." She responded, leaning into his touch. "I love you too."

Her youngest son would break her attention now, gaze flicking to him as he came bounding up with a question. Mismatched eyes looked briefly to the woman that he had mentioned her immediate guesses that it was either Hecate or Frost, apparently the former. "That is Hecate." She responded. "She's a Paperback at the moment so we all have to look after her. She finds it a little difficult being around others sometimes." She chose her words carefully. "Why don't you and Luck go and give her something to eat, help her feel included." Perhaps the fearful woman would find the children easier to speak with and of course it would give them a chance to meet the Paperback if they hadn't seen her before.
