He would find himself in a state of unusual wakefulness, the night was coming to an end. He?d feel a yawn emerge from his throat as he pulled his head over his paws. Fire and ice eyes would search for and rest upon each of his beautiful children, their still forms curled contentedly around he and Novella. The light of dawn would soon begin to show and an idea would slip itself into his mind. Softly he?d nudge his wife, hoping to bring her into wakefulness without disturbing their babies. He wanted to take her back to their crystal caves, they?d seen the sun disappear would it be as brilliant as the sun rising? His nose would nuzzle sweetly into her cheek, taking in her scent and smiling as he was reminded again that he had the privilege of being her husband.

Rather quickly she had settled into her role as a mother. The children were wonderful and from the day she knew of their existence she had begun to care, protect and love them as best as she could. Novella was certainly rather happy with her life at the moment, how could you not be falling asleep each night and awaking each morning surrounded by her mate and their children?

Though his stirring was rather gentle, Novella would still worry for a moment that something was wrong. Aslan, Varda and Herne still slept though and the early morning air was peaceful. Mismatched eyes would fall upon her mate and his own soft smile would confirm that things seemed to be alright and the worry would subside. But why was he waking her then? "Is everything ok?" She would whisper, certainly not wanting to disturb the children.

Novella really had taken to motherhood beautifully, he had every confidence in her from the moment he learned of their existence. Now she was proving herself, and he would be there every step of the way. Her happiness meant everything to him, and it seemed very much that they were fully successful in that right. Still, he realized no matter how gentle his touch he would always be able to startle his mate into wakefulness. She?d blink open her beautiful gems and softly ask what he thought he was doing waking her at the early hour. He?d simply smile, nudging her again softly as he stood. He?d carefully navigate around the three tiny bodies and his wife as he slipped from the den, his tail motioning for her to follow him.
He knew she would, so would pause outside the den. His tail would wag expectantly behind him as he waited to see her form before heading towards the falls. They hadn?t known each other for an incredibly long time, but he knew that she?d realize where it was exactly he was taking her. But the moon and the first signs of dawn he would navigate through the water and into the falls, making the rough journey to their secret hideaway.

Frith wouldn't answer her however and the girl would frown softly as she wondered what on earth he was up to. Carefully he would rise and begin to leave the den, motioning for her to follow. First she would check upon the children once more, all three were sound asleep and it was with confusion and nerves that she would rise and follow him towards the entrance of the den. There she would find him waiting for her.

The sky was certainly rather pretty though before she had a chance to ask him once more what he was playing at he would be off again. The path he was on led towards the falls, could he really be intending for them to visit their secret den once more? As much as she loved the space and missed it dearly could she really just leave the children? She would cast another glance into the den as she stood there. "Frith, What about the children?" They were fast asleep though the only occasions she had left them alone had been when they were in her mate's care, could she leave them completely alone now?

She would take her time leaving the confines of their snug den, her pure form slipping to the surface of the earth after what he guessed would be checking on their children. He?d smile, and expectantly turn to have her follow, but instead of feeling her side against his her voice would echo to his ears. He?d stop as he heard her, his form turning around to return to her side. She was much too worried about their sleeping brood. He?d nuzzle her affectionately, trying to soothe her worries with touch before verbally setting her mind at ease. ?You know their fine. We deserve some time alone.? He?d push his head against her neck, then would trail his nose under her jaw to place a sweet kiss on her pale lips. ?I?ll bet without us there to wake them they?ll sleep till the noon sun.? He?d give a slight chuckle as he tried to convince her away with him.

Frith it seemed wouldn't share her worries. As of late she had certainly turned into quite the worrier, throughout her pregnancy, the birth, the raising of the children, the leading a pack. Somehow through it all she hadn't completely fallen apart and kept her strength though now she would clearly show a mother's weakness a reluctance to leave her children. Frith would comfort her, soothe those worries somewhat as he returned to her side. A part of her couldn't argue with his comment, it seemed like it had been a long time since they'd been able to be alone and even longer since they'd visited their cave behind the waterfall and it certainly was tempting to spend time with her mate there once more.

"It's just..." She would break off with a sigh, knowing that she couldn't really argue it at all it all simply came down to protectiveness over them, reluctance to leave them. "We can't be too long." She warned him simply, giving in to his plans, she definitely didn't want to risk them waking up alone nor was she sure she could part from them for too long either. She would move again, still a slight hesitance in her step but no longer rooted to the spot as she moved alongside Frith, brushing lightly against him.

Novella needed to relax, he could see that much. Since bringing their children in the world she?d just seemed so tense. He couldn?t stop thinking of a way to help her calm down, and he hoped this little trip would help. She?d start to protest again, but would cut herself off with a sigh. She would admit defeat, making a bargain that they could not keep themselves from them for long. An excited grin would grow over his features as his tail would join in the excitement. It really had been too long since they?d visited their little oasis. She?d let him lead her away, her form staying against him as they walked towards the falls.
He didn?t think this was any less magical than the first time they?d found their way into the cave together. ?I promise, just the sunrise.? he?d say as he let her lead the way into their secret getaway.

It wasn't just since the birth, it was before that the worrying had started, only with them still contained within her womb it was impossible to lose track of them and worries more about hurting herself and them in some way or that she might mess up drastically as a mother. She had made it through pregnancy and birth though and so far she was doing ok, the worries still wouldn't quite ease however.

It was a shame they hadn't been able to visit their cave this season. In the bright Summer sun the crystals were bound to reflect the brighter light brilliantly, the already amazing colours surely would then intensify as well. Though she did miss their secret little place, part of the reason she was glad that she and Frith had been allowed to keep the falls she hadn't really thought about visiting or the differences in sunrise or summer. Her mind had been occupied with Aslan, Varda, Herne and Threar.

Frith would promise they wouldn't stay too long and would slip past the waterfall into their little hideaway. Easily she would follow him inside, mind of course still lingering on children and pack duties though already even she couldn't deny that she was glad to be here again.

He very much missed their secret retreat, had he not loved his children so much he might have regretted having them so early in their relationship. Time for regrets was long over, they?d started a family and they had a pack, they just had to live with the fact that their personal lives were no longer as important as their duties. Frith very much enjoyed being with their children, but the time had finally come that he and his wife spent time together.
He?d find himself unable to relinquish the smile that was being worn upon his features as he watched his beautiful wife slip into their cavern. He?d let the damp smell wash over him as the darkness overwhelmed his sight. He?d nuzzle Novella?s haunches as the first hint of the sun?s rays would begin to lighten the magical place. ?Welcome back my love,? He?d rumble as he trailed his nose up her side and into her neck lovingly.

Everything certainly had come rather quickly for them, one thing barging into their lives straight after another. Not a moment of it would be regretted but it sure hadn't been the smoothest stretch for a while. There was some sort of settlement in the chaos now though peace and quiet wasn't an easy thing to get, even as they tried to sleep they'd be met with 3 sets of paws digging into sides as the pups fidgeted in their sleep. She loved them dearly though she could understand already why eventually children had to find their own den, they were already growing so quickly.

Now though there was nothing but tranquillity as they made their way through to the main part of the cave, the soft glow of the crystals casting the gentle rainbows around as the first rays of sunlight pushed their way inside. A small smile would spread across her features as mismatched gaze glanced around the cavern and she would lean into Frith's nuzzles as he spoke. So he was right to have dragged her here, it certainly wasn't bad idea really. Shifting her positioning slightly, she would lick mate's chin, before nestling beneath it a little content sigh the only sound that would leave her.

He knew how quickly their children were growing, how beautifully they were developing into full grown wolves. All too soon he and Novella would need to start teaching them to hunt on their own, to fight and defend themselves, and how to heal should they or others get into trouble. There was no doubt Frith had every confidence that his children would achieve greatness someday, and he would have every intention of giving them the best start possible.
Now though, he knew they were safely wrapped up in the den, he could take his mind off of them and concentrate on relaxing with the woman next to him. He?d never dreamed that he?d have such a gorgeous other half, and he knew from the moment he?d met her he wouldn?t ever want to leave her side. He?d feel her lean into his nuzzles and he?s continue up her neck to behind her ears. He wanted nothing more than for her to relax, she deserved some time for herself.

Her own education as she grew had been a little relaxed. Her parents were very wise, that much she had always known but they'd been very reluctant to push their second litter after the damage they had done with the first. Already Novella could see that some sort of balance between the two was obviously needed and hopefully she would find that lovely medium with her own children. It certainly would be time for them to begin picking up little helpful bits of knowledge like this, they grew at a scarily quick rate.

Such thoughts however would be pushed from her mind now, as would anything to do with the pack, group lessons that would be expected to begin soon enough. The little cave was still the perfect getaway, their own secret little space that could be retreated to to simply escape the world. It was here that they had officially begun their relationship, confessing all feelings to one and other oblivious to how quick others would perceive their relationship to have developed. Even now Novella wouldn't care about the speed she had rushed into this new life, how could she complain with this wonderful man now at her side, her husband and father of her beautiful children?

The light continued to brighten in the world outside and the effect was wonderful with the rainbows starting to strengthen as well. "Alright. You win." She would declare softly. "It was a good idea." He likely already knew this fact but she would confirm it anyway. It was lovely to be back here once more.

The feeling of her next to him was something that the chocolate wolf could not explain. The feel of her warmth and her sweet scent in his nose he could hardly ask for anything more. He couldn?t ask for anything more because she was perfect, their life was perfect. Having Novella was so much more than he could have ever hoped for. He would notice the cave less and Novella more as the brilliance of the colors on her fur would intensify. He?d find himself sporting a goofy smile, as he took in the absolute perfect beauty of his wife. Softly he?d hear her forfeiting words, she would appease him, saying that he had indeed been onto something with his idea.
A soft chuckle would echo her words as he nuzzled the back of her ears affectionately, ?I knew you?d enjoy it.? He?d push himself closer to her, finding he was no longer content with simply sitting close. His left foreleg would wrap around her shoulders as he pulled her closer, kissing her softly as the cave continued to grow in brilliance.

She wouldn't quite agree with Frith's idea that she was perfect though their relationship, his companionship she certainly could not fault at all. They had fallen in love with each other so quickly and effortlessly and whilst everything had gone speeding somewhat out of their control there still was not a thing that Novella would change about it. She would continue to silently lean against him now, mismatched gaze still focussed upon their beautiful cave, unaware of Frith's attention fixed upon her. A soft smile would find it's way back to her features and he agreed, stating he knew she'd enjoy it and as she had already stated, the chocolate man was completely right. There was no problems with their tranquil hideaway either, the opportunity to relax together for a while. Lifting her gaze to him now as he moved closer once more, she would respond to his affections with loving kisses of her own.

Though their relationship had started in a hurry he really wouldn?t have had it any other way. He knew there was no other wolf he?d ever want over Novella, and being able to call her his wife was the pinnacle of his achievements. He hoped that his children would grow to reflect their parents image, and become the great wolves he knew they could be. He would look forward to their futures and living out the rest of his days with Novella. He?d chuckle slightly as her attention would be grabbed from the glowing lights. Though his original intent had been to enjoy them all he could think about was enjoying the woman beside him.
She?d return his kisses as he fully took her attention, his fire and ice gaze lingering on her smile and then her own gems as she returned his kisses sweetly. Did she realize how beautiful she was, and how much he loved her? He hoped so, ?I love you, Novella.? Deep vocals would confess once again as he slid his kisses up to her ears.

Her own parents had certainly had what Novella had always viewed to be a perfect relationship, with so much of their life spent together there was really no other way to describe it in her opinion and it was something that ought to be admired, a fact realised with the strains that her sister Song had gone through. She had never before been aware of the fact however that she wanted that same fate for herself, to spend her days in a happy, loving relationship. More specifically of course, for that had been the moment she had become aware of this desire, she wanted all of that with Frith. Her own beauty perhaps she was not quite so aware of despite the fact that he had stated such things to her before. His love though, that she was rather aware of and had been since their first trip to this cave. "I love you."

He?d never really been given a good example of what a relationship would be like. The only one he?d ever known was that of he and his mother. Through that experience though he?d found the truth of love and found how powerful that emotion could be. He had no intentions of ever leaving her side, he wouldn?t be like his own father. He would know his children, he would raise them all while being there for their mother. Novella was amazing, and he still had trouble believing that she?d settled with him. Again, they?d exchange those three words that meant so much. The first time they?d uttered them had been in that cave. As her simple whisper would filter through her lips he?d feel his smile grow brighter as he pulled her closer to his chest. She was his everything. Frith would take in her sweet scent and feel her soft fur on his nose as he nuzzled his features into her coat. Life was better with her by his side. Had he not met her he was sure he?d still be a nameless renegade searching the forests. ?I?ll never be tired of those words,? he?d whisper as he held her. They?d come for the lights, but all he wanted was to feel her touch.

So much for simply watching the lights of their crystal cave, Frith was quite the distraction it seemed keeping her attention despite the brightened glow of the cave signalling the sun had nearly finishing rising. She would shift slightly, welcoming his attempting to pull her closer as they uttered their soft declarations of love. Her gaze would remain upon him now and a small smile would find its way to her lips as he spoke. "Good. I won't either." She would whisper in response. "I love you." And she would repeat the words again for him as she reached up to nuzzle him, soft kisses placed upon his cheek.

He had no idea how much she was going to mean to him that moment they?d met, and he would thank his lucky stars that she?d found her way to his side that day. Where might they have been now had they not met? Their beautiful children would not exist and he surely would have never achieved such a title on his own. He felt like they completed each other in so many ways, their union was perfect and he would not be convinced otherwise. He?d keep her soft gaze as he pulled her in close, having her all to himself was a welcome change to their usual routine. Though their children were a worthy distraction he wanted to be able to enjoy his wife alone. She?d whisper those perfect words to him once more, slipping her own kisses to his cheek as they stood together within that very special cave. He?d chuckly softly at her words, ?I love you,? He?d nuzzle her cheek before moving to groom her ears tenderly. Her sweet earthy scent filling his senses as his skin grew warm at the contact with her. ?Be mine forever?? He?d ask softly as he felt himself grow restless beside her.

Now Novella didn't dare think about what her life could possibly be like had she not strayed for a walk and found Frith that night and had she not persuaded him to follow her to Ludicael. It was somewhat strange to think how much one little meeting had shaped and changed her life, it hadn't meant so much at the time, simply a potential member for the pack, he had been a lonely, mourning man in need of some friends to support him. She had been that friend, slowly but entirely growing into far more.

He had stolen her attention now, repeating the words once more back to her and requesting that she would be his forever. A soft smile would find it's way to her lips as she nuzzled him in response. "I do believe I've already made you that promise my husband." She responded. She had expressed it once when they had declared their love privately to one and other and surely their marriage was yet further proof she intended on keeping it. Of course it hadn't worked out for Song, Cherokee leaving without a word though Novella never cared to let the man wonder into her thoughts certainly not now as she enjoyed a moment with Frith.
