There was certainly quite the crowd that had gathered for the festival, as the first evening began to draw to a close Aslan started to make his way back to Threar lands, finding the idea of venturing home to sleep far more appealing than trying to cram himself in with one of the strangers around the Nook. Others had likely taken a similar view point. And apparently there were some, not even at the festival that had chosen to escape the crowds.

"You!" He exclaimed in shock, it was the mountain lion again, the same one he was sure of it. For a moment she froze, light eyes meeting the mismatched gaze of the wolf though apparently something over his shoulder caught her attention and once more drove her away from him. Aslan stood bemused for a moment until he too realised that they hadn't been alone. It was only his mother and whilst he of course trusted her entirely, he still chose not to share his little secret with her. Quietly he stood and waited for her to catch up to him, though a part of him certainly wished he could have followed the feline.

Her son's scent was still rather fresh, though she hadn't actually intended on following the boy home Novella was sure that she was doing just that; he couldn't be too far ahead of her. Even with that realisation however she was surprised, and perhaps a little concerned when she heard his voice, though there hadn't been any trouble at the festival so far, she was still a little cautious. Perhaps she had worried for no reason though, he stood there alone and silent now, seemingly waiting for her. "Is everything ok Aslan?" She questioned him curiously, mismatched eyes casting a brief glance around the area just in case there was anyone around.

It wouldn't take too long for Novella to appear and it seemed from her question and confused look that she may have heard Aslan's shout. Fortunately a quick idea came to mind, he wouldn't have to worry her about cougars or anything. "Yeah." He reassured her with a brief nod of his head. "I saw something moving and thought it might have been Regulus's little cat friend. I don't think it was though, whatever it was seems to have ran away." Of course what he had seen was a lot bigger than Cinders but he was telling the truth, it had been a cat and it had ran away. Hopefully all was explained to a satisfactory amount.

"Are you heading home too?" He questioned, moving the topic carefully away from felines and instead to an offer to walk back together. He would have done so from the start had he known his mother was heading back though truth be told he was glad for his little head start.

The excuse was indeed believable for the woman. She had noticed Aslan speaking with Regulus earlier though truth be told had almost forgotten about the little cat that had been glued to him herself. With no reason at all to doubt him, she wouldn't try to shift the conversation back to the matter and instead would answer his next question with a small nod of her head. The offer didn't really need to be extended for company, with both on the move again now their journey home began with little confirmation. With conversations falling back to the festival, the topic of the cat had been thrown from their minds, or had Novella's at least.
