Learning that spars had been one of the events planned for this festival had certainly caught Talvi's attention. She wasn't sure when she had last had a spar if she was entirely honest, had her skills grown rusty in her lax training schedule with the demise of the pack? She had once been organised, had been ready for any sort of training and now alone, all of that had fallen away, hopefully her skills had not deteriorated as well. She had no idea who this male was that she would be fighting, but it mattered little; it'd make the fight a little more challenging but all the more interesting. Lining up at the battlefield she called for him and awaited for the stranger to arrive before her.

The wolf would enter the vast field with a sense of joy, he loved fighting and this would be the perfect chance to hone his skills. He had come to the call of a wolf that was a couple inches taller than him, they were covered in mainly shades of grey and black. So, this was his opponent her height was the only possible problem that he could see. He would approach her and loosen the chain on his inner monster, it was finally time to release it. He would spread his legs apart and dig his claws into the dirt, “So, you ready for a fight?” A malicious smile would make its way to his face. His monster was struggling against its chains, and Kreft was ready to set it loose.

The man when he eventually appeared was not one that Talvi recognised, he bore the scent of a pack and seemed rather eager to get going. Whilst his timing could have been better, the latter she would be grateful for, not exactly feeling the idea of small talk or trying to pal up with anyone. Perhaps someone would prove to be interesting to talk to later, but for now she simply wished to get this spar completed. He was head on and only about four feet away from her, perhaps he sought to intimidate her in some manner though if that was the case it wasn't working. Talvi wouldn't give the brown toned man a verbal answer, instead choosing to answer with actions instead. With practiced ease she adjusted her stance, widening it out and evenly spreading her balance across all four paws, toes spreading out and gripping at the earth below them. Her knees bent slightly, lowering her stance and centre of gravity. Tail flicked smoothly into position behind her, aligning her spine, shoulders rolling forwards and her hackles raising. Her chin was dipped, protecting her throat and ears pinned back close to her skull. Her eyes were narrowed to protect them, lips curling into a snarl and scrunching the skin around her face. If setting her defences hadn't been a big enough sign that she was ready to fight, Talvi chose to try and close the distance between them and begin her attacks. Lowering herself even closer to the ground now, she would step and spring forwards and upwards, angling the left side of her body slightly closer to Kreft in order to try and strike his throat with the bony front of her left shoulder. She hoped to close the windpipe for a moment, interrupt his breathing and perhaps give him a coughing fit as he tried to regain that breath. Settling herself back to the ground, Talvi adjusted her stance and balance to distribute her weight evenly across her paws once more. Her jaws aimed for the fleshy section of skin above Kreft's left shoulder just as it joins towards the neck. The pressure behind the bite was light, this was supposed to be a friendly fight after all and she'd keep the damage to a minimum for now, aiming to only leave small puncture wounds behind. This woman seemed to be as eager to fight as he did, he would set his defenses in order. He left his legs spread apart and kept the equal balance between the four limbs, he narrowed his eyes and flattened his ears. His shoulders would roll forward and he would tuck his head down to guard his neck, he would raise his head and tail to align with his spine. He would deem his amount of defenses sufficient enough for a spar. The woman would close the distance between the two of them, he would dodge to the left to avoid the jump that she made at him. He would feel the female’s jaws close around his left shoulder leaving some minor punctures behind. He would start off his attacking with a paw stomp on her right paw with his left, he would then jump up a bit to try and nick her left ear. Kreft vs. Talvi Spar Round 1/2 ""

Kreft would sidestep her initial attack, though wasn't quite as quick at avoiding her bite. The placement of the bite was a little out from where originally intended, striking over the bone rather than the fleshier section she had originally hoped for. There would be no hopes of gripping there and she swiftly pulled her head away. Her defences remained in place, paws widened weight distributed evenly between her four paws and claws splayed lightly gripping the earth. Knees were flexed, her stance and centre of gravity kept low. Tail and head flicked into alignment with her spine, shoulders rolling forwards and her hackles still on end. Her chin remained dipped, ears pinned back against her skull, eyes narrowed and lips curling into that snarl again, the skin around her features wrinkling for further protection. His paw stomp was a waste of a move she felt, his left leg stretching awkwardly across her body to try and reach the paw furthest away from him. Perhaps without that initial sidestep he would have succeeded in reaching her paw but now it fell short, hitting the ground a few inches away from it's target, meaning that Talvi's paws remained unharmed. Her head, still low would have been an easily reached and yet he jumped into his attack like an excitable child. Talvi attempted to pull her head back out of his reach, though she did fail to completely succeed in that aim, Kreft's teeth grazing over her muzzle instead, leaving behind a small, shallow cut about an inch from her nose. Readjusting her weight mostly to her back legs now, Talvi aimed to lift her front paws from the ground, raising up to try and wrap her front legs around either side of Kreft's neck in hopes of limiting his movement, unsettling his own balance and making his further attacks a little more difficult. Her head would then twist, right side tipping towards the ground as she sought to bite upon the upper, left side of Kreft's neck. A relatively light attack again, not one that leave serious damage behind though she would have gripped to rip and deepen the bite in a serious fight and hoped to rest there for a moment to symbolise that fact. Talvi! Due to Kreft not answering in the required amount of time, the fight has been defaulted in Talvi's favor.
