SERAPHIM IMPERIALIS
Seraphim stood. His limbs ached and his head spun a bit, but he felt better. The burning fever had faded, the puking, the way he couldn't catch his breath... It had all been so scary, he thought he was going to die. Summer had passed him by, his first summer, all because of some stupid snake. He'd grown apart from the world, distanced by forces he couldn't control. He'd been laid up, but everything else had moved on. It was only fair, he supposed. He wouldn't want Angel or Eva to not have fun just because he couldn't only... Well, he had a lot of time to make up for!

The air of the den was cool and slightly damp. Autumn rains had permeated the land and brought on a crispness that he vaguely remembered from the season of his birth. He'd never known winter, but all of his elders said it was a harsh season. He was more than eager to embrace it. He made his way gingerly out into the world, his hulking frame unwieldy from lack of proper use. Maybe he wasn't ready to leave yet, maybe he would get in trouble, but Phim thought that if he stayed cooped up for one more moment he might go insane.
