Hello, and welcome to yet another fine adoption set up by yours truly. ME! I have three lovely siblings of my newest character, Eridanus Sterling, and they need dedicated players who will make them shine on Alacritia. Granted, I shall be very picky about who gets them, so here are a few small ground rules:
One: If you have adopted from me before, but have either left the site before and returned them to me, or set them inactive and I recalled them from you, I am not likely to re-adopt to you again. Particularly if a second chance was given and you set them inactive again.
Two: I reserve the right to take back characters I have adopted out if no activity has been made IC with them in a full month of time. (I.E: Last post was made on June 1st, and it is now July 1st with no activity in between.) I will brook no arguments with this. Sometimes you have to be the bad cop. Believe me, I can check for activity in their recent posts. OOC posts will not count as activity in my eyes.
Three: I expect a post a week at least with characters I have adopted out to you. That is just one post per week, three per month. It’s not that hard to do. I want to see them active, regardless of how my own activity is going. As these particular characters are independent adults no younger than three years, they do not need to depend on ‘Danus for their own activity.
Four: No characters or their designs that I have adopted out may be used on other roleplay sites, and any art made for them, either by myself or anyone else, if any must remain on Alacritis. If I find this rule has been ignored and broken, I will take the character back to adopt out to someone who will obey this simple rule. These designs are Alacritis-Only. End of Story.
Five: Lastly, any applications posted as Works In Progress will be ignored if they have not been finished by the end of one real life week (Seven Days). This is final. If you do not feel that you will finish a WIP application within this time period, please, do not post an application in the first place. For those who do, and truly wish to apply, please remember to fill in all fields in the Application form.
Thank you!
*Smiles pleasantly.* Now that we are clear, lets meet the siblings! I will outline a few possible ideas for them as I introduce them, based on what I felt as I was designing them. Also, I have tried to use real Cherokee for their middle/family nicknames, but upon finding that a lot of the names Baby Name sites give out aren’t truly valid, or don’t even mean what they say they do, I am doing more extensive research on Cherokee names.
Also, it is highly unlikely that any of them will be taller than 36". Their mother was 30", and their father was 36"
However, before we do meet them, here is a bit of the family’s background.
They were born in the great plains of the west, on a continent once known as North America. Their mother was/is a member of a tribe on the plains, and their father was a traveling male from another land, Greece. Their father wed into the tribe after having been nursed back to health by their mother following being trampled by a bison bull and gored, and this litter was born in Summer, in what will have been Year Two of Alacritia..
They would have begun training at six months, and their Cherokee names would not have been given to them until puberty, so yearlings. They will be most familiar with plains style of life, and likely be best at hunting bison in groups, than they will at bringing down a deer or woodland creature. Their tribe and general family are definitely plains-dwelling wolves, with structural builds for running and high endurance.
They come from a Native American religion via their mother and birth tribe (Research traditional Cherokee religions), however, will also have inherited Greek religion of the Olympian Gods, so they might choose either, or neither, or both.
Adornements among the Tribe they grew up in were not uncommon; such things as raven feathers on cords, or scar/tattoos dyed in bright colors for the fur to grow back in are not an unusual sight. Likely, any of these siblings might choose to have an adornment. It’s up to the adoptees, but such things must be purchased.
Eridanus chose to leave the tribe and travel the lands at the age of two, dispersing to find his own path. The siblings might have dispersed alone, or as a group, eventually, also seeking new sights and new opportunities in the big wide world.
Alethia ‘Dalonige'i Tsisdu’ Sterling Her middle/nickname among family and close friends, means ‘Yellow Bird’ in Cherokee. I see her as being determined and dedicated to whatever path she follows in her life, and being loyal to her family. She is the first born in the litter, and could possibly have a big sister complex; you know, where your big sister will pester and pick on you day and night, yet still be there to have your back in a scuffle with the schoolyard bullies, sneak you candy at midnight, and read you a bedtime story. As the only girl, this could make it twice the fun.
I have checked with staff (Thank you Evelyn <3) and her liver colored nose and pads are not considered an albino trait, thus will not require purchasing. Be sure to pay close attention to her eyes when writing up your appearance description for her. She has dual toned eyes. Don’t you forget it :P
For skills, if you choose to participate in that part of the site, I see her as a Hunter and Navigator.
Like the rest of her family, she will be fluent in Cherokee, Greek, English, and Latin. Other languages she might know are up to the adoptee.
Aristotle ‘Nvda Yonv’ Sterling His middle name/nickname among family and close friends mean Sun Bear in Cherokee. He is the third born, born after Eridanus. As you can see, he takes after Eridanus; scars, meaning he’s likely a big time brawler, always in fights and roughhousing aplenty.
Like his siblings, he has dual toned eyes, gold and reddish orange. When giving his description, I suggest making up stories of how he got all those scars.
In designing him, I imagined he would do best with the skills Fighting and Navigation, or Hunting.
Like the rest of his family, he will be fluent in Cherokee, Greek, English, and Latin. Other languages he might know are up to the adoptee.
Altair ‘Unega Wahya’ Sterling His middle/nickname among family and close friends means ‘White Wolf’, which surely suits him. He is the last born son of the litter. Like his sister, he clearly bears little or no scars. Pay close attention to his eyes. They may look white, but they are actually a dual toned pair of keen orbs. Clearest ice and palest silver.
I would imagine him as being the most spiritual of the litter, and fitting well with the skills of Healer and Intellect.
Like the rest of his family, he will be fluent in Cherokee, Greek, English, and Latin. Other languages he might know are up to the adoptee.

Now that you’ve met the siblings, it’s time for you to start writing! As part of my pickiness, I require:
Code:
[b]Name:[/b] who are you wishing to apply for?
[b]Alignment:[/b] Nothing below True Neutral, thanks <3
[b]Appearance Description:[/b] 200+ words of original, detailed description of the design, plus defining characteristics (fat, slender, short, you get the gist.).
[b]Personality Description:[/b] Again, 200+ words of original, detailed description. Maybe they have a quirk, like, Alethia only likes to drink water at sunset.
[b]Plans:[/b] What do you plan to do with the character you want? Are they set to move up in a pack and take it over someday, or are they content as a loner?
Again, please remember to fill in all fields in the form! Good luck!
