LIFE OF LIVES

beginning to the end

Faolan had been a horrible host. The silvery male hadn't sought out his sweet Enola since she had joined Ludicael. A pang of guilt rose in his chest every day when he didn't see her. He had tried to give her some space, to let her explore the pack lands without him being there twenty-four seven. Faolan didn't want to smother her, especially with Apollo nearby. Well, today would be different, even if he got sprayed with skunk cologne.
He walked through the woods surrounding the springs, sticking to the shady bits that brought a cooling touch. Summer was getting close to leaving, but the humidity decided to stay for as long as it could. Soft pants left his mouth as his tongue dangled, eager for any time of replenishing drink. His desire for water was taken over by his desire for Enola's presence. So, he proceeded to troy through the forest.
In no time, Faolan came across the den Enola had chosen. His tail began to wag as he hoped that she would be there. Light green eyes shimmered in the sun's rays as he lowered his head to look into the entrance. "Enola?" he softly called, tones playful and happy. He took a couple of more steps forward before stopping. "Are you in there?"

Enola had been taking a nap in an effort to avoid the summer heat, as well as the eastern region's humidity. Back in her homeland that was Seracia, the weather was very different and varied much more than it did here. Some days it would be beautiful, the sun's warm rays warming the girl's back, yet a breeze would keep her cool and comfortable. Then there was the stuff she could hear her family talk about, white stuff that froze the land around them, hiding away the sun. Winter, it brought the snow. Did this place get that too? What about when the land cooled? The leave son trees changed colors, at least that is what her family would tell her. When the leaves ell from their branches and to the ground they were crunchy, crisp to the touch.

Ears twitched at the sound of something nearby, swiveling in their sockets in an attempt to catch what it was. Once more, a familiar voice. Slowly eyelids peeled from each other, revealing milky grey eyes. She'd blink a few times before finally, slowly lifting her head with a quiet yawn. "Pluto..." Her voice came out as a whisper, still quite in her sleepy state of mind. She brought a paw up to rub her face, running it over her ears then down to her muzzle and back.

Sensing his friend beginning to wake up, as well as heard the voice like she had but more clearly. The skunk stirred from his spot, uncurling himself form the girl's belly, stretching out his limbs and arching his back with a large yawn. At her voice the creature would nod his head before standing up and twisting around, little paws carrying him to the entrance of the den where he would find the presence of a wolf, Faolan. "Finally you show up." Pluto grumbled, the annoyance he felt by the male wolf clear in both his voice and demeanor. "Enola just woke up, you need her for something?" Beady eyes narrowed on the male.

Apollo's anger and frustration towards Faolan was expected. The silvery male had been wrapped up in his mother's situation, constantly worried about her health. Now that Steel was born and safely resting next Silent's healthy body, Faolan wasn't as worried as he had been before. He flattened his ears at being scolded by the skunk, light green eyes showing his tender guilt.
"I came to apologize, Apollo," he voiced, tones filled with the obvious shame that had came upon his previously happy form. "I thought Enola wouldn't want me to be beneath her every minute...and my mother just had another baby." A soft sigh slipped from his lips. He didn't want to ruffle Apollo's fur for the risk of being sprayed. "I was afraid of her health during and after the labor. Ara and I didn't want something to go wrong."
His gaze left the skunk's and rose above his back to the moving figure within. Softly, he blinked a couple of times and then looked back to Apollo. "I also came because I wanted to spend time with her and make up for the time I didn't get with her after she came." He reclined to his haunches and didn't want to move.

silly wynn, the skunk's name is Pluto :3

Pluto lifted his head at the boy' words, so, he had come to apologize for his absence. Dark beady eyes narrowed on the silver wolf, taking in what he had to say yet had this part of him that felt like it was just crap spewing from his mouth. Well, maybe he wanted to think that, make the guy seem like he wasn't really meant for his friend Enola. He would remain silent however, allow Faolan to say everything he needed to say before the skunk came up with something to give back. So now he was here to spend time with the female, make up for the times he wasn't abl to spend with her after she had come appeared and joined the pack.

With a wave of his tail Pluto would plop himself down and watch Faolan in silence, making him wait for the creatures permission to take the girl out. ?That woman shouldn't even be having children at her age.? tones weren't exactly friendly or giving, but he would hold back the coldness. That excuse wasn't good enough to Pluto, but for now he would just deal with it and allow the two young lovers to make up for time lost. ?Make sure she is back before sun down.? Was all he would say before standing up and leaving the den, scampering off a few feet into some nearby vegetation.

While the males talked Enola had been slowly waking herself up, body arching and stretching, limbs pressing into the wall of her den. It wasn't till Pluto had gone that she finally would sit up, ears folding back with a yawn.
