He had ran into Rhythm on his way here a rather pleasant surprise and a meeting that certainly pointed out to Chord it was time to pay another visit to Abaven and his siblings there. He'd still taken his time of course, a few days had passed but finally once more he had found himself upon the borders of his brother's pack with Rhythm at his side. She had put up with his longer routes as they travelled around the Eastern lands until finally he came along a path that there was no real way to stretch out without completely avoiding Abaven and that certainly wasn't his plan in wandering though the time with his sister had been nice.
Though Rhythm was with him, the russet marked man would pause at the borders and lift his head and call out for his siblings. Though he would quite like to see the shock on their faces if they suddenly saw him strolling through the lands, the rest of Abaven had no idea who he was and chances were he'd cause trouble for himself and some unfortunate member of the pack trying to do good. Now he would sit and wait, hopefully they'd hurry up.
She?d found immense pleasure in the time spent with Chord on their way back to Abaven, the alone time with him had been much needed. She?d really felt the missing presence of her siblings during the year they had apart. She would soon find their time alone together was coming to an end at the scent of the Abaven borders. She?d feel her features shift into a smile as she felt the excitement of all the siblings being in one place once more. She would only wish that their parents were able to see them a year later. They?d come to a halt at the border and he would stop, much more cautious than she had been upon her first arrival within the lands. Chord?s voice would sing and she found herself unable to restrain her own song from leaving her lips. She?d sit beside her brother, singing out for the other parts of their set of siblings.
The song that called to him was one that he readily lifted his head to add to, unable to contain his own howl from those of his dear siblings. Ears perked to wait and hear Motif and Harmony's part, but he did not wait. It had been awhile since Chord had come for a visit, and he was glad that his only brother was making himself known within Abaven, even if it was only for a visit. His gait was fast and happy, his steps almost a dance as he made his way towards Chord and Rhythm were sitting and waiting. He refrained from tackling his brother this time, a laugh leaving his maw as he bumped his nose on his brothers shoulder. "Chord, always a pleasure to see you dear brother. How have your adventures been treating you?" He eyed him happily, licking his shoulder as he moved over to Rhythm and placing a soft kiss on her cheek. "You know Chord, you are the only one of us who don't call Abaven home. Thinking of settling down any time soon?" His vocals were teasing, but his question was serious. He would adore it if all the musical siblings lived together, and it would be even nicer to have his brother around. Bass could only take so much of all the girls, and summer had proven to be the season of hell.
This one hadn't joined the what had been dubbed 'The Troublesome Squad" yet, but she wasn't bothered by it the least. She loved that her brother had spared the time of his adventures to visit his group of siblings, and every time he came, the vixen wondered what specialty he would choose. Maybe to be a Pera to satisfy his wandering heart? "Hi Chord!" She had come skidding down a hill; as normal, she would greet her brother, whom was the only oddity of sibling amongst the musical litter, due to all of the others possessing nearly exact markings or eyes, or really an inverted version of one another. "Haha, he hasn't has he? He really should join our Musical Squad -- but what would it be called after a fifth?" There was a hint of playful banter in her voice, as she skipped over to her sibling, nuzzling him gently and throwing her left foreleg over his back in playful embrace, nipping his ears. As playful as ever. Mismatched gems glimmered with happiness and mischief, as she returned all four legs to the ground, and gave a happy yip. "When Motif gets here, should we all sing? It's been a long time since we've all howled together, and we are the Musical litter!" A gentle chortle would follow her emphasis, waiting for an answer.
The song of siblings would reach out and touch her ears, hinting at the monumental moment arriving, the moment when all the siblings would be together again, standing before each other in the first time in a very long while. She had seen Rythem, and Chord, and plenty of Harmony and Bass, but having them all together at one time was something not yet to pass in the lands of Abaven. She would get to her paws and shake grass from the soft browns of her coat before starting out a light jog into the direction of the call. She would be the last to arrive and come in to see them all chatting together, a real family reunion. She would chuckle softly and take in the big group before her ? her family.
She would move first to nudge the closest wolf to her, her nose connecting to the familiar light browns of the pattern of Chord?s forehead as she smiled fondly at the Wayward one of their siblings ? she had once thought she would be the most adventurous of their group but only Chord has stuck to his wondering ways. Next she would move to her exact twin, looking into the eyes that marked the difference between them as she smiled at the last of their family to arrive in Abaven and gave her a silent smile as well before moving to stand by Bass and Harmony. These where her boys and girls, these where the wolves she would kill or die for.
It really ought not to have been a surprise to anyone of them that Chord would remain the adventurous one of the five. As a child the boy had listened intently to every word of his grandfather's stories, eager to live them and many more exciting tales for himself now his goal was to actually live those adventures for real. A pack was certainly an adventure of sorts, though it truly was not the one for Chord nor the story he was looking for.
It would not take too long for first Bass to appear before him, followed by Harmony and Motif. He would greet each as they arrived, there wasn't really any denying that it was good to see them again. Indeed as the boy stuck out in personality it seemed he also stuck out somewhat in appearance, whilst the others had inherited shades of browns from both sides of the family, Chord was the only one to take their father's russet colouration and vivid green eyes. He and Harmony had their similarities as well though, whilst the others were mainly solid in colour and with some form of Darilnor's diamond marking upon their muzzles. Harmony however had been the only one to take that black for her stripe and her eye marks the same as their father's whilst Chord had taken a combination between their parents.
"Not a chance I'm afraid Bass." Chord would respond with a shake of his head. There was still plenty out in the world he had to see. It wasn't a stubbornness to refuse to obey his little brother's rules though Chord still had the feeling that he could not settle into a pack, whether Abaven or any of the others in Alacritis and beyond for that matter. It seemed whilst he had loved his maternal grandfather's stories, he had inherited his paternal grandfather's thirst for wandering.
"I've been well though. How are you all?" He still had no real stories to share of his adventures and his attention would flick to his siblings instead.
She would find her smile growing as each sibling arrived, first Bass would appear, his focus remaining upon their wayward brother asking if he found it time to settle down with the rest of his siblings. Of course, he would deny the thought easily. Rhythm would find herself almost envying his adventurous spirit and refusal to conform. He was his own master and the world was his oyster, and for a moment she would regret having joined Abaven. However with Bass?s tender kiss she knew that she?d never be able to leave his side. Similarly Motif would arrive and after her greeting of Chord she would also nudge her almost twin. Rhythm found a happy smile playing on her features as Harmony would mention joining in song.
Her features would brighten at the prospect, every wolf enjoyed singing and when it came to sharing such joyous sounds with her siblings she could hardly resist. Still she would keep herself mostly silent as Chord asked for an update on the other three wolves. She had already enjoyed her alone time with her brother it was only fair the other three get his attention as well. Dark haunches would coil beneath her after she returned Motif?s affection, attention focused on who ever would update their brother first.
