He rose his head to scent the area, he definitely was in a cold place. Tree's scattering the place of the old lake bed it seemed. The male could feel the icy snow underneath his pawpads, black fur helping protect him against the cold. It would seem that about five feet or so in front of him was a pack border. It made him wonder why a pack would be here, bot that it was of any sadness to him. Jack was actually looking for a home ever since last months events left his heart a bit dry. The five year old male would step forward until his paws touched the scent borders. Feeling the wind hit him from the left side as ears were used to pick up precise sounds.
Jack threw his head back, letting the vibration of his voice carry in the wind. It was powerful, something of a magnificent howl. However was held with high respect as well as his head lowered and he sat himself at the border. Tail curling around his hind legs. Despite being blind, he could easily live his life. Never having experienced sight, it wasn't as if he had lost something dear to him. So regardless of what other wolves thought to be a tragedy, he was rather happy..... for the most part, with himself.

Cypress was patrolling.
Despite the new members who had joined the male couldn't shake his protective instincts, particularly over Arian. He felt a touch of jealousy towards Avalon, though it was perhaps moreso because he had not yet met the woman. Soon though, he promised himself. Soon he would meet her. He didn't want to harbor any ill feelings towards those of the pack. The only way he was going to get over them was to meet with them all on one on one settings. Get to know them a little better. Mirabelle... he wasn't sure he'd ever get along with her and as for Ixionn, well, when he had tried to speak to the male he was ignored. A shame.
A howl would reach his ears. Though he was hardly the alpha he was close by and, not wanting Arian to bear all the burden alone, Cypress would stride towards the source of the howl. The sound had been beautiful, strong.
What Cypress would come across however would surprise him. A blind male sat at the borders. Older than himself, a creature of magnificence. The young man would furrow his brow a bit, approaching the stranger. Could he get around alright even though he couldn't see? That was an important question. Not so much in regards to joining, if that's what the male wanted, but more for the sake of his own safety.
"You stand on the borders of Sonticus." Cypress would say to the other gently. "I am Cypress, a cabinet member of this pack. I can handle anything you might need."

As he scented the male, he became slightly tensed but still remained respectful. Ears perking forward as he spoke, introducing the pack and himself. Cabinet member, must have been something of a high rank if he was here. Jack would simply assume that in his ignorance for the moment. A small smile grown on his face, head turned towards Cypress' face. Despite those empty looking white eyes, he seemed to pinpoint the other male's location perfectly.
"My name is Jack Stone, I was hoping to take up residence here." he dipped his head, eyes closing for a moment not that it made much of a difference as his head raised again. "I'm rather good at fighting, scenting and hearing are also a big strong point." don't he dare pick on the fact he was blind. Jack thought nothing of it, his life was lived in blackness as he had been born. He did not miss these things other wolves called sight, but he knew they enjoyed it.

Jack Stone, a prospective new member. Though he was blind, Cypress was not one to simply judge another because they had a disability. Nor would he turn him away because of it. The young man would breathe in, giving a nod. “I see. Well then, Jack Stone, if you are certain of your wish to take residence in Sonticus then I shall welcome you. We are a group where all alignments can live together, work together, so long as we respect each other.” Cy would smile. Sure there seemed to be more darker aligned minds in the pack at the current moment in time... But that wasn’t the worst possible thing.
“For now however I’m going to have to rank you as a citizen. I’d like to speak to our president about ranking new members, and having all of them tested before they are placed. If you are certain of a rank you’d like, let me know, and I’ll get back to you about it as soon as possible.” Cy would take a step to the side. “Welcome to Sonticus.”
