It was early evening and Frith would make his last pass around Threar's borders for the day. Everything had checked out so far, nothing out of place, no strange scents too close to the border. He'd taken note of the other wild life he'd seen on his trip, a couple of ocean otters on the beach, a crane making his way to the trees for the night. As the sun drew lower to the horizon he'd even see the bats as they started to take flight for the evening. More than one raccoon had passed by him, and he'd given chase both times. He never got tired of seeing them waddle/run up their trees. He was in a good mood, his worries were relatively quiet. As the moon made its way above his head Frith would walk in silence, completely content. Soon though he'd make his way back to his den with Novella and start thinking about the day ahead.

Whilst the evening patrol had been running smoothly so far, further along the borders Frith would likely come across a scent that might worry him a little more than those raccoons had done. Aslan on the other hand, doing his own little lap of patrol was highly intrigued by the scent, wandering along the borders without hesitation in search of the creature. He didn't think that Lux had ventured so close to Threar since his initial encounter with her and at the time had assumed he would never see her again. They didn't meet too often, though with their run-ins and growing curiosity the two had developed a friendship of sorts.

It was that very friendship that had led the mountain lion back to Aslan's home today. It had been a while since either of them had seen one and other and back within the area it made sense to stop by and attempt to find the tall wolf. She was of course a little cautious of those pack borders though, the majority of Threar were unknown to Lux, she'd heard names and relationships to her new companion though she'd never met any of them and likewise they had never met nor even heard of her.

You can choose if Frith finds Aslan or Lux first, thought it was about time that someone else in the family ran into Lux :)

His slower pace would eventually lead him to Aslan's scent, as well as another one that was slightly more alarming. Had his yearling children been younger he would have really panicked, but as Aslan was a very large boy (man? could frith bring himself to call his boy a man?) there was little more than curiosity and maybe a desire to run her off his land. It was probably a good thing that he would come upon his son first, his ears perked and his senses a bit more alert with a cat lurking. He'd quickly close the distance between himself and the taller chocolate form. "Aslan," He'd give him a quick nod, for once not offering his affections first of all. "Are you hunting, cat?" He questioned, knowing that the felines could steal their food as well as small pups.

In his eagerness to find his new friend again, honestly Aslan completely forgot about the fact that his father would also be on a patrol of the borders and what the man might possibly think to not only a stranger but a strange species approaching the pack in search for the Author's eldest son. Before such thoughts could enter his mind he could see Lux ahead of him, wolf and cat probably would have stepped forwards to greet each other though the voice of another caused both to pause.

For Lux it was a moment of panic, the tone of the other male certainly didn't appear to be too happy, less so as he addressed her. She was frozen to the spot for a moment, though the possibility of running was highly tempting. It was how her last visit in these lands had ended, caught by a wolf within them and fleeing before she could be hurt. Gaze flicked to Aslan now though, wondering if perhaps he could get her out of this mess.

"Dad" Aslan greeted his father in return, mismatched eyes falling to him before flicking back to Lux. She wouldn't answer the question, clearly unsure on how to do so and he could see that moment of worry flashing across her features that meant she could take off any moment now; she had fled from him several times in the past after all.

"Lux, that's her name." Aslan offered, attempting an introduction between the pair, eyes still flicking back and forth between the pair in order to gauge their reactions.

He hadn't noticed her at first, but as Aslan turned to greet him Frith would take sight of her. He was caught slightly aback, he hadn't expected to see her so close. He doubted that Aslan had any thought of running her off. The Author was intrigued however, and would tilt his head as the tall Destruction introduced her. Lux. "Hmm." He'd offer as he lowered his head and angled his gaze to watch her, obviously her mind was half way across Alacritis by now. "Is she like Sorrel and Felicien's owls?" He'd ask, turning his bicolored gaze from her and back to his son. By now his form had relaxed considerably, now that he knew her name he wasn't about to hurt her. Still, he wanted to know more before giving her his full trust.

For a number of reasons, Aslan hadn't compared Lux to Sorrel and Félicien's owls, the most obvious reason was perhaps the fact that she was a cat not a bird nor had either of them really purposefully sought the other out until now. They went about their own lives but they were becoming friends in some sense, could she perhaps become a companion of sorts as well? "Not exactly." He answered. "She's a friend though."

Lux meanwhile still remained a little wary during this conversation. Sorrel and Félicien were both unknown to her, and the comparison to an owl was certainly a rather odd one. She left Aslan to handle the talking, awaiting an introduction as well if either wolf saw fit to introduce the stranger to her. She of course had learnt it was Aslan's father from the brief greeting between the two wolves, though she was hardly going to call him dad he must have had a proper name as well.

Frith's bicolored gaze lingered on the cat as Aslan hesitated slightly in his answer. It seemed the situation was not quite as cut and dry as he'd first expected. Had winter still been upon them he might've just chased her out with no questions asked. It was spring though, and the earth's bounty was springing forth. There was enough food in Threar for another mouth. She was Aslan's friend, and that would be enough for Frith. He'd take a cautious step towards her, not intending to get close but he wanted her attention. (not that her eyes had wandered from him much.) "Will you come and speak with me?" He'd ask her, obviously he was not going to be treading closer to her as he sat back upon his rump. There were some questions he had for her, and if she intended upon lingering in his pack lands he wanted to know the answers.

Perhaps demonstrating the child-like innocence that Aslan clearly still pertained there was a different reaction between father and son for their first meetings with the mountain lion. Aslan had immediately been curious about her, chased her to find out more whereas Frith had been on edge, thoughts of chasing her to send her fleeing from the pack. He of course wouldn't do such a thing now upon discovering she meant no harm, though he still didn't appear to be quite as relaxed about the situation as Aslan himself was. Lux could pick up on this and was still somewhat hesitant to remain here.

"It's ok Lux." Aslan encouraged her. "This is my dad." Though the pair hadn't spoken much of family, he hoped that knowing that the two wolves before her were related might just put her at a little more ease. Clearly she was still a little cautious thogh, one wolf she had gotten used to but two together was a little unnerving. "What about?" She enquired.
