There wasn’t a hint of nerves in the girl since she volunteered to do a one on one fight with Quelt himself. If anything, she exuded confidence because of her determination and familiarity when it came to fighting. A small grin caught her face, remembering her spar with Quelt from before as she readied her defenses, posing a question to the leader of the training effort. “Are we practicing specific types of moves like last time or just an open spar with whatever we can think of on our feet?” She would ask to make sure she would use proper moves and techniques if there were certain requirements.
Last time had been a bit of a challenge, attacking only from the flank instead of the front or even the back, and she wondered if they would be challenged this time too. Her ocean pelt shook free of any dirt before the defenses were set into place. She bent her knees and splayed her toes into the ground to improve balance, her stance widening to aid in the effort. Her ears were pressed against her skull to create less of a mass to attack as her kept her tail level with her spine to keep her balance. Her neck was scrunched, creating a layer of fat to protect the sensitive place on her body as she kept a snarl face on her maw for intimidation. Her chin was up down slightly to make an attempt of guarding her lower neck and upper chest as well.
