It wouldn't be long before his nieces were running around outside their den, sniffing the grass and wanting to explore their home with their mother. So Spencer got a idea, well two was more like it. He would set out about midday, pace moderately fast, heading for the river system he had seen while him and Marina came down south. Apparently it was a good spot for prey to come get a drink and was filled with various edible fish. His plan was to see if there was a calm section of the river, a bit on the shallower end and still had a good amount of fish. Once the kids were ready he would bring them down for both swimming and fishing lessons, let them have some funny with their uncle Spencer.

This place was new and wondrous, the river beside him gurgled with life as fish leaped from it's depths every once in a while. It seemed that even during the summer here, these lands came to life. He'd yet to see another of his kind, let alone the fact he wasn't sure if there were any of his kind here, but the scent trails of others led him to believe that there was. The large brute walked slowly across the banks of the river, steel blue eyes searching for signs of anything else beneath the depths, though he doubted that there were any strange mutated sharks lurking here like they did in the ocean. It was a silly thought really, but one never knew what wonders lurked in this world. He was, after all, a wolf splattered with rich and vibrant rainbow hues, who was to say there could be no such thing as river sharks?

As the heat of the sun beat down on him, he decided that he'd chance it. The male moved towards the water, his gargantuan body causing his paws to sink slightly into the mud as he approached but it bothered him none. He was glad that his paws were black, so it was harder to spot the dirt that accumulated there. As he leaned down to drink his fill, he would spot something on the opposite side of the bank. With narrowed eyes, he slowly raised his head to get a better look. And there he would see another wolf. He pondered for a moment if he should remain where he was, or leap the large boulders that offered a pathway. It was that, or swim across...but the thought of potential river sharks would keep him from going within the water, at least until he was sure they didn't exist. He was used to living by the sea, so rivers weren't exactly in his comfort zone. Instead, he decided to continue along the side of the bank at a slow pace, not wanting to be a bother to the other, but at the same time he wondered if the other was aggressive...best not chance it.

So far he was only able to find that small sections of this area were shallow, but they weren't open enough to allow the kids to play safely under his supervision. And so he would move on, strolling along the bank, head held high while his green eyes continued scanning the lower bank for the perfect spot. As he walked though, something would catch his attention after a couple of minutes, striking color standing out against the earth. Head turned, instantly smiling as he thought Marina was coming over to join him, but then he would become confused at the site of a white pelted wolf with equally striking colors as her.

Spencer had to blink a few times, even shaking his head to make sure he wasn't just seeing things. But now, no matter how many times he blinked and shook his head, even rubbed his eyes, the wolf wouldn't change. The man was actually staring at a white wolf with a rainbow along its spine and striping the legs. What on earth was going on around here? "Excuse me!" He'd bark suddenly, pulling back a step but then moving forward, carefully leaping onto a large rock in the water. He'd wait for the man to notice him before going on, remaining on the rock.

"Excuse me!" Ears perked at the sound of a male's voice, looking up, it would be the voice of the male he had watched only moments before. Stopping in his tracks, he noted the wolf's position atop the rock, just...looking at him. Was there something on his face? He looked behind him for a second, even glancing down to stare at his reflection in the water and tilted his head first to one side, then the other. Nothing. Brows furrowed in confusion for a moment, then wondered what it was that the male wanted. Standing in the shallows, steel colored eyes gazing curiously at the male. "Can I help you with something, sir?"

The man it seemed, was a dual tone of black and white on his pelt. Arvandor couldn't tell how tall he was, but even from this distance, he was sure that he towered over the male. His former pack of Ithildin were a pack of giants, their unusual kind often towering over others. He remained where he was, waiting for a reply.

"Listen to me talk," 'and know my thoughts.'

It wasn't difficult to catch the man's attention, but it would seem like he didn't believe Spencer was calling to him. He looked behind him that at his own reflection before looking back to Spencer, asking if he could help with something. He'd stand there in silence for a few moments, trying to think of a good reason to give so that the man wouldn't think he was some kind of weirdo looking to mess with somebody. What could he say though? He was more so surprised to see someone similar to his sister, even if her case seemed minor now.

"Do you have a moment to talk?" He'd ask, remaining on the rock he stood on. If the strange man had time then Spencer would climb off and find a way over to him, but id he didn't then he guessed he could just go back to Mar and see if she had seen this fellow before.
