Old memories, stranger lands

OOC: Le rusty..need to get back into the swing of things.
Ashen paws would once more tread among the marshy swamp, once she had happened across this place, simply exploring at the time. Or so the molten dame believed. Ears shifted forward at an odd sound but she didn't pay it much mind as those paws lead her forth into the unknown. She was no longer a yearling, but a young women blossoming into her adult hood. However without her mother at her side and being alone as it was, it was hard to say where the path would take her. For this season didn't favor her or perhaps it did, it was hard to tell what hand fate had dealt her.
Pausing those molten eyes settled upon a moving shape, yet she did not budge as a snake crossed her path, some kind of water moccasin, but as long she didn't disturb it or cause trouble it would leave her be. Once it was clear of that path did she moved forth again, not heading particularly in anyone direction. Though, she wasn't sure where she was going to go much less do in these lands, it all was still quite new to her.

She had missed her little cave that was...somewhere around here. She had traveled back from Hyder's domain in the West to fetch something she'd forgotten, but she hadn't told him that she left...she was an adult anyhow, she didn't need permission to go off on her own. She was no slave, though she had no idea yet that Hyder did have a slave of his own already. He was her friend, her guardian, her protector. And he was a pretty kitty at that! With a small smile on her face, she wandered in search of her old home, though she wasn't entirely sure where it was anymore. The first time she'd found it, it had been purely accidental. But since she hadn't been back in a season, she couldn't exactly remember where it was. Though by now, she figured she probably wasn't anywhere near her old den site.
Frowning, she paused at the edge of ancient riverbed as she gazed about. Obviously this was the wrong place...there was too much snow, and the familiar scenery of her--wait! That was it! She had traveled North instead of East...Rolling her eyes, she groaned out loud as she slumped to the ground; head buried beneath her paws. How could she have been so stupid to go the wrong way? Suddenly, her ear twitched at the sound of a low shuffling sound. She wasn't alone, was she? Peeking out from under her paws, the girl spotted a sight very peculiar and very bright. Curious, she slid down into the riverbed and climbed the other side as quietly as she could, peeking over the other side like an investigative cat. Curiously, she watched the strangely colored wolf...though she wouldn't say a word as she stared in awe. Everyone she met, seemed to have strange colored pelts! |

It seemed just as quickly one company had vanished, another took it's place. Those keen ears shifted to the sound of a groan, clearly a wolf..but they didn't sound like they were in trouble. Perhaps they had gotten lost or had an upset stomach? It was hard to say, alas the molten dame didn't bother approaching. She wasn't too sure what she'd do or make of any other company at the time, perhaps a bit skittish. Tat gaze shifted to where the spot the sound had came from, before seeing a head poke out from behind a long. A simple stare was given which only lasted a few moments, before she began to move on. Skittish indeed.
The molten dame had much to learn, much more then she cared to say. For she was in the middle of the spectrum and yet could be easily be influenced to either side. It was hard to say just which way the lady would go or would she simply remain on the middle ground, neutral to everything going on around her? It could be hard for one to stand their ground and remain neutral no matter the odds or the chaos raging around them, swaying a side was far easier then remaining a neutral party. For everyone from both sides would try to get her to join them, to favor their odds against another faction, alas such was the way of politics.
