He'd linger about the lands, not yet returning to the Southern reaches of the earth. But then again, there was nothing really to return to. He had been released from the pack like all young men, a life trial of sorts. They were only allowed to return once they'd become a master of their best skill, and now it was time to get his paws dirty as he searched for herbs. He wasn't sure what grew around here, though his keen nose would root out the best of them if he could only find them. The dire wolf stalked the land, his brightly splashed pelt giving him no way to move undetected, though by now he'd grown used to it. The summer sun bore down, though the colors of his pelt would ward off the sun mostly, the grasses of these plains sheltering him only slightly, however, they would not ward off the bothersome bugs that flew about his ears. "Argh! Go away you nasty things! De réir an réalta de Ithildin!" He swatted at them in vain, annoyed and distracted from his herb seeking task.
