Life had certainly decided to throw some major changes in Novella's direction as of late. Finding Frith, falling in love and marrying him, and now the arrival of their children. It still amazed her every day that she was actually a mother, that she had three beautiful children to care for now. They were already growing so swiftly and it was certainly getting to the stage that they ought to begin to get out and explore around their home. If this would be their home for much longer anyway. She would be an alpha soon, once she and Frith had properly settled into their roles as parents and were ready to start their pack. She hoped Song would allow them to reside in the Falls, they had certainly become rather special to her, and that secret cave being the falls that her mate had discovered was certainly something she didn't want to lose or share. Perhaps one day she would show their children but certainly not now, it would continue to be her and Frith's secret.

The morning had of course brought the warm summer sun out once more, deciding to take the opportunity of the early cooler weather rather than the afternoon heat Novella would gently stir the three children to wake them up. "Do you want to come outside?" She would question them softly. Without waiting for an answer she would begin to move towards the entrance, pausing there to invite them to follow and of course watch their reactions as they realised she was serious.

It was astounding how much they?d grown, their once impossibly tiny bodies were not rough enough that they would be able to experience outside the wall of their den. He was still so proud of Novella, and how well she?d done during the pregnancy. Now it was up to their tiny pups to begin following the right path towards their potential greatness. He?d feel his conscious stirring as Novella brought herself into wakefulness, her words bringing him to wakefulness along with their young children. He?d yawn loudly and brought himself to his feet, watching as the gentle new mother encouraged their children from the den. He?d nuzzle each one, helping them up and outside, waiting to take up the rear and help them out. "Come on, wake up loves." He?d smile as he watched the sleep slip from their eyes.

Aslan had often wondered about outside. There were times that his parents would venture out and there had been the odd occasion he could recall that others, more family apparently would come in to visit him. They had never been allowed to follow those that would come and go though which was incredibly strange but suddenly this morning the children would all be awoken and welcomed to step outside. Why the sudden change, why could they go out now? More importantly though, what was out there? Finally he could get a real glimpse of where everyone went to when they weren't inside the den.

The chocolate pup would push himself to his feet and glance first to his father standing behind them and then to their mother still waiting at the entrance. Another glance would be cast to Varda and Herne before he would accept the opportunity that they had been given and Aslan would venture forwards, pausing at his mother's side before completely leaving the den. There was no one else around, so he still knew not where they all went though already he could see the world was far larger outside of the den than it had been inside. He would await his family to follow now, not sure really what was to be done.

Herne, unlike his brother, had been less than curious about the world outside. For the frail thing, the cave had been enough to explore, enough to learn about. There was a lot to find, just within this small space, and he had not done enough wandering within their small space to properly build up muscle mass. He was still scrawny, bones sharp against his skin despite the plentiful nutrients available within their home.

He was reluctant to move, bicolored eyes wide as his mother spoke of them leaving the den. As his mother and father both cajoled himself and his siblings to leave, still Herne hung back, waiting until Aslan had begun to move towards the exit to raise shakily to his paws. The unfamiliar weight of his body would throw him off for a moment, but before long Herne was making careful steps towards the edge of their home. He would stand still at the edge, casting a nervous glance up at his mother for a long moment.

It was time.

Taking another hesitant step, Herne ignored the slight shaking in his limbs as he left his home behind, head tilting back to take in the sudden assault of new scents and sounds and sights. Flopping back on his haunches, the boy would remain silent, gazing in wonder (and slight fear) at the vast world that he had discovered.

Varda was last to stir at the warm words of her affectionate mother. She mentioned something about going outside. Outside? Like outside the den? Did they have the chance to explore their home? Already awake to see the outside world, the ivory pup jumped to her paws, as if she had never been tired at all. It was hard to believe that not long ago, she couldn't even use her paws, but now, she was as lively as a beautiful bird. A multicolored gaze flickered from her parents to her siblings, who had already made their way to the entrance. They were already outside without her? How long had she rested for?

Wait for me! She thought excitedly as she bounced to the entrance, soon taking her first leaps outside to join her brothers. Even though she was already fascinated in her home, she wouldn't travel any further. The pup had to wait for the rest of her family to come outside. She didn't want to misbehave and get herself lost amongst the wonders of these foreign lands. Eager eyes watched her siblings, her loving family. Herne seemed a bit hesitant to see the unknown, whilst Aslan was just as curious as herself.

There was some hesitance amongst them, whether confusion, nerves or sleepiness they wouldn't go rushing straight outside. Aslan would be the first to move though and his little display of confidence would even entire Herne to follow suit and Varda would swiftly bound out after the pair. Novella would stay put for a moment, watching them carefully of course and awaiting Frith to join her side as well. A small nuzzle would be given to him before mismatched eyes would fall once more upon their children.

The world had hit pause on them again for a moment. Herne's nerves had apparently kicked in again and though she couldn't tell what Aslan and Varda were thinking she could only assume that they were a little at a loss with what to do out in the wide open space they found themselves in now. She would take a few steps to join them, giving Herne a comforting nuzzle, reassuring the boy that she was right here. "What do you think then?" She would ask them, prompting for some sort of view. Of course the answers wouldn't be detailed ones but even a couple of words would be nice to hear. Whatever happened this would be their first home here in the Sunset falls, though it was another reason why it'd be nice to stay here, uprooting would likely confuse her children if they began to feel as at home here as their parents did.

The pups were rather silent as they woke, their energy building with each moment that continued as the world was laid open before them. He?d follow them out, letting his muzzle come to Novella?s cheek. He?d nuzzle her affectionately and would kiss her as he turned to place himself on the other side of the children. He?d nuzzle each one, trying to encourage them to explore and disclose what they thought. They were certainly not loud pups, but as Novella asked what they thought he really couldn?t wait to hear. This was the very first time they?d been outside, what in the world could they be thinking right now?

In a similar silence his brother and sister would follow him outside. None of them it seemed quite knew what to make of the strange new world they found themselves surrounded by and Aslan would take some comfort in that revelation, he wasn't alone in his shock and bemusement. He would lean a little into his parent's touches though mostly his attention would remain fixed upon the world what did he think of it? Honestly the boy wasn't entirely sure. The open space was incredibly different from the closed security his den had offered him and whilst he wasn't exactly scared he was somewhat daunted though certainly interested in the lands he found himself in now.

One thought of course did stand out in his mind, and he would cast a glance to his parents as he questioned them. "Where others?" His grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins the rest of the family that had visited them from time to time. They would always disappear out of the den and he had assumed he would see them here but of course that wasn't the case, so where else could they go to, he couldn't see any other hidden paths for more vanishing acts.

Canta hadn?t been too see the new pups, despite being excited for her aunt the girl just felt awkward around the younger wolves, like she was too big and if she wasn?t on constant alert she was likely to squish one. That though was usually accompanied by the image of a bug beneath her paws. Still? The young girl had convinced herself to swing on by the den. The pups would probably be sleeping and she could sneak a peek, offer her congratulations to the pair and then slip off without ever having to worry about interacting with the kids.
Of course, things hardly ever worked out as planned and as neared the falls she could already see shaped moving, small ones. Stifling her grimace she realized it was too late and approached the small family, pushing a smile onto her features. "Hello Aunt Novella.? She said feigning cheeriness and giving Firth a pleasant nod in greeting. Forest eyes locked upon a small brown form, sporting the oh so familiar blue and yellow eyes. "And who is this?" Her voice was a bit strained and she quickly made sure to indicate the other boy and the snowy girl as well.

His mother's comforting touch was the first thing that Herne truly enjoyed about the outside world. The brown boy pressed himself against his mother's nuzzle, leaning into the casual touch. And as his father offered him a comforting brush as well, Herne thumped his tail against the earth, nudging the much larger male slightly with his body.

What did he think? "Big." Herne would observe simply, turning his gaze from the summer sky to his parents. His maw opened, half prepared to say something else about the strangeness of the world around him, when another wolf appeared. He rose to his paws and scooted back several steps until he could look at the other properly, without tilting his head back to stare up at her.

Still, he said nothing, not even as she questioned the identities of himself and his siblings. Instead, his gaze wide, Herne watched silently, waiting to hear what his parents and siblings would say to the stranger.

Still observing the new world, the restless pup couldn't even stand still. A wild tail wagged behind her as she turned her head to her parents. Her mother had asked them all what they thought of outside. Herne said that it was big, and she had to agree with him on that. It was huge and massive yet spectacular and beautiful. And all for them to explore!

"Pretty," She squeaked as her multicolored eyes gazed for a while longer. It was pretty, even though she had no idea what those things with the water coming down were called. Lifting her head to the falls, she curiously asked. "What are those?"

Another wolf had seemed to join them. The black furred and green eyed lady had called her mother aunt Novella. Was she related to them? Was that a family member? She probably was, and she seemed nice too. The snow colored pup bounced up to the stranger, not afraid or shy to be loud.

"Varda." The pup introduced herself to the stranger proudly with a puff of her chest. She already was looking forward to meeting her other family members, but, how many more were there?

Big and pretty. Some parts of the world certainly were and here in the falls they certainly had some rather pretty areas. "They are called waterfalls." She would explain to her daughter. If they questioned more about the falls she would explain more but for now her attention would be brought to Aslan's question about where the other members of the family were. As if on cue she would see the form of her niece heading towards them. It'd been a while since she had seen Canta and the pleasant surprise was welcomed now, a welcoming smile cast the girl's way.

"Hello Canta" She would respond warmly after Canta gave her own greeting. Then came the enquiry as to who the new Destructions were. Her daughter would speak up with her own name and she opted to leave the two boys the chance to answer for themselves as well. Herne however would clearly be startled by the presence of the other and step back a little. "Don't be afraid. Canta is nice." She would whisper to the boy in hopes of comforting and encouraging him.

With Aslan?s quick look he would take in the world, he didn?t seem afraid, which would encourage Frith a bit. The dark boy would ask about the other wolves, he would assume the ones that had visited while they were in the den. He didn?t seem to quite grasp how big the world really was. He?d ask this just as a visitor arrived, Canta. one of Song?s daughters. He?d not yet talked to the girl but from what he?d seen she had a good head on her shoulders. She would ask the children their names and he would stay silent for a moment longer. Herne would have brushed his affections back towards his father as the midnight girl found her way to their side. Varda was even less afraid of the outside world and she would dance impatiently obviously ready to go. She would also easily introduce herself to her cousin. Still he would refrain from giving his babies a voice as he smiled proudly at Canta, did she see how truly wonderful her cousins were?

It would be rather excellent timing that one of the family would at that moment appear, Aslan was sure that he hadn't seen her before though. The dark female however would appear to know his mother, calling her my her name and using the word aunt that he had come to know. She would enquire as to who he and his siblings were though no name would be given, not by her anyway. It was only as his mother spoke that he could guess that perhaps her name was Canta. As for him? "I'm Aslan." The young Destruction responded after his sister gave her own name.
