It was morning but the sun had already risen above the horizon when Spencer began heading over to his sister's den, a bounce in his step as he thought about the activities he had planned for today with the kids. They were old enough to leave the den and explore the gulley, so he wanted to have some alone time with the girls and just have some fun and possibly teach them a few things they might remember by time they become yearlings. It wouldn't take long till he was standing outside the entrance, clearing his throat and lowering his head partially inside. "Wakey wakeeeeey." He called sweetly, tail wagging in the air.

Ah, it seemed the green babe was still dozing in the sun's beaming rays near the den's entrance, enjoying the peaceful company of her mother and siblings. That was all until her uncle came in and disturbed her of the tranquility, sweetly yet annoyingly calling for them to rise. "You wakey wakey," she mumbled in a groan, flattening her ears and tightening her eyelids as if she would be able to fall asleep again. Alas, it was unsuccessful, and before she knew it, the rest of her family would be waking up, chattering to each other and trampling the largest girl of the litter. Why couldn't she go exploring in her own time? It would be boring with her sisters and uncle, unless he had something more enjoyable in mind.

The woman would wake to the sound of her brother's voice, perking her ears and opening her eyes. A light smile danced upon her lips, and she would get to her paws, letting out a yawn. "Good morning to you too, Spencer." She would reach forward, playfully grabbing a bit of her brother's scruff as tail was set to wagging side to side. She knew her little ones would protest getting woken up, but she hoped that Ren, Zephyra, Nixie, and Katie would all have fun each and every day of their lives. She wanted their days to be perfect, even if they weren't with her. "What are you planning, my dearest Spence?" "Talk" "You" Think

Katie was resting beside Zephyra, curled up in a little ball in her dreamland. She would slumber on, her eyes closed and ears twitching on occasion as she dreamed. Each day that passed was peaceful. She was able to grow in the gentle calmness that the Gulley provided. There was no pack life. No responsibility. She would breathe in, slowly fluttering open her eyelids as she heard her uncles voice. She would lift her head, giving a little yawn. "Uncle Spencer...? Why we gotta get up?" The girl would ask.

She was content with sleeping, and it sounded like Zephyra wasn't ready to get up either. Katie would lean over to her sister, giving a gentle nuzzle to her cheek. "Don't be so grumpy." She'd say gently. Getting to her paws she'd walk to Nixie and give her other sibling a gentle nudge. "Wakey Wakey~"

The girl twitched in her sleep, enjoying the warmth surrounded by her mother and her siblings. She wasn't keen on staying asleep for much longer, but she was also feeling lazy to wake up. Rolling over and snuggling against Kaitlyn, she buried her nose into her sister's fur, ignoring the fact that she was stirring. The voices around here were no more then muted whispers in her ears, but when a voice drew closer to her ear, her eyes would blink open slowly. Groggily, she lifted her head as everything in her vision was blurry. Kaitlyn's face was somewhat recognizable. " Wha? Wha's going on?" With a huge yawn, she shook her head to clear the sleep away. As her eyes focused, she saw the looming form of her uncle at the entrance of the den. Immediately her tail would wag, the girl struggling to untangle her legs as she climbed over her siblings to reach him. "Uncle Spencer! Are we going exploring again today!?"

A groan came from the older boy, and he rolled over, burrowing his head in his paws. IT was futile, though, as both of his others not only stepped on him, but also sung in his - and Zephyra's - ear. The boy groggily lifted his head, blinking sleep blurred eyes. A paw lifted to wipe those eyes, and he'd blink rapidly as his eyes focused on the two adult wolves, his mother and uncle. "Mum, Uncle Spencer..." his voice trailed as of he just sort of mumbled, no where even close to waking up completely. He dragged himself to the two and flopped down; he was not ready to be bouncing around quite yet. He shook his head, sniffing Spencer. "You smell like meat," he muttered, low enough that likely only his mother and uncle heard. As if on instinct, the pup rose up, nosing poking at the corner of Spencer's mouth. He had only done this with his mother before, and the other pups were not quite ready for it, well, at the time - being a few weeks older, he had that advantage. This time, though, he was way too groggy. Plus, his siblings had started to eat more than just milk, though they were more interested in it than he. He most certainly wasn't that interested in milk anymore, though, not after that fresh rabbit he had not too long ago. Glacier, the giant's name was, he had fed it to little Ren, the softest bits and still warm - and delicious. In fact, his mouth salivated at the thought.

ooc. Note, the poking the nose in the corner of the mouth is a signal for the adult to regurgitate food from a special pouch they have for pups to eat. I'm assuming the pups are still only about a few weeks old.

As usual, grumpy Zeph stirred and was already annoyed at being woken up so early. Bummer, ever since he found her and Nixie arguing by a puddle he had made it his mission to annoy the girl whenever she acted in such a way. Of course he wasn't hard on her, just enough to push her little buttons. Marina would wake up right after, greeting her brother and grabbing at his scruff before questioning his motives for today. "Uncle Spencer wants to take the kids out for activities." He smiled, licking her snout and pulling back to give the family some room.

Kaitlyn and Nixie woke after, asking why they had to get up and if they were going exploring today. "Something along those lines. He answered with a wink, nipping each girl's ear gently. When Ren woke, if you could even call it that, he mumbled his uncles name and began poking at his mouth. The man chuckled, licking the kid's cheek and pulled back. "No meal today, sorry boyo." He sat back and waited for the kids to wake and get comfortable, tail lightly thumping against the ground as he thought about what he would put them through. "Might teach them a few things or play, who knows." Vague, he wanted to peak their interest, winking towards his sister.

Why was everyone so cheerful today? Oh, right, they were always like that. At least Uncle Spencer was in a decent mood today, especially after her recent "incident" with her sister. Grown ups were like that, as she had learnt the hard way. And then her other sister had to interfere. It wasn't her fault that she was regularly grumpy and moody...alright, maybe it was but how was she to know that?

Groggily heaving herself to her paws, glaring at her jumping siblings through a half-opened gaze, she pried her eyelids open until a burst of bright colour and light engulfed her vision. Morning already? Well, she couldn't waste the whole day sleeping, for there were activities to do, activities that her uncle annoyingly wouldn't tell them. She didn't like guessing games, she just wanted all the answers handed straight to her on a silver platter. "What ac...acti...activi...whatever, we doing?" she stammered before giving up on the difficult pronunciation. Obviously, spelling wasn't her strongest suit.

Marina would tilt her head to the side as Spencer spoke. Activities with the kids huh? She would raise a brow, a grin on her face. “Fair enough. Alright kids, looks like you’re going with Spencer today. So you’d all better be on your best behavior with each other.” She’d turn to Zeph, gently nuzzling her between the ears. “Come now, my little darling, if I know my brother it’ll be something fun.” The wolfess would then turn to Ren, kissing his forehead now. “Maybe if you’re lucky your uncle will teach you how to hunt your own food.” She’d wink. “Anyway, just make sure they’re back by sundown. I... I’d feel more comfortable that way.” Marina felt a bit overprotective of her children still. Especially after seeing that rainbow colored man around the area... "Talk" "You" Think

Katie’s eyes would light up as Spencer said that he wanted to take them out for activities. Activities? Like what? The little girl would flop on her rump, tilting her head to the side as she watched everyone else as questions and interact with her uncle. Her brother was even doing something strange, which she didn’t quite understand the meaning of. She would cock her head to the side, giving a soft whine as she watched him. “What’cha doing Ren?” Then gaze would shift to Zephyra. Her older sister was not the brightest with certain things, but Katie had no issues with her. She’d turn her gaze back to Spencer, hoping that he’d answer her black and green sister’s question. ""
