Mirabelle stepped gingerly onto the hard-packed earth of the battlefield. She wanted a spar, a fight. Friendly, simple. Not something bloodthirsty, something resulting in minimal injuries but something to help her train. Ideally, she would be sparring someone from her pack... but she was pretty much avoiding everyone now. She didn't really want to interact. Well she did, but she didn't want to open herself up. Like she kinda did with Wren. So she stuck to her duties, no more and no less. Well... that was inaccurate. She knew Xae. The gentle healer that so far has put up with her bullshit. She interacted with him; him who seemed to understand her. A smile flitted at the edge of her jaws. Even thinking of him makes me smile. But then again, why wouldn't he? He was nice, kind, and... the smile disappeared for a moment. And in love with Harmony. Shaking herself, she remembered and had herself think of good things. Namely, her just loitering about and encountering Xae. He had an air of peace around him, one that seemed to bring her peace as well. And she needed that peace if she were to spar. She received the peace thinking of her friend. Calm now, unworried, she tipped her head back and let out a long howl. A howl that pretty much said exactly what she wanted - a spar, simple, friendly. The recently promoted young member of Bevroren was seeking to train. There were so few people within the ranks of the pack and of course now with as high a position as she had perhaps it would be worthwhile seeking experiences outside of her homelands. The experience of battling a stranger would s worthwhile one, a chance to learn from someone else and so she would head to the Battlefield. There were bound to be others here seeking the same thing, a simple spar for pratice. Sure enough as she drew closer to the battlefield a howl would ring out, beckoning anyone forth for a spar. Talvi would alter her direction slightly now, heading towards the source. And there was her possible opponent stood there waiting. "You wanted to spar?" She questioned simply.

She let the howl draw to an end, the last note tapering off into silence gracefully. Again, she hoped someone would answer - she needed the practice. It was one thing to assassinate, it was another to do a normal battle, where both parties are - mostly - on the same terms. And with her duties as Harmony's guard... were someone or something try to harm her charge, then it would be a straight fight. Not a sneaking, silent kill, but a violent fight resulting in blood of all parties. It wasn't just her she was to practice for; it was for her pack as well.

Suddenly, Mira's ears would prick when a scent drifted towards her. Even better, a moment later she could hear the soft pawsteps of the wolf approaching. Delight filled Mira and she wagged her tail, giving the Bohevren wolf a cheerful greeting. "Yes, I would. My name is Mirabelle Talos. Yours?"

As she was waiting for a response, Mira began setting up her defenses: her knees bent and her paws spread to better balance herself, her fur rose to better protect the skin underneath. She dug her toes into the ground to balance herself, and spread her weight evenly across her body. Her ears flattened, and before tucking her head down and rolling her shoulders forward to scrunch the skin at her neck, she flashed her sparring partner a grin. She kept her lips peeled back as she resumed setting her defenses, narrowing her eyes and aligning her tail with her spine.

with her defenses set, she waited patiently for Talvi to make the first move.

Talvi had grown somewhat colder in the past year of her life, lied to and abandoned by family it took more than blood now to keep and hold her trust. More importantly she had a new found focus within her, more so than the mind of a child eager to learn, but a wolf determined to prove herself in her own right. She was here now to learn, better herself not to make friends and whilst the wolf had done no wrong to her nor did Talvi have anything against her pleasantries were not exactly necessary. "Talvi Zaldun." She would still offer her own name but by no means in as cheery a tone as Mirabelle's own. Formalities over it was time to get to work, that focus drove her onwards eager for the spar, mind and spirit prepared she would now set about readying her body for it as well. Her stance would widen now, toes spreading out, knees bending to lower her centre of gravity, aid her balance and ready herself to move in any direction. Instincts working perfectly her hackles would rise on their own accord and her shoulders would roll slightly now as her head pulled pack, further protecting her neck. With the placement of her head and tail, her spine aligned nicely, and now Talvi would dip her muzzle forward to protect her throat. Ears would pin themselves against her skull, and eyes would narrow to protect them from attacks as her lips pulled back and teeth exposed into a snarl. Now they were ready and it was time to attack. With Mirabelle making no move it seemed the first attack was hers to make. Talvi would move forwards to close the distance, keeping her body low as she moved, path taking her slightly to the Mirabelle's right rather than head to head. No close enough for contact, Talvi would drive forwards and up, aiming to collide with Mirabelle's right shoulder with her right shoulder, certainly not a worthy attack on it's own the aim to knock her balance and distract her rather than injure her. Her own body would twist to Talvi's right now to create a smaller target area for Mirabelle to attack and teeth would seek to make contact with the right side of Mirabelle's neck.
