Voltage Elementas Voltage lifted himself out of the den, squinting his eyes at the bright light that greeted him that morning. It was a beautiful day. The sun was warm, the sky so clear. It was such a beautiful day before the cold of winter came about. He stood there, basking in the sun infront of his den for several moments, staring out at the ocean. The heat made him think of his sister, wondering where she was at this moment. He had never gone this long away from her, and while he had kept himself busy he did miss her so fully. So much...He breathed in slowly, pulling the salted air into his lungs before tilting his head to look into the den to where his daughters were still sleeping...he hoped. He missed his sister so dearly, just like he missed Arcus and Astrea. With a heavy sigh he'd look at his children, his smile lost from his face. He had never felt such holes in him, even when he and Glacier had been sent away. There was always that knowledge that his siblings had each other, and one day...one day he might see them again. But not now, no. There was something final about this feeling, something that told even his most optimistic side that it would be a long while before he saw his missing siblings again. Each one, gone, was like a blow to his chest, like he had lost this great part of himself and it was true. He didn't feel that constant energy coursing through him any longer, and he often found himself sighing. His grin was harder to hold up, as well, and he certainly had laxed a lot on his alpha duties, hadn't he? With a sigh (oh great, another one) he'd look at his children. "Illie~ Current~" He sang, pulling a smile onto his face. "It's a lovely day for a swim, isn't it? Why don't you two go get your Uncle Glace and we can have a beach party together." He'd say with a gentle laugh, turning more so he wasn't straining to see his daughters, wondering if they were even awake in the bright light of the morning. "speech"

Glacier also never forgot the siblings that didn't reside in the pack lands any longer. They where never far from his mind, with Astrea, on her adventure, Arcus, finding himself, and Sere... well, she had started out hiding from the cold but perhaps the beach life in the end hadn't been right for her. It was Sere he worried about the most, who's disappearance felt more final. He knew for a fact that one day Astrea and Arcus would find their way back to him, to Donostrea, but would Sere? He had been close to Voltage's den, without even meaning to his paws had led him there, and he heard the voice of his brother singing out, indirectly calling out for him as he asked his little ones to find their Uncle Glacier. It was funny how it worked, it was natural, instinctual, a part of their fundamental make up that when one sought out the other they would be right where they needed to be. “Daaaad I wanna go to the beach party too!” he whined, sticking his head into the den and grinning at Voltage. Illie was laying around, being lazy because she wasn't allowed out of the packlands. Not that she had been to begin with. She wasn't allowed in the Cliffs, she wasn't allowed to ride on Uncle Glace's back. She wasn't allowed to do anything! So she spent her time sleeping, and bugging her sister, if she could. Today, though, she really was sleeping. She barely noticed when Voltage left the den, it was far too early for her to get up now. And yet, the sun crept behind closed eyelids and she'd sigh so heavily, pulling paws up to cover her eyes when she heard her father sing for her. Ears perked up and she peaked an eye out from her paw to look out of the den at Voltage, debating on whether she wanted to get up or not. On the one paw: beach party, on the other...sleeping. But then Uncle Glace's voice rang out and she quickly jolted up. With wide blue eyes she'd look out of the den. Embarrassment from last time crawled under her skin, but she couldn't help the excitement at seeing her (favorite) uncle. Jolting to her paws, she trotted out of the den. "Uncle Glace will you come swimmin with us too??" She asked hopefully, a wide smile on her face before she turned to look into the den again. "C'mon 'Rennie! Let's have some fun for once!" She said loudly, suddenly hopping on her paws excitedly. "Talk" "You" Think

Current enjoyed her sleep, she could certainly be a heavy sleeper which no doubt exasperated Illume on the nights she encouraged Current to sneak out with her. Her fathers voice started the process of waking her up, Glacier's voice would have her eyes flicking open and Illume's encouragement would at last have her grudgingly crawling to her paws. So far Current had managed to avoid getting into too much trouble, even with Illume's encouragement it seemed her more reserved nature had spared her from her father of Uncle Glacier's wrath. “Coooming” she moaned to her sister as she pulled herself out and shook out her coat in the sunlight. She yawned once, before she was able to shake of the last remains of sleep and was able to bounce to her sisters side. “Yeah Unc, come with us!” she agreed, it was more fun when there Uncle went with him, he was like a whale in the water, well their father was more like a swift dolphin. Voltage Elementas Voltage's ears picked up his brother's voice instantly, and he'd turn to look at him with his signature grin. It was just like Glacier, to always be there when he needed him, even if it was for something as small as this. Tilting his head he'd lift a brow at his brother. "Well I guess so." He said with a tease, lips pulling back wide in a teasing grin. "You have been very good lately." He would laugh then before blinking as Illie made her ever noisy presence. He'd smirk down at her, remembering a day when he was exactly like her. Not quite as...forceful, but dear god he was always in Glacier's face with his energy and noise. Stormy eyes would reguard his blue daughter before looking back at the den when Current made her appearance as well. "Yeah, Uncle Glace will come swimming." He said with a bright smile. There had never been this brand of happiness shining in his eyes. Fatherhood was good for him, he adored it. Looking to his brother then, he'd glance to the ocean. The ever present worry filled him again, and he wondered how the waves and currents were for this fall day. He hoped it wasn't too cold. Shaking his head slightly he'd smile to himself. His daughters were getting older now, they would be just fine. Besides, he and Glacier were there. "No going too deep." He said then, looking at his girls. "You need to always be able to touch the bottom, and Uncle Glace and I have to be able to see you, got it?" He asked then, looking at his girls before looking up at Glacier, knowing his brother would agree to the terms. The ocean had always been a worry for him since they moved there, it was why they invented Locha's rank. To keep an eye on the ocean, to know it, to tell them when it wasn't safe. "speech"

Glacier chuckled lightly at his brothers words of obedience, Voltage easily took to the joke after the Titan had called him 'dad' When Illume bounced on her paws in excitement the Titan steeled himself in case the young girl decided to ambush him, she did love her piggy back rides and jumping on his paws. He smiled at Current as she also made her presence known, abide a little more quietly. She hummed with a quieter energy and he wondered how her element would manifest itself. Already Illume showed signs of the sky calling her name, would Current find her place in lightning? The energy of the world? He stared at her as he mused, before letting his face break out into a smile. “Well, Daddy says I can go” he replied to them both, winking at Voltage who also spoke for him. Voltage set the terms and eyed him and Glacier nodded his agreement. Likely it would work out with one of them on the beach and one in the water to ensure they where in the vicinity of the children where ever they wished to venture. Glacier already started to back step slowly. “All about the Titan train!” he called, kneeling for any of the children that might wish to ride his broad back to the beach. "Burn Baby Burn"

When "rennie" came out into the light, Illie would grin brightly and shift to press her shoulder to her sister, pressing a kiss into her cheek. It wasn't often that they could all go swimming together, and even though Current did enjoy getting into mischeif with Illie, they didn't spend as much time as she would like. So seeing her now, coming to swim with them, the young elementas couldn't help but feel so...elated. Turning bright blue eyes back up to her father and uncle, she couldn't help but feel even happier when they said Uncle Glace could come along. "Yes!" She said happily, jumping forward to weave through her uncles giant legs. She briefly wondered if she would ever grow so big. Large blue eyes would look at Voltage and Glacier in turn, grinning. "So does this mean...that we're gonna start doin' more fun things?" She said in her loud, energetic voice. "Please, say it does!" When Glacier would bow down he immediately jumped towards her Uncle, climbing onto his back as she always did before looking down at her sister. "Need help Rennie?" She asked happily. It had been a long time since Illie was this exuberant. "Talk" "You" Think

Current groaned at her fathers words and hoped that Glacier's presence gave them a little more freedom, she wanted to swim out and explore the ocean, she didn't often get the chance to go very far. When Glacier knelt down she squealed in delight and bounded after her sister. She reached Glacier after illume did and looked up at her sister, smiling she jumped on Glacier's knee and took a swipe at Illume's tail before scrambling onto the broad back. She shuffled closer to her sisters back so Illume could help her if she slipped – her sister always seemed more comfortable doing the scary things and had spent more time on Glacier's back then Current had. She bounced a little on her paws then to make an impact on Glacier's body. “Giddiup!” she squealed “We gotta beat daddy down there” she cried, hoping she could encourage their uncle to race their father to the beach. Voltage Elementas Voltage knew his daughters didn't much like the rules, and perhaps he was...a tad overbearing. But he couldn't help but feel the strong, harsh worry that filled his chest each and every day. He couldn't help the panic that coursed through him at every request to go out, to do something. He'd look at his brother then, brows pinched before he sighed. Today....today he'd let go a little bit, he decided. Today he'd allow his daughters to have some fun, to bend the rules and see what works for themselves. Yes....today, that sounded like an okay idea. He'd take a deep breath, steeling himself for it. It was so difficult! So much harder than he ever expected. This little bit of freedom. He'd need Glacier there, but his daughters...they wouldn't be able to survive if he kept them under lock and key. As his daughters climbed onto his big brother's back, he couldn't help but smile. They would outgrow this soon, but....for now, it was always fun. He would grin before Current challenged him. With a playful grin that hadn't donned his face in so long, he would smirk to Glacier. "I'm gonna win!" He said happily, his tail swishing behind him before he turned to run towards the ocean at a much slower pace than he could run. Glacier did have his precious children on his back. "speech"

Glacier stilled so his little riders could scramble onto his back. Once they where safely aboard he rise slowly to his feet, ensuring they didn't slip off my keeping his fluid movements gentle and slow. When Current challenged them all, he glanced towards Voltage for approval. His litter mate however had already jumped on the idea and started off towards the ocean. “Oh no you don't!” Glacier cried, as he started a smooth run after. He tried to keep his movements as calm as possible so his little passengers didn't jostle overmuch. He kept his pace slow as Voltage had done, paying careful attention not to trip or any of the other things that could go wrong. “Quickly, Ily, Cur, starting wagging your tails, it will propel us faster!” he cried, so his little passengers could join in the competition. When Current climbed up on her own, Illie would grin so brightly, shifting so they could settle upon the giant's back easily. She would lift her gaze to her father then, blinking in surprise at the look on his face. It hadn't been one she had ever seen, but it was quickly forgotten as Current called for a race and..what? Well! That answered her question now didn't it?! A trilling giggle burst from her, and instantly she'd reach for her sister as the race began. It was a subconcious movement reaching for her, to ensure the yellow marked princess was safe, but it was quick. Laughter would bubble from her, the brightest of smiles she had ever had on her face. This is the happiest she had been! Feeling the wind in her face...it tasted like freedom. Happiness would bubble through her chest as she laughed, blinking at Uncle Glace's words. Wag their tails? A playful smirk would touch her lips as she looked at Current, both to make sure she was okay and to see if she wanted to join in on the fun. "How about it Rennie? Lets see if we can win, huh?" She said happily before sticking her tongue out slightly and winking at her sister. She'd shift and begin wagging her tail, giggling all the way as they raced along the beach, heading towards the water. Was this what fun was? Huh, why didn't they do this more often?! When her daddy and Uncle jumped in on the fun it made everything all that more amazing. She had suggested and a race and both of them seemed to be in total agreement. She dug her paws into Glacier's fur as the brute rose to his feet and started to run. She didn't want to slip off and was grateful when illume moved closer to her, and she felt instantly protected in her sisters reach. At Glacier's suggestion and Illume's prompting she started to wag her tail, willing Glacier onward. “Go uncle, go!” she squealed, stinking her tongue out her dad as she felt on tightly to her moving mountain. Voltage Elementas Voltage would lop towards the beach, laughing himself. He was surprised at the sound coming from Illie, his ears perking forward to inhale it all. Yeah...maybe letting loose was a good idea. It wasn't long before they made it to the water, his paws slashing as the water washed ashore. He'd slow then, panting slightly and turning towards his daughters and brother. "I win!" He announced with his cheeky grin, stormy eyes shining so brightly as he did. He'd move towards his brother then, to give them a hand getting down if they needed too. "It's a warm fall day, why don't we all swim." He said gently, looking up at his brother for a little of their silent conversation. Normally one would wait on the beach, watching like a life guard, or they would call Locha to do her thing. But today....today was about..letting go a little more. His children needed to have fun, to play...to not feel so bounded by his rules. Voltage was overbearing, he understood that...and it was hard to let go. This was a big step, not only for his daughters but for himself as well. "Remember! If you get tired to cold you should take a break, hmm?" He said happily, grinning at his not-so-little girls. This was about fun...and yet, his heart still raced in his chest. All he wanted to do was cart them back to the safety of his den and keep them safe forever. But he couldn't...no. Astrea and illie would probably gain up against him if he did. "Are we ready?" He said happily, looking up at his big brother then. "speech"

The children quickly jumped in on the idea and he felt them shifting on his back, and then the little sound of wind as their tails went wild. He pretended to put on a burst of speed that their 'tails' had provided, and just when it looked like they might catch up to the lightning quick Elemental, they reached the beach and came second place. “That's alright, we'll catch him next time” Glacier promised as he bend down to the ground with a groan, giving the small elemental's a chance to depart the ride. “All in sounds good to me Volt” Glacier agreed, climbing back to his feet once both Illume and Current where off. “Last one to the water is a snail!” he cried, and started a large, if slow, stride towards the waters edge, winking at Voltage as he did so, his brother freeing some of the rules was a big step for the loving father, and Glacier would ensure that nothing went wrong today. "Burn Baby Burn"

Illie would hop down from her uncle’s back, pouting at the fact that they had lost despite the fact that they had the largest stead. With a huff she’d stomp through the sand before her father spoke. Ears would perk and she’d freeze before looking back at Voltage with wide blue eyes. Really? All of them swim? That was a first, wasn’t it? Suddenly, excitement would spark through her chest before she grinned so brightly and jumped on her paws. "Oh sweet!!" It had been so long since they had all done something together without one of the adults being on high alert, or without a billion and one rules over her and Rennie’s head. She’d look to Current with the brightest of grins, moving to bump her shoulder against her. "C’mon! Lets swim!" She yelped excitedly, spinning around to run towards the water. Her paws splashed through the shore, a grin on her lips. It was cold but not frigid, not enough that she would shy away from this adventure. Instead she didn’t stop, continueing to run untill she had to paddle, despite the rule that she had to make sure her paws always touched the ground. "C’mon Rennie! The water is great!" She yelled, a shiver in her breath and the biggest smile she had ever had on her face. Today was a fabulous day, even if the water was a touch cold. "Talk" "You" Think

Current leaned forward, as through that could will the giant to speed across the sand. Despite her and Illume's efforts their uncle wouldn't be the winner, and she groaned loudly, sticking her tongue out at her father. Perhaps she would have to challenge her dad herself, through it had been fun having Glacier do all the work. She dismounted after Illume did, hopping onto the sand beside her and she would perk her ears in interest at her fathers words. They had freedom? Really? That was different and she turned and grinned at Illume, hoping the mischief in her expression was fully out of her fathers view. When Illume barked out a comment and spun towards the ocean Current was quick to follow. When she reached the water she winced at the cold touch on her paws but barely hesitant, intent on staying at her sisters side. “I'm here!” Current gasped as she started to paddle through the shallow water she hoped they had gotten far enough from their dad that he wouldn't hear her. “Any plans?' she asked, knowing her sister would know what she meant – how could they stretch the rules to their limits and have fun. Voltage Elementas Voltage would laugh softly at his children, watching their overjoyed expression. He couldn't help but feel guilty, feel like he had been a little overboard. But as soon as he thought that, all the worries flooded back and he felt, again, the desire to just gather them up and hide them away in his den forever. It was okay if they were safe...right? With a sigh he'd shake his head and follow his brother to the water's edge. He wouldn't climb in right away, just standing there and watching his daughters. "Perhaps it wasn't a good idea for me to become a father.." He whispered only for his brother to hear, turning stormy eyes away from the ocean to look at him. "Astrea said so as well, and I know you believe so too....that I shelter them too much. But I just..I cannot bare to even think of harm coming to them." He'd breathe softly, turning back to watch the gentle ocean waves. "Even something small....I just can't handle the thought Brother. It's worse than when our siblings were younger...we didn't have to deal with this level of upbringing. But just, I don't know." He'd sigh heavily then before reaching a paw into the water, shivering at the thought. "I think it's your perfect temperature, brother." He said with a laugh, turning his signature grin towards Glacier. "C'mon, can't go back on my word now..." He'd move into the ocean then, not yet moving towards his daughters. "speech"

Glacier remained at Voltage's side as together they moved closer to the waters edge. When Voltage began to speak, the Titan turned his face to study his brothers, his expression troubled as he read Voltage's doubts there. “No” he said softly “I think of all of you would – and have – made the best father. You have a bit of everything, the lightness and light of yourself, the seriousness and need to protect that I have. You just need to find the right balance, why I no beyond a doubt you will get right in the end” he said softly, his lips quirking into a smile “You've always been a little slow to balance yourself Voltage, but you always get there in the end” he pointed out. As Voltage put a foot in the water Glacier would move forward, sinking himself low to the ground until his belly touched the sand, and he would start to paddle gently with the water, keeping beside voltage much as Illume and Current kept together. “Ass” he sighed, he hadn't hesitated for even a second as he let the cool water envelope him. "Burn Baby Burn"

Illie was on cloud nine...in the cold water, somehow. She paddled happily, splashing in the water with a laugh on her tongue. Her new feathers danced in the water beside her, clipped just behind her ear. Blue eyes would shine as Current came up to her side, her sister's mischievousness never once going un-noticed by the little light girl. She'd grin as Rennie swam up beside her, gently lifting a paw before splashing down in the water to send a spray her sisters way. This was fabulous! Her paws weren't touching the ground, her father wasn't checking in every two seconds. Sure, Glacier and Voltage were still very very close, but she couldn't feel her father's breath on her neck like usual. When Current asked her what the plan was she giggled and looked around, trying to figure something out. "Well fiiiiiirst.." She trailed, glancing towards her father who seemed to be in a deep enough conversation with Glacier. "Lets see how far we can get before Daddy gets mad, hey? That way we'll know how far we can go next time! Like...a test, or somethin." She said excitedly, her paws cutting through the water to keep her afloat. She hummed lightly, glancing around before spotting a large rock just peaking out of the water. "Lets see if we can get ta that thing. Whoever gets there first wins. You in?"
