Breathe easy now my dear
The kids had come to his door as a frightened and mistrusting group and he had thought their time here would be short lived. A few days had passed now since that time, through the war had ended on the day it had begun. He knew that Hellstrom had fallen, and he worried for the fate of its members. He had made it his job through this stressful period of the children's life to offer distractions and entertainment. He had Anais's help with hunting and he put up training lessons daily for any of those willing to attend. It was, of course, Silva who had stuck by him for every one of the lessons he had hosted.
He found the girl willing to lean, a bright eyed and friendly creature despite the situation going on back home. It showed her strength, and he couldn't help the feelings of pride that had started to form for her. It was just... in the giants nature, he couldn't help but bring in strays, the broken and lost, and welcome the sight of watching them return to their strength. No doubt his new found hobby worried the newly made father who lead the pack beside him, but Voltage loved him enough to understand.
Today still held the warmth of the fading summer and he found himself hiding beneath the branches of an old oak tree in his prairie, with his new pupil beside him “What are the main approaches to stalking a hare Silva?”he quizzed her, his lips edging towards a smile as he waited to see how much she would remember.
The time spent with her new favorite person was a welcome addition to her life. The young girl had learned alot in the few days of being here, spending alot of time learning what she could from Glacier and inviting her siblings to join in. Though the rest were reluctant, she wanted badly to keep her mind off of what was going on at home. So she did the best she could, and as she followed the giant across the Prairie, she would find herself casting a glance across the borders towards her home.
She missed her parents, even though her mother never really..spent time with her or her siblings, she still hoped that they were okay. Tearing her mind from the thoughts, she brought herself back to now. Mismatched gaze looked up at the huge oak tree they stood beneath, the girl sitting down as she looked up at the man. Though she hadn't really gotten to know anyone except for him and Gale, and Anais, she liked it here with them.
Glacier's testing question brought her to a mode of thought, but she didn't really have to think hard on it. With a wagging tail, she answered. "Keep low and step lightly, otherwise they'll hear you." That was right, right? She looked up at him with a smile, tongue lolling out the side of her mouth as she searched for his approval. If she had gotten too excited when he was teaching her and forgot, she wouldn't be upset if she was wrong.
