Colder Weather
The sun was up but the air was cold, light winds blew today but it was better then yesterday. Leaving her children to romp around outside of their den in the Orchard, she trusted them not to get into too much trouble. Meanwhile, she would go familiarize herself with the territories she now resided in. The hills here were covered in powdered snow, a few inches thick thanks to last night's snowfall, but now the sun reflected off of the surface. Alot had filled her mind since she left sonticus, but she figured now it was for the better. Arian had lost it, and although she missed her adopted sister, she couldn't keep dwelling on it like she did with her blood family. She had learned to live and let go.
The woman walked at a slow pace, the tip of her tail curled as she trailed along the borders of the knolls, an occasional glance peeking beyond the borders. Somewhere in the back of her mind, she hoped to see her mate come bursting out of nowhere. But it didn't happen. She wasn't sure how to feel about it, but she guessed she would give it some more time. She couldn't wait forever. A lazy moo sound would capture her attention, head swiveling towards the herd that were lazily walking around and nibbling at the remaining grassed and shrubs that poked through the snow. While she wasn't terribly hungry, maybe it would be a good chance to show she was here to do her part. But she couldn't take one down on her own...hopefully someone would come by soon, otherwise there wouldn't be any lunch for anyone. |
