When I grow up...

It had been a long, long time since she had wandered this far from the plains or the estuary. The last time she had left for this long was when she ended up finding her mother and Regulus on that land bridge to the other continent. That seemed like a life time ago now. She wasn't entirely sure what had come over her. She woke up early this morning and suddenly decided she was going to leave for a little bit. She supposed that even she needed to get away from her family from time to time. She hoped maybe she could at least make this trip worth her time and find some herbs to take back with her. Not incredibly likely with it being winter, but she could hope. She paused by one of the mostly bare willow trees and shook out her fur, her necklace jingling around her neck. She was already tired of snow sticking to her fur. She was at least glad to live in the warmer parts of Alacritis. Heaven forbid she live up north with the massive amounts of snow. She looked around at the many willow trees, most of their long, draping branches bare and stick like. The streams all around them still flowed for the most part, but there was ice on their banks that threatened to freeze them over entirely. |
