He remembered little of Solstice and its members, a few fleeting faces whose names often escaped him. Vague memories and an image of a pretty lake, where he, Faun, and his Uncle's children had sometimes gone to swim. He had never seen Valhalla, the largest pack of Alacritis in his parent's time here. It was no wonder he had wanted to leave their island and travel here, to see and remember the mysteries he had once known, to learn of what he had never seen.

He had traveled here alone, leaving all of his family behind and he had searched for Valhalla, searched for anything that might still remain of Solstice... and he had found nothing. Knowing that none of his parent's legacy remained he had made the journey home, only to be told that Faun had left in search of him. He barely stayed a day, kissing his mother on the cheek, listening to a lecture of his father about safety, before he was able to slip away again in search of his sister.

He hadn't taken the time to learn much about the packs of Alacrits or recall anything to do with anything, after all everything he had come to learn was gone. Now, he would wonder uncertainly, trying to find where his sister might have gone. His second day back in Alacritis would be chilled winter and the boy would sit miserably beneath a bowed oak tree, wondering why adventures had sounded so much more appealing falling from his mothers lips then they had proved to be in reality so far.

Vail wasn't one to often leave the pack, she liked the familiarity of Abaven and the relative ease she had of navigating there. However, with her father being really sick she was doing her best to help her sister gather herbs for him. It was a difficult task considering they were in the middle of winter. She still had to try though, there was little else she could do for Shai now, he just seemed to get worse every day. Shaking her head of the thoughts the girl would make her way to old Threar lands. She hoped maybe someone had left their store of herbs in a den somewhere. It would be better than nothing.

Vail would have her usual difficult time in navigating the strange lands, thankfully the sun was out and she'd avoided most of the trees. Already she had found a couple of dens, but neither of them had produced the items she hoped for. As she went on the snow seemed to get deeper, having an okay time previously it would be obvious to any passer by that now she was challenged. Feeling very much alone Vail wouldn't feel ashamed in making grunts of effort as she pushed through the snow.

Feeling strangely alone himself the memoire brute watched the softly falling snow from the cover of his oak tree. The outside world was white on white and he would have completly missed the alabaster wolf fightng her way through the snow laden ground, had it not been for the noises of effort she made. His ears would lift, his body leaning lightly forward as he tried to make out the source of the noise. It was obvious quite quickly what the creator of the sound was and he began to edge forward, out of his sheltered spot. The falling snow was only a light flutter, almost nothing more then a soft, moist wind against his coat.

He found the white wolf with his eyes, with some difficulty. Once he had he would watch her for a moment, utterly amused. Finally, the brute could hold in his amusement no longer, and his tone dripped with it. "There's an easier path directly to your right. I can see the stones from here" he pointed out dryly, baffled as to why the longer wolf didn't use it.

With her troubles at the forefront of her mind the last thing Vail was really looking for were signs of company, she'd continue to trudge on, determined to help her father somehow. The sound of a voice threw her way off guard. Jumping slightly she'd tilt her ears in the direction of the voice, seeing nothing of him when she looked in his direction. Upon realizing what he'd said her ears would fall and she'd look slightly ashamed. Using her long legs to clumsily find what he was talking about she'd turn a brighter shade of pink. "Oh. Thank you." She'd be incredibly embarrassed at being caught in a situation so ridiculous, another side effect of her sightlessness. She didn't really want to stick around long enough for him to make fun of her, so she'd find the path and continue onwards. Of course she wouldn't go too far before she found another snow drift. This task just kept getting better and better.

Now that he was closer to the stranger he could compare the similarities and differences between her and his sister. It was lucky he hadn't mistaken her for for faun and gotten his hopes up. Of course, his sister had a far more exquisite silver shone to her coat and, deeper tones and traces of black within the mix. Certainly she had none of the pink this wolf boosted. They both had a similar delicacy to their pose however, something soft and innocent about them. He would hear the same underlining feature in her voice when she answered him, and he could only grin at the lighter shade of pink her face began to show.

He watched her as she scrambled to find the purchase in the earth he had spoken of, and with a shrug he would have gone back to his reminiscing and mooping. Only... he would watch her struggle again and moment later. His longer paws found the going much easier as he strode boldly closer. "Miss?" He asked his voice a little gentler now "you need to head a little further to the right. Have you never seen snow before?" He wondered. She did look young, it was possible she had no idea how to navigate this season.

She'd sigh heavily as the terrain tripped her up again, it was frustrating. Vail only wanted to do what she could to help her very ill father, why did everything have to be so difficult. Especially when she was so desperate. It was even better that she had an audience, at least she'd never see him again after this. Ears still pinned to her skull she'd look towards him, sightless eyes pointed in his direction. She could see the shadow of him quite well against the white background. "Sir?" He was a bit less harsh now as he went on to say something about her seeing snow before. "I can't really see much of anything. I know there's snow everywhere, at varying heights, but it muffles the sound and i don't know what i'm stepping in until i've stepped." Her ears were still back and her cheeks would only get redder by the moment.

oh! he was startled to realize she was blind. Turning her sightless gaze towards him he would catch the milky film of her soft, soft blue eyes. “Um.” he said, remembering to blink, and as his lids flicked over his iris he would pull free of the spell that had settled over him. Her words only reaffirmed what he had already realized, and he could have kicked himself for the fool he was being. He picked his feet carefully through the snow, almost at her side this time. Through she couldn't have seen the mischievous glint in her eyes, perhaps she could catch it in his tone as he spoke. “My dear milady, I apologize for my asshat behavior” well. No one would ever call him a gentleman. “Perhaps I can make it up to you. May I escort the beautiful lady to her destination?” or, perhaps there was hope for him yet. No doubt his sister would have been startled to hear such a statement fall from his alabaster lips.

A quizzical look would overcome her features as he offered her one more word and seemed to freeze. Her eyebrows would fall, realizing as he was realizing that she was mostly blind. She'd sigh again, her face still lingering with its vivid shade of pink. He came closer and for a moment she thought to shy away, but she knew she wouldn't be getting anywhere fast. His words were sweet though, his apology firm and the prospect of making up for his behavior taking her by surprise. The emotion was clear on her face, "That would be very kind of you." She didn't want to go back to the pack empty-pawed, would he be willing to help her find what she searched for? "I'm.. I'm looking for something that might not even be here. A pack used to reside here, when they left... I hoped I might find an old healers den with some stores left." She'd give him her objective, but she let too much desperation shine in her voice.

The boy smirked when he called her kind. To bad his sister wasn't here to set her right, he missed that silly little fluff ball. He shrugged away the thought, and his hopeless venture to find faun. She accepted his offer without protest and he gave a swaggering step closer, his fur just about brushing her own coat now. "Alright, milady fluffball" he said when she laid out her objective. "Let's see what we can do about finding your healers den" he said agreeably, flaunting a step forward and shifting his head side to side as he studied their surroundings. "Hmm Alrighty then. Let's try this way" he decided, already moving as he spoke. He hummed lightly under his breath as he moved, watching the lay of the land and trying to thibk where a healer might decide to den. "That looks like a den. Cant grantee it's a healers of course but it's worth a try" he suggested, changing direction carefully so she could get an idea on where he was.

The taller wolf would make his way closer, and Vail realized that if he was going to do anything to her now would be the time. She'd brace herself, but as he reached her all he was there for was to lead her, just like he'd said. The young she wolf would smile in relief at his sudden nickname for her. She wasn't that fluffy was she? She wouldn't linger on those thoughts. It was time to go, Vail would follow after him, leaving only inches between them as he would guide her through the snow. It was interesting that he hummed as he walked, and Vail thought it nice to have such a soothing melody in favor of only the sound of their paws in snow. They wouldn't travel for very long before Solor had found another den, "That looks like a den." She'd nod as he shifted so she could get to the entrance. Carefully the girl would slip inside. The weirdest part was how much it smelled like family, but not herbs. This was not a healer's den. She'd return to the surface quickly. "Nothing in that one." reporting her findings back to him as she straightened once more.

He felt completely at ease, his amusement spread across his lips for the world to see – except, funnily enough for the one who put it there. He picked up a more intricate tune as she explored the den he had pointed out to her. He remained on the outside, not treading into this place that had apparently once meant something to her. His paw tapped lightly on the snow, the dull thud adding to the music he created with his throat and lips. He had always liked natures music, it must have something to do with being raised on a beach, with the sound of the waves at their doorstep.

He straightened out from the position he had assumed to continue his drumming and easily pranced back into step again, looking for all the world like he had no better place to be. He kept his desire to reunite with his sister tucked away into a little corner, where the fretting it gave him couldn't bother him and take away from the moments of day to day life. “So, Miss fluff butt. Why the desperation for herbs?” he wondered idly.

She'd notice the rather upbeat music that fell from her companion's lips, she'd heard singing and music making before and she found she rather enjoyed it. Sound was one of her primary senses, while she couldn't see the beauty of the world she could hear it. So the young Destruction had gained quite the appreciation for music despite never really experimenting herself. Her tail would wag back and forth in time with his music as she searched, the gesture putting her in a little better mood as he distracted her from the realities that awaited her at home.

As she slipped back out of the den and followed him to their next destination she'd smile amusedly at the nick name that seemed to want to stick, her butt wasn't that fluffy was it? However, that good natured smile wouldn't linger for long as he asked the why's of her quest. Her features would fall as she recalled for him her purpose. "My father, he's very ill. With it being winter there's not a lot of herbs we can find for him, so I hoped maybe there would be something here I can use." Her tone of voice made it obvious how dire her situation really was. She could be experiencing the last few days of her father's life.

Humming came naturally as he walked before the strange girl. His rich, black tail that streamed behind him occasionally flicked against the knees of the girl behind him. When it touched the left leg it was an indication he was going to change his direction slightly to that direction, and vice versa. Following in his footsteps she should have found it much easier to traverse the snow in the paths he chose.

He would listen when she explained herself, hearing the deep, underlining tones of her worry wouldn't certain enlighten him to how bad the situation must be. “Don't worry, we'll find your healers den” he promised her, already committed to the search. He wasn't familiar with this territory but he followed it to logic – a healer would need a den above ground level, to ensure there was never flooding, to keep their herbs dry. He decided to pick a slopping path, and kept his eyes out for any possible dens. “There's another” he said, nodding his head despite her inability to see the action. He stopped directly outside the den so perhaps she could feel the change in the air that would lead her towards it.

Solor had no need to explain his method of direction, as he flicked her with his tail she soon caught on that they would be changing direction. It helped her a bit, that and the sound of his paws crunching heavily in the snow. It helped as she was distracted by thoughts of her father, she might have run into another drift if he hadn't reminded her where he was going. She'd look up at his through her mostly sightless eyes, (she was still amazed at how well she could make out his shape behind the bright snow backdrop. He was much like her dark furred relatives in that respect. She could always find them so much easier than Bass or one of his mostly white children.) as he promised her they would find a den. She hoped he was right. Trying to return the smile that had faded the girl would continue on, ready to explore the next den as Solor pointed it out.

She would find it easily, though she had to dig at the entrance a bit before she was able to slip inside. She knew instantly that they'd found what they were looking for. "Solor there are herbs in here!" The relief was so immense that she couldn't hold in the revelation. She'd sniff at the old herbs, sure that who ever had left it for them hadn't even thought to bring them with them. Eagerly she would grab what Shaye had asked her for, and triumphantly the girl would find her way out of the den. Now the hard part: getting back to Abaven.

Solor gave a flourishing bow when Vail cried out in delight. He waited a moment before sticking his head in the den and watched her gather some herbs. He didn't have the faintest clue how she identified them, he was certainly no healer himself. “You can bring back more if I carry some. Or will that be all you need?” he wondered as she started to exit the den. He walked backwards in the snow to give her the room she needed to fit through the exit. Not that she needed much, she was a petite little thing with soft white fur. It was a wonder he hadn't lost sight of her in the snow yet.

He sat on the earth beside the den to see what she wanted to do now. “How far do you have to head anyhow?” he wondered idly. He couldn't bring himself to walk away yet, he had joked that his aid had been to make up for his rude behavior but truly it had been a decent distraction from his own worries.

As she reappeared his voice would greet her, offering again more help to her on her quest. He'd go so far as to offer her help back to where it was she had come from, which was an incredibly generous offer. What might have taken her all day would be cut into just an hour or so. The surprised emotion on her face was evident, but she wouldn't think about shooting down such an offer. She'd place her herbs down at her paws, "That's very kind, just grab whatever you can." She'd wonder how far they were from Abaven from here, surely not all that far. "We aren't going too far, My pack borders these lands." Threar had been here for a long time, even longer than she had been alive. She hadn't know that part of the family incredibly well, but it still hurt to see them just disappear like this. "Are you sure you want to come with me?" Surely he was bored of her presence by now, she could find her way back with what she had well enough.

He would see the surprise in her expression and he titled his head, his lips quirking into a smile. Just look at him now, anyone would think a perfectly polite gentleman. He could just imagine Vir getting into laughter at this site. But then, she knew so much better then anyone else how far it was he fell from a gentleman. He had no trouble puling pranks on people, or pushing his sister into the ocean. The only thing that separated him from an asshole was that he would never hurt her or anyone else, it was fun and games and he never let it go so far as to be anything cruel.

He shook his head, he wasn't suppose to be dwelling on thoughts of his silver sister. “Sure, why not” his voice was casual in response to her question, already scooping up a bunch of herbs into his mouth. He didn't know what he grabbed, the delicate things already mixed and sticking out from between his lips. He grinned, and pranced out of the den, the sound of his paws on the dry den floor changed to the crunch of snow. “I believe this will have to be the blind leading the blind. I'm not sure where your pack is” he admitted, his lips, full of herbs, lifted in another amused smile
