Winter Blues

The silver brute wove between the thick trunks of the trees, minty eyes glued to the horizon as he made his way across the borders. He was doing a patrol of the borders, as well as growing familiar with his new home. He had not yet met many of the wolves who lived here, besides seeing them all at the meeting that Katja had called a few weeks ago. Other than that he hadn't really socialized, which was all on his shoulders. He couldn't expect everyone to come and seek him out just to say hello, he wasn't that important after all. Cathaoir knew that it was him who would have to make the effort, but there was a part of him that held him back. From what he had seen, the wolves here were close already. Few members but close ones, he had received a few glances as the unknown body at the meeting. Cath still had much to learn about this pack that was now his home, to really put himself out there to get to know these wolves. Just... just not right now.
The tall male sighed, his paws shuffling in the thick snow. His coat was growing thicker already to combat the rough winter weather in the North, and for that he was thankful. The first bit he had just wanted to hide in his den and not freeze to death, but now he could actually move about the lands without feeling like his toes were going to fall off. It all came with the territory, he supposed. Shaking his dark grey marked head he kept moving along the borders, careful to look out for any threat that may lay ahead.
