Evangeline Imperialis was not please. She had turned two years old - officially an adult, which should have been pleasing, but it also heralded the onset of her first heat cycle. Her mother had made certain she knew what to expect and how to deal with it, but despite the warnings Vana hadn't expected how uncomfortable it would be, or how intensely embarrassing. She had spent much of her time hiding in her den but there was a limit to how long she could stay cooped up, and the itching need of her heat was driving her up a wall. She didn't want any of her pack mates - more specifically, her brothers or her father - to see her like this. Angelus would probably tease her forever for it. So when she couldn't take the claustrophobia and her own damn scent any longer she'd fled pack lands entirely to go throw herself in a river. Well, that was the plan until she'd gotten to the river and seen how flooded it was. As melodramatic as she was feeling she didn't actually want to die and swimming in the river right now was as good as a death sentence. So instead she'd wandered a fairly short distance away from the mucky rushing water and flopped down in the mud with a huff and a pouting whine, for once disregarding the muck that now coated her. Spring was his birth season, though he didnt have to worry about being in heat, he was another year older. One more year without a family. The man might have just kept walking had he not noticed the dark girl laying in the mud. His not so happy thoughts turned to curiosity. Why was she laying in the mud? Was the first question that came to mind, as he drew closer and caught her scent and he wondered why she was out here by herself.

Embarrassment insisted she clamp her tail down and tried to put a wobble in her lip but she forced herself to stand with regal imperiousness as she glared at him, clamping her jaw to control the trembling of her chin. The man would stand there silently with a raised brow as the woman threw, what he was pretty sure was, sarcasm at him. She would then look away from him and s the man would open his mouth to say something she would shut it as she turned her glaring yellow optics back on him only to stand up and have to glare down at him.

At her question the man would sit down to show her she hadn't intimidated him. Infact she was being hateful for nothing in his opinion. "I dont want anything from you, and with the way you smell not all men would say that." he would give her his own light frown "I did however, come over here to make sure you were ok."
