There was a small (so small) voice in his mind that said it was too early to be drinking. Thankfully for Wyndham that voice was almost entirely drowned out by raucous, joyful crowing that crowded his mind with each swig. Now he was pleasantly drunk enough that he'd left his meadskin in the safety of a shallow hole and wandered off to find a meal. The massive expanse of grassy plains stretched out before him in seeming infinity. Every direction he looked was the same save for one lone, crooked tree in the distance. To his eye it wobbled slightly despite the breeze being very light, but that could have easily been the alcohol doing its work. He grinned stupidly at it, mesmerized for a moment by the tiny undulating movements. It wasn't until his stomach protested its hunger that he was set moving again. The sun was just reaching its zenith, but despite that there was still an early-spring chill clinging to the air. A sudden explosion of grass to his left announced the flight of a hare, but his reactions were too dulled for him to give chase. Instead he flinched into an almost predatory stance, stared hard in the direction the creature had run, and waited. What he was waiting for even Wyndham wasn't sure. Maybe if he just stood still long enough the hare would come back out of curiosity and he would have an easy lunch. That seemed as feasible a conclusion as anything else.

Cerse was out exploring the world. She was so new to this place, that everything felt like a little bit of an adventure. Well, as well as much of an adventure as it could be. Really, every grassy field looked just the same as the last. She had seen enough of them in her short life, travelling from her old home, and making a rather impressive circle to here. For the record of the longest way around ever taken, Cerse would probably win. But she was here, with her brother and sister and she couldn't be happier. Slowly she moved through the long grasses, her bright nebula fur sticking out like a very sore thumb. There was something...challenging about her fur color when it came to hunting. She almost seemed to glow, and that managed to catch the attention of prey animals she was trying to sneak up on. So she gave up for the day, unable to really find something stupidest enough to hunt today. She sighed softly, stepping delicately, citrus eyes looking to and fro. Suddenly, she paused, gaze darting to a hare that darted out practically under her nose. Her jaws snapped quickly but closed on thin air and she growled in frustration. "Just great." She huffed, rolling citrus eyes before she blinked another movement in the corner of her eyes. Tilting her head, she looked towards the stranger before a teasing smirk touched her lips. "Did you miss it too?" She said with a small laugh, before looking back down at the grass at her paws, searching for any sign of another prey animal. She was rather hungry...

As silently and precisely as Wyndham stood, the hare didn't deem him fit to grace his presence again. A voice finally broke the silence and the spell a fleeing meal had cast upon him. He blinked for a moment, eyes darting around the grass before him, before he finally angled his head towards the stranger. How he hadn't noticed her before must've surely been a side effect of the alcohol. He peered at her sharply, taking in every fuzzy detail. She was practically... nebulous. He certainly stared silently for far longer than was socially acceptable, but by the time his brain had caught up it was too late. A woflish grin spread across his features.

"Damn thing was just too fast for me, I guess," he hummed. Finally his body relaxed away from that disheveled hunter's stance and into the more inviting body language he normally carried. "Kinda disappointing, I'm gettin' pretty hungry. Wyndham Rittan Cross, by the way." As always, his name was announced with a certain air of pride, even through a slight drunken drawl.

With no signs of any other prey animals, she gave up and sighed. He seemed to give up as well, because he easily shook himself from his stuppor and then began to stare. For a moment she let him, because it wasn't uncommon to be stared at, but as the seconds ticked on she couldn't help but raise her eyebrows at him, and stare back. "First time in these lands?" She asked, her gaze steady as she stared right back at him before he began to grin. Oh, what a weird creature.

She nodded her head at the comment before stepping closer so they weren't just shouting at each other over the distance. Not that he seemed to mind, but she guessed that maybe manners were low on his priority list. Not that she was judging, just a thought. Slowly she swept his much smaller form with citrus eyes, taking in his simple appearance and awkward...look. There was something off about him. "You, my Wyndham, look like you are about to fall over." She observed, her accent thick on her tongue. "Cerse Aeris." It was simple, sweet, and without the pride that he had shown, but she introduced herself with a gentle dip of her head.
