Spring Into A New Life
She had thought about it, and now she was ready. Her...son, she guessed, was following close behind as she made her way from their den in the nook to the borders of the pack. Fiori he said, right? They were related...that thought alone made her think that this would be the right choice. Yes, she loved being a rogue because she go and do whatever she wanted, but it did get lonely. She had told Odysseus and Olafur, and they would still be friends. She didn't know if they would come with her, but she didn't want to keep wandering by herself. And now with a child she had never thought she'd have, she couldn't do it by herself. Ever since Valefor was born, she had remained in her den doing whatever it was mothers did. But she wasn't ready, she didn't have the mentality for it yet...maybe someone else could take care of him?
The usual bounce in her step wasn't entirely there today, neither was the hyperactivity she usually had. It was kind of depressing...but maybe being around others would help? Maybe she could make friends!? And...maybe Valefor would find someone else to cling to. Maybe it wasn't fair of her, but she had never planned on having him...she glanced back at the pup, following faithfully behind her. Sighing, she stopped at the borders when she arrived, and instead of howling which was the usual call, she peered across the borders and called for Leo. "L-Leo? Are you there?" She called out, hopefully...he would hear. If not, then she would try something else. |
He was so excited! Mom had said something about going to see someone that was related to her? So did that mean he was related to? They were nearing a place he had never seen, granted he'd never been beyond the redbud nook since he was born not too long ago, so this excited him! The pup, however, didn't have as much excitement as other pups. Despite his suppressed excitement, his mother didn't seem too happy with him. Every time she looked at him, he couldn't help but to pin his ears and look away. But he thought it was normal, and of course, he didn't know he was something she had never wanted.
Walking along behind her, he stopped when she did and listened as she called for someone called Leo. Was that who she was related to? Was that who he was related to? Deep purple eyes gazed across what he assumed was someone else's home, like the redbud nook was their home. His tail wagged a little, oh he couldn't wait to see who this Leo was!
